So by using a beautiful and rich in colour background paper, I find that you only need to add a sentiment, a focal point and voila, one elegant but quick card.
The DP is from a small paper pad by Recollections called Botanical Noel and I believe I got it last year at Michaels. The papers in this paper pad are beautiful and most have gold foil designs on them which make them very elegant but a huge problem to photograph, well for me anyway :-)
For my focal point I used the Drop Ornament and the Emma Ornament dies from Memory Box. I added some stickles to the center of each snowflake on the Emma Ornament.
The scalloped edge and the greeting were cut out using SU! punches. For my next greeting, I think I will stamp it in Versamark ink and then gold emboss it. I think that will look beautiful too. I'll share it with you and you can decide for yourselves.
For the inside I just used the same red and ivory cardstock. The sentiment is computer generated. I sometimes see sentiments on stamps or store cards that I like so I come home, change them a little to suit me and then use them on my cards.
How do you all come up with your sentiments? I have a few stamps, but after using them so many times, I get a little bored with them, so I'm always looking for inspiration.
I will be back tomorrow with the Hiding in My Craft Room challenge # 123 - SSS (Super Scraps Saturday).
Till then,
Enjoy your day!
Hugs,
Lena
