Nutcrackers ~ Set 2

Hello crafting friends. So glad you came by for a visit.
As promised here is the second set of Nutcrackers.
All I did was change the embossing folder and the greeting. This embossing folder is called  Ornaments Hung and it is also by Darice.  The stamped greeting is a stamp from the Festive Greetings stamp set by Creative Expressions.  On the inside, I used another stamp from the same set and adorned the corners with a few Branches from Fairy Hugs stamps.  I added a few drops of glue and sprinkled Current Fairy Hugs glitter to make the sparkly berries.

If you're short on time and have lots of cards to make, these are quick and easy.  I matted each card panel to a piece of coloured layering card stock to match their outfits ... in this set  red, green and burgundy.

Now for the good news ... I received Happy Mail yesterday, and yes, it was a Nutcracker die from CraftEmotions that my sister in law sent to me as a surprise.  Thanks so much Marian! So needless to say, you will be seeing more Nutcracker cards :-)  With some of the quick and easy cards I recently made, my stash of Christmas cards is growing nicely 😀

Till next time,
stay safe and healthy!

Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ "R" is for Rudolph

Hello and welcome to our September challenge at

This month our challenge is to create a project with something beginning with
 the letters  "Q"  or  "R".

On my card, "R" is for Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer  :-)

So a while back I got a card kit from Hunkydory called Santa & Friends.
I've decided to start working through this kit and this is the first card I made.
It has the cutest images and most of them are all foiled - really pretty in my opinion.

After doing the front of the card, I used scraps to bring the theme onto the inside too.
I used a stamp from the Creative Expressions - Christmas Sayings stamp set and added a couple of gold stars. Quick, easy, fun and very Christmas-ee :-)

Well, dear friends, I hope I have inspired you to make a Christmas card and to play along with us. You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Lavinia World #29 ~ Fairy Door

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #29 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

Edger dies are quickly becoming one of my favourites. Love their effect on a card, they're easy to use, and the possibilities are endless.  For my card today, I used the Fair Door Edger die from Creative Expressions.  Doesn't it work beautifully with the Lavina stamps?

It didn't take long at all to put this card together, yet I love the look of it.
I cut the edger die out of black card stock. Remember that African Twilight paper pack I recently used in a couple of other projects? Well, my friends these beautiful papers are from the same pack.
All that was left to do was to stamp the ferns and the vine, sponge a little ink on the sides all the way around it, and that was it.  Oh, yes, I also added a few pearls.

List of crafty ingredients, each linked to Lavinia World Store, for your convenience.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed your visit and will make a project to come play along with us.  Although our theme is always Anything Goes, you do have to use physical stamps, either rubber or clear.

 NO DIGI stamps allowed.

February Challenge at CCAYR ~ Hearts of Love

Hello crafting friends, and welcome to February's challenge at
 Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round!

Our challenge this month is Hearts of Love!

It's February, the month to celebrate your love for the special people in your life - other half, kiddos, family, friends, etc.  So, when I saw this card from Hunkydory's Festive Deco Shimmer booklet, I thought it would make a perfect Christmas card for this challenge.  Don't they look so much in love?

I used the Silhouette to cut out the deco shape and the gold mat.
I then layered more gold mirror card stock and deep purple card stock to create another set of mats on this 5.5" x 5.5" card.  I used a copic marker to colour the little gems and although they photographed light blue in the picture, they are actually the same deep purple as the card stock in real life. Proof that cameras do funny tricks sometimes 😀

I kept the inside pretty simple. I just cut another two deco shaped mats in the deep purple and white card stocks and stamped a greeting from the Festive Greetings stamp set by Creative Expressions.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you  make a Christmas project and come play along with us.  You have till the end of February 2020 to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round!

Till next time,

January Challenge at CCAYR ~ Anything Goes

Happy New Year, crafting friends, and welcome to January's challenge at
 Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round

Our challenge this month is Anything Goes!

As you may know, from following my blog, I have family visiting from overseas during this holiday season.  My sister-in-law brought a few card kits with her, from Holland, and we've been having fun crafting together.

Here is the card I made for this challenge from one of the card kits.

Isn't it pretty and festive?

You can't quite tell from the photo, but the hobby dots design is made on acetate which is then adhered to the red card stock underneath.  It's such a pretty effect, one that I unfortunately was not able to capture on the photo.  This photo, does however, show a bit of the beautiful shinning details.
The Border Round Magic Stars die is from a company called Craft Emotions.
The poinsettia flower is a 3D sticker from Paper Crafts sold by Hobby Lobby.

For the inside, I used the negative die cut of the stars die.
The sentiment is from a stamp set called Festive Greetings by Creative Expressions.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you  make a Christmas project and come play along with us.  You have till the end of January 2020 to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round!

Christmas Birds

Hello crafting friends. I'm on the Dies R Us Inspiration blog today, sharing another Christmas card with you.

As you know by now, I'm a huge fan of Marianne Design dies and when Dies R Us have their Special Order Sales, I tend to buy more than my fair share :-) If you love international dies or are just looking for some to complete the dies you already have, the best way to know about these amazing sales is to subscribe to the Dies R Us Newsletter.

So using one of Marianne's newest dies, Petra's Winter Circle, I cut out all the layers in the different colours that I had planned.

This die is gorgeous and comes with a few embellishment pieces.

After die cutting and embossing them, and while the card stock is still in the dies, I used Memento Desert Sand to add a bit of shading.

Once that was done and I had all my bits and pieces together, it was very easy and quick to assemble the card.

I picked a small greeting stamp and curved it on the stamping block so that it would take the same curve as the greeting space on the banner of the die. I could have stopped right here, but felt that I wanted to add something to the bottom of the card to balance it out.  So I grabbed another few dies, listed below, and made the little poinsettia arrangement.  I added a few gems here and there and adhered the image, which is from a die cutting sheet by Amy Design, called Warm Christmas Feelings.  For the inside, I used the fancy circle from the die to cut out the circle.  The stamped greeting from the Festive Greetings stamp set by Creative Expressions.

Here is a list of the crafty supplies used,
each linked to the Dies R Us store  for your convenience.
