Crafty Gals Corner #266 ~ Fill in the Blank - Adorable .....

Hello crafting friends and welcome to this month's challenge

The theme for our challenge this month is

~ Fill in the blank - Adorable_____ ~
(Bunny, Chick, Easter Egg, Digi, Layout, etc.)

Our sponsors for this challenge are:
(listed in alphabetical order)

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize: 3 Digital Stamps

Since I'm short on Easter cards and Easter is just a couple of weeks away, I made a card using a digi from each of our sponsors.

For my first card, I used Party Balloon Bunny Rabbit from Polkadoodles.

For my second card, I used  Easter on Wheels from The Paper Shelter.

I used a file from Silhouette for each of the card bases.  The first card's base is design number 404111 and for the second card, I used design number 348017.  Both are box card formats and both fold flat for mailing. Both digis were printed on to photo paper.  Coloured cardstocks used were from scraps drawers.  Cardstock bases are both from The Paper Studio.  And before you think that my colouring skills have improved drastically, I want to let you know that both digis were pre-coloured 😀

And that crosses off "grandchildren Easter cards" off of my list.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I would love to you see you play along with us.  You have until noon, CST, on 13 May 2025, to link your project to our challenge.

Crafty hugs,

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

A while back, I purchased this cute pre-coloured image from Polkaddodles and thought it perfect for this challenge.  This image is called Gnome Spring Chicks.

Using this very cute Easter digi, I created this double rocker card. The file was from the Silhouette Store, as are the printed papers.  I printed the digi on photo paper so that the colours stand out brighter.

Side view fromt his double rocker card.

Here is a close up of the image.  Isn't it super cute?

I made a small mat on the back so that I can write my message.

Supplies used to make this card:
Polkadoodles - Gnome Spring Chicks pre-coloured digi
Silhouette - Double Rocker Card
Design Paper - Silhouette Pattern
Marianne Designs - Basic Circles w/Alphabet (CR1597)
Recollections - Enamel Dots
Recollections - White, & Sky Blue cardstocks

That's all for today folks.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I would love to you see you play along with us.  You have until 12:00 pm, CST, on 9 May 2023, to link your project to our challenge.

Cocktail Chilly

Hello crafting friends and welcome back to another fun challenge starting today at Crafty Gals Corner!

Challenge # 198 ~ Emboss It!
(You can use any form of embossing on your project)

Our wonderful sponsors for this challenge are ...

Prize ~ 1 Digital Image (non-colored)

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

SheepSki Designs
Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

To make my W-Fold card, I was inspired by my very creative friend, Patti.  If you're looking for inspiration, stop by Patti's blog.  She's got tons for you!
For the front of the card, I used a super cute, pre-coloured Cocktail Chilly image from Polkadoodles.  I love pre-coloured images, especially when you're in a bit of a hurry, you can whip up a card in no time.

In keeping with our challenge theme, I used an embossing folder from Embossibilities called Let It Snow.  I embossed the front panel as a background for my image, and the two inside panels to tie it in altogether.
The snowflakes were put together by cutting snowflakes in various sizes using various MS punches.

That was it. This card looks so pretty and didn't take too much time to put together at all.  Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you liked my card and feel inspired to get crafty and come play along with us.

In case you don't know, Crafty Gals Corner is now a monthly challenge blog.  We post on the second Wednesday of every month.  This means that you have until 12:00 pm CST on 10 September  2019, to link your card to our challenge.

Till next time,

Challenge # 189 ~ Easter is on its Way!

Our wonderful sponsors for this challenge are:

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ 2 Sets

Prize ~ 3 Digital Stamps

With Easter just around the corner and with my very low stash of Easter cards, it was time to get crafting :-)  I made two different projects using images from two of our wonderful sponsors.
My first project is an Easter egg shaped easel card.

