Oval Slatted Birthday Card

Hello everyone and welcome back.  While cleaning up some craft supplies, I found this pretty paper from Marianne Designs called Country Flowers.

After rummaging through my dies, I thought this Slatted & Eclipse Oval die from Divinity Designs would work well and so I went to work.

I never get tired of this slatted look.  It's so subtle but makes a pretty paper really stand out.
I normally cut out the slatted shape 3 times using thick cardstock.  Then I adhere each layer to each other using liquid glue.  I find that these 3 layers plus the pretty paper layer gives it enough height without adding too much bulk.  This is especially important when you mail cards overseas. Anything thicker than 1/4" requires additional postage.

On the inside, I used the following products:
Stampabilities - Elegant Happy Birthday
VersaFine Clair Inks - Shady Lane
eK punches - photo corners

And that was a quick and easy birthday card done. It doesn't show on the pic, but I did add a couple of small lilac butterflies to the inside just to add a little more interest and to match the front of the card.

See you again soon.

Hugs,

Fairy Stamper ~ Happy New Year!

Hello crafting friends and welcome to my last Fairy Stamper Friday share!
I have enjoyed this creative journey for a little over 3 years, but I decided to step down and reduce my DT projects for now.  Life is a little crazy at the moment and I'm not having as much time to craft as I would like.

Since it is the end of 2022 and the New Year celebrations are upon us this weekend, I made a Happy New Year card.  Take a look ...

I began by using a slimline piece of cardstock from the Fairy Hugs Slimline collection.  Next I stamped the fairies, then masked them and stamped the mushrooms.  Then I stamped the flowers.  When the ink was dry, I stamped the fireworks using VersaMark ink and used gold, blue and silver embossing powders to add colour and shine to them.  Lastly I added the glitter to the fairy wings and little "flowers" to the green vines.

On the inside, I kept it very simple by computer generating the greeting and ink blending around it. I used gold mirror cardstock to add a little shine to this Happy New Year card.

Now for the list of supplies I used, each linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Fairy Hugs Papers - Moon Light Night
Marianne Designs - Wild Flowers
Fairy Hugs Glitter - Translucent Pearl
Distress Oxide Inks - Stormy Sky
VersaFine Clair Inks - Rain Forest, Acorn, Twilight

The Marianne Design stamp set was purchased during an International Stamps Special Order event that the Fairy Stamper store holds every once in a while. The best way to know about these is to subscribe to their newsletter HERE.

I would like to say a big thank you to Dani for having had me on his Fairy Stamper team, and to Anne Temple for being the best team leader a crafter could ask for.   Thank you both so much for adding so much fun and joy to my Fairy Stamper crafty journey.  I would also like to thank my teamies for always supporting me with their encouraging comments, their creative inspiration, and let's not forget the enabling! 😀

Thanks so much for stopping by today, crafting friends.  I hope you will come join us and share your magical creations on our Facebook group.

Happy New Year!

Fairy Stamper ~ Deer in the Forest

Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

As Christmas approaches, cards should all be in the mail by now.  If you're like me, though, you're still a few cards short.  This card came together pretty quickly so I think it will work well for mass producing.

I began stamping the deer and the pine trees.  Next I partially masked the deer and inking the sky.
When all the ink was dry, I used a stencil and Aleene's Glitter Snow paste to create the snowfall. When the paste was dry, I used my dies to make all the die cuts, embossed the white mat, and assembled the card.

On the inside, I left it very simple by just stamping my Christmas sentiment. This gives me space to write my personal message. All in all it just took me a little over 20 minutes to complete this card.

Listed below are the supplies I used to make my card, most linked the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Fairy Hugs stamps - Rugged PinesMini Deer, Pine Cluster
Distress Oxide Inks - Stormy Sky
VersaFine Clair Inks - Acorn, Pinecone, Rain Forest
Frog's Whiskers Stamps - A Wonderful Year

Other supplies:
Marianne Design - Merry Christmas Circle
Elizabeth Craft Designs - Snowstorm & Mounds Stencil
Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

Frog's Whiskers stamps and others from European companies are available at Fairy Stamper during special order events that the Fairy Stamper store holds every once in a while. The best way to know about these is to subscribe to the newsletter HERE.

Fairy Stamper ~ Snowflake Swirls

Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

When the ballerina fairies begin to dance, snowflakes begin to swirl and Quilo joins in with some prancing of his own :-)

Using a Fairy Hugs paper, and a few Fairy Hugs stamps, I created this magical scene. I stamped the different images in different colours to create a little contrast and depth. I've listed all the supplies I used later on in this post.

On the inside I kept it simple so that I have plenty of space to write my own personal message. In order to carry the magic to the inside of the card, I stamped another snowflake swirl and the Christmas greeting.

Listed below are the supplies I used to make my card, each linked the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Fairy Hugs Stamps
Fairy Hugs Papers
Twilight, Nocturne, Rain Forest
Stormy Sky, Villainous Potion

Fairy Stamper ~ Faux Wood Burning Tag #1

Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

Following a tutorial by Sandy Allnock, I tried my hand at faux wood burning, and for a newbie and first time try, I think it came out okay.

There really isn't much to tell you about this project.  If you take a look at Sandy's tutorial, she explains and shows how's it done a lot better than I ever could.  I can tell you, however the supplies I used to make my tag, and I have linked them to the Fairy Stamper store.

