Using Guide the Helm by Graciellie Designs, I made this card for a very special young lady who turned 21. This is such a wonderful stamp set. I love the sentiments that come with it and used one of them on the inside of my card.

Crafty Ingredients:

Gracielle Design New Stamp Release & Blog Hop

Hi bloggie friends.  I'm so honoured to have been invited by Gracie to join her and her team on her new stamp release blog hop.

The stamp set I used to make my card is the beautiful Poppy Wishes. Here is a peak at this beautiful set. The poppy is gorgeous and I love, love all the beautiful sentiments that are included in this set. They are perfect to use both on the outside and inside of your cards.  Please visit Gracie's Digi Shop to see the rest of the collection that is being released today.

Here is the card I made. I kept it CAS in order to showcase this gorgeous poppy flower.

I used one of the beautiful sentiments on the front of the card.  The image was coloured using copic markers. 

On the inside, I printed another poppy and used another one of the beautiful sentiments.

In addition to the sequins, I went over some of the petals with wink of stella pen to add a little more sparkle and shine.

Monochromatic Challenge at HIMCR

 Hello crafting friends, and welcome back to my blog.

Our challenge this week at Hiding in My Craft Room is Monochromatic!  While I was making my card, I thought this would be a challenge indeed.  I've been making cards for 6 years and I have never done a card in a monochromatic colour scheme!

I used one of the beautiful doilies from the Doily Flowers Digital Stamp set by Graciellie Designs to make this Sympathy card. You can't see it properly from the pic (I had the darnest time photographing this card), but the doily is a light shade of lilac.

Card stocks are all from my scraps drawer.  The butterfly is a die cut made with the Viviene Butterfly die from Memory Box.  I added some pearls and a  ribbon to finish the card. I also went over the butterfly with a clear Wink of Stella pen to give it a slight shine.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my card.