Crafty Ingredients:
Image -  Easter Time Mice - Polkadoodles (Pre-coloured)
Card Design - Egg Shaped Easel Card - Silhouette # 57957
Burgundy card stock - The Paper Studio
White card stock - Neenah Solar White
Light blue with small polkadots DP - Core'dinations
Wink of Stella pen applied to hearts, eggs and paints
Blue rick rack, hearts and leaves - digitally added
Mini chocolate eggs - Cadbury's 😁

For my second project, I made a pillow treat box with matching Easter egg shaped card.
This set comes with various pillow boxes with different shaped cut outs, and some cute sentiments. Take a look at the reverse side of the pillow box.  And since, in my house, nobody really likes jelly beans, I added mini chocolate eggs as the treat.

Crafty Ingredients:
Bunny Poop Pillow Box / Card set - The Cutting Cafe
Easter egg DP - Silhouette design #289833
Blue card stock - GinaK.
Copic markers used for colouring bunny faces
Bow with gem - stash

Thank you so much for stopping by today and spending a little of your time with me. I hope you'll come play along with us.  You have till 12:00 pm CST on 23 April 2019, to link your card to our challenge.

Isn't it a wonderful list of sponsors? I have four cards to share with you.

My first card uses Beer Background Papers and Beer Mug from Dr. Digi.

The card base is from a pack of 50 of  6.5" x 5" from Recollections.  The white and black cardstocks are also from Recollections.  Inside stamp is called Good Times and it's by Cardz TV.

My second card is made with the Winnie Winterland Polar Friends image from Polkadoodles

I started off with a 5.5" x 5.5" card base from Recollections and turned it into a twisted easel card.
Then I designed the snowflakes around the edge of a piece of navy blue linen cardstock.
I used snowwhite and silver embroidery floss but was a little disappointed with the results as I feel there isn't enough contrast between the two.

I coloured the image using copic markers and then stamped tiny snowflakes to represent snow falling.
This is what the card looks like when flat and ready to mail.

On the inside, I also continued with the tiny snowflakes and stamped the sentiment using a stamp from Christmas Sayings by  Creative Expressions. I punched out a snowflake, using MS punch, several times and stacked them to give me an adequate stopper for the easel part of the card.

For my third card, I used Easter Chicky image from Sparkle 'n Sprinkle.
As you know by now, I enjoy using pre-coloured images and this was one of them.
Isn't this the cutest little chick?

The base of the card is Silhouette design number 75800.
I used the pre-coloured chicky image and added the greeting to the half of the cracked egg.

I cut out the pre-coloured swag of flowers and adhered it to the base of the egg.
I went over them with Wink of Stella clear pen and added a gem to centre of each flower for a little something extra.

I enlarged the half cracked egg and cut it out. Then I stamped my Easter sentiment on it.
This stamp is from the Cardz TV Easter Punnies stamp set.  I also cut a bunch of the flowers to fill up the black space on my card.

And last, but not least, here is my fourth card made with the very cute Rory Ski Slopes from Lacy Sunshine.

Recipe for this card:
Card base - 6.5" x 5" - Recollections - White
Cross Stitch Semi-Circle Dies - Unbranded Dies
Ice Skate die - Marianne Designs
Snowmen Border die - Cottage Cutz
Trees die - Marianne Designs
Christmas Greeting die - Cheery Lynn Designs
Snowflakes - MS Punch
White & Navy cardstocks - Recollections
Snowflake Paper - my scraps drawer

Well, that is it from me today, but before I go, I would like to share the list of our designers. Should you get lost along the way, you can always come back and see where to go next.

And of course, when there is a bloghop, there is blog candy to be won :-)
I will send a surprise package of crafting goodies to one lucky friend who leaves me some love on this post. I would love for you to become a follower of my blog too, but it is not necessary to be entered in the draw. I will pick a winner next Tuesday, 2 January 2018 and announce it on the very first Crafty Gals Post of 2018 which will be on the 3rd of January.  International entries are welcome and will be entered in the draw but instead of a package of goodies, you will receive a gift certificate to an online store.