Fairy Hugs stamps - Rugged Pines, Mini Deer
Distress Oxide ink - Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso
VersaFine ink - Onyx Black

I have a small wood burning Dremel tool attachment that I may try at a later date.  For now I'm having fun with these.  Stay tuned, there will be more of these tags coming soon.

Fairy Stamper ~ Bell Winter Scene

Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

I recently got this new bell stencil and snowflake frame die. What better way to play with my new stash of Fairy Hugs stamps.

First I inked the bell, then stamped the images to create the scene.
Next I matted and adhered all my layers and voila, front of the card done!

On the inside I stamped another little scene to go with the one in the front and added the sentiment. I'm loving these new Winter dies from Fairy Hugs. The possibilities are endless for Christmas and Winter cards.

Here is the list of supplies I used, each linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

VersaFine Clair Inks - Rain Forest, Twilight, Tulip Red

Other materials used:
Sweet Poppy Stencil, designed by Emma Cronin - Large Bell
Moonstone Dies by Hunkydory - Falling Snowflakes Frame

Fairy Stamper ~ Mushroom Hopping

Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

A little mushroom hopping fun, today, in Fairy Land. The kittens came to join in the fun, while the butterflies are flying along keeping a watch on all the shenanigans.

I did a very light water colour layer on the background. Then stamped my images, coloured them, added glitter to the fairy wings, and it was done.  On the inside, I inked in the grass and stamped another little kitty for fun.

Below is the list of supplies I used, each one linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Fairy Hugs Stamps ~ Lantern Tree, Laughter, Dixie, Trixie

Fairy Stamper ~ Bear Fun

Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

The little fairies often come out to play with the bear cubs in this part of the woods.

I was going thru my patterned paper scraps drawer and this beautiful woodsy paper called to me.  I figured that the bear cubs would enjoy these woods, so I stamped them straight onto the patterned paper using Pinecone VersaFine ink.  Then I stamped the fairies using Twilight ink, also from VersaFine.  Lastly, I applied glitter, in different colours, to the fairies' wings.  I used a glaze pen to add some fruit and berries to the trees. After all, all that play is bound to give these cubs the munchies!

So, here is the small list of supplies I used, each one linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Fairy Stamper ~ The Majestic Luna & Friends

Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

Do you think that if I keep making Summer cards, I can keep Winter away?
Now there's a happy thought for me 😀

Those two little turtles have become Luna's constant companions.  I think they feel safe in her majestic presence 😀  To make this card, I used several stamps from a few companies, all available at the Fairy Stamper store.  A little masking here and there and a little colouring and this card came together in very little time.  It's easy when you use one of the Fairy Hugs pre made backgrounds.

As always, here is the list of supplies I used to make this card, each linked to the
Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Fairy Hugs Papers - Deep Blue Sea
Amy Design Stamps - Friendly Frogs

The Marianne Design supplies were purchased during an European Special Order event.  The best way to know about these events, that take place every so often, is to subscribe to the Fairy Stamper newsletter HERE.

Fairy Stamper ~ Trick or Treat

Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

With Halloween around the corner, I need to continue working on my cards, so with this in mind I made this slimline card of these cute kitties going trick or treating 👻

I began by stamping the 3 kitties on a piece of 8 3/4" x 3 3/4" cardstock and on masking paper so I could make masks for them. Then I stamped the pumpkin house and also make a mask for it. Once all the masks were cut and put in place, including the moon mask, I began inking the background creating the different elements of the landscape by tearing strips of copy paper and using them as masks.  I then stamped the stacked pumpkins twice onto white cardstock and coloured them in using copic markers. This is where Memento Ink comes in handy because if you allow your stamped image to dry for a couple of minutes, it won't run or smudge when colouring with copic markers.  Once the pumpkins were all coloured in, I fussy cut each stack and adhered them to the card.  Lastly, I stamped the two little witchy dwellers.

On the inside, I used the same Distress Oxide Inks to create a frame around my card, and then stamped the Halloween greeting in the middle.  I also added a couple of the little witches for a little fun.  Once all done, I adhered both mats to a 9" x 4" dark purple cardstock base.

Even though I don't often do this, I decided to decorate the envelope too.  I did a light ink blending around the edges, using the same Chipped Saphire, Villainous Potion and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks,  and added a few of the witchy dwellers for good measure 👻

Here is the list of supplies I used, each one linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Fairy Hugs Stamps - Milo, Shadow, Ziggy
Fairy Hugs Stamps - Pumpkin House, Pumpkin Stack
Fairy Hugs Stamps - Witchy Dwellers, Halloween Hello
Tim Holtz - Moon Mask

Fairy Stamper ~ Tea Party

Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

It's the beginning of September and that means it's back to school in Fairy Land, but not without an end of Summer party.  The tables are set and the lights are on, so let the party begin!

I love using pre-inked background papers. Makes it so much easier, less messier and less time consuming :-)
As soon as I saw this one from the Bumbletwinkle pack I knew it would be perfect for the scene I had in mind. I then stamped the various elements using a variety of inks and colours and added a touch of colour here and there with copic markers.  To finish it off, I added a small bead of glassy accents to all the lights.  To continue with the theme, on the inside, I added a little teapot and teacup on a tree stump.

Here is the list of supplies I used, each one linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.
