Challenge # 212 ~ Halloween Colours

Our wonderful sponsors for this challenge are ...
(listed in alphabetical order)

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Single Digital Images

Using the lovely  Chibi Cooking Up a Spell from  Stamper’s Delight, I created this spooky card.

Isn't she super cute? In order to create a little scene for her, I used a few dies, and for the background I used a file from the Silhouette store. I also designed the fence to attach to the card. This can also be found on silhouette store. This turned out to be a 5.5" x 5.5" card.

As you can see it was very easy to put together. It probably only took me about 20 to 30 minutes, but I think it came out boo-tifully!
I have just the perfect little "witch" to give it to for Halloween :-)

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you liked my card and feel inspired to get crafty and come play along with us. You have until 12:00 pm, CST,
on 10 November 2020, to link your project to our challenge.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenge:

Stay safe and healthy!

Dies R Us #150 ~ Just Desserts

Hello crafting friends and welcome to a new challenge at Dies R Us.

Challenge # 150 ~ Just Desserts!

I recently purchased, and received as gifts, a few dies that I've been waiting to play with and this was the perfect challenge to create a card using my new dies.

I began by deciding that an easel fold card would be best to showcase all the dies I wanted to use. Next I cut all the mats and layers for the different sections of the card.  I cut the apron, and some of the little bits and pieces that come in this die set, and assembled it. Using mostly scraps that were left from the apron and the layers , I cut and assembled the cupcake. Lastly, I cut the Celebration word out of yellow and dark pink to give it a bit of a shadow.  I also added a little sparkle and shine using the Wink of Stella pen, and by adding glassy accents to the cherry and the word.

It was easy to make and didn't take too long.  I enjoy putting little pieces together to create an item or a scene, so this for me was a lot of fun.  As always, I have listed the supplies I used, each linked to the Dies R Us store, for your convenience.

Remember that Dies R Us have international dies sales.  This is the time when you can buy dies from Marianne Designs, Joy! Crafts, Nellie Snellen, and a few others.  The best way to know about these sales is to subscribe to the Dies R Us newsletter.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope I was able to inspire you to create a project, and  play along with us at the Dies R Us Challenges for your chance to win a gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the 1st and 15th of each month. Dies R Us #149 ~ Christmas in July

Hello crafting friends and welcome to a new challenge at Dies R Us.

Challenge # 149 ~ Christmas in July!

My friends had already told me how addictive these cute little treat bags were to make, but I didn't realise how much until I started making a few of my own :-)
They are easy to put together and the possibilities are endless.
Here are the few I did for Christmas. They are adorable and perfect for a few chocolates, jewellery, or any other small treat.  They are also just the perfect size for a gift card.

Here are the four I made. The first of many, I assure you :-)

A closer look at the two made with Christmas patterned card stock. On the left you have the Candy Cane made with papers from Graphic 45's The Nutcracker.  I used all the hardware that came with the die except the little tag. On the Snowmen purse, I did not use any of the hardware as I wanted to pattern of the paper to show. So I made the closure just behind the holy on the inside.

Here is a look at the back of  these cute purses.
And how about that elegant clutch bag for the Christmas party or/and New Year's party?

For the bag on the left, I used specialty cotton paper and black mirror card stock. For the closure, I used a button with a pearl, but coloured the pearl black with a copic marker.  The one on the right was also made with specialty card stock and gold mirror card stock. I used a gold button with a crystal in the middle as my closure.
All closures on all four purses are done with velcro dots.

And a quick look on at the back of the clutch bags.

Aren't they cute? I plan on making more and placing little treats in them. They're perfect for those special people in my life. I can see one of these with, a little bracelet, as a stocking stuffer for my little granddaughter.

And best of all, all you need is one die, the Concord & 9th - Everyday Purse! Add pretty papers and a little relaxing time and voila,  you have yourself some precious little gift bags.
The purses measure approx. 5 1/4" x 4 1/4" (13.7 cm x 10.7 cm) when put together.
The clutch bags are about 2 7/8" x 4 1/4" (7.3 cm x 10.7 cm)

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope I was able to inspire you to create a project, and  play along with us at the Dies R Us Challenges for your chance to win a gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the 1st and 15th of each month.  Be sure to follow on Facebook and Pinterest too.

Lavinia World #29 ~ Fairy Door

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #29 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

Edger dies are quickly becoming one of my favourites. Love their effect on a card, they're easy to use, and the possibilities are endless.  For my card today, I used the Fair Door Edger die from Creative Expressions.  Doesn't it work beautifully with the Lavina stamps?

It didn't take long at all to put this card together, yet I love the look of it.
I cut the edger die out of black card stock. Remember that African Twilight paper pack I recently used in a couple of other projects? Well, my friends these beautiful papers are from the same pack.
All that was left to do was to stamp the ferns and the vine, sponge a little ink on the sides all the way around it, and that was it.  Oh, yes, I also added a few pearls.

List of crafty ingredients, each linked to Lavinia World Store, for your convenience.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed your visit and will make a project to come play along with us.  Although our theme is always Anything Goes, you do have to use physical stamps, either rubber or clear.

 NO DIGI stamps allowed.

The winner of the challenge will be able to proudly display our Lavinia World winner's badge on their blog, and receive a $15 gift certificate to the Lavinia World store.  Lavinia World offers the complete range of Lavinia stamps and papers.  Although Lavinia Stamps is from the UK, Lavinia World is a US based store that ships worldwide.

2017 Calendars ~ February

Well, it took me a bit longer to share this post with you than I had planned, but when life takes over, you just have to grab a few moments here and there when you can :-)  So here are the pics of the month of February of the calendars I made.  If you missed January's pics you can visit that post here.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I tried to make them individual calendars, but as I was running out of time, a couple of them are very similar.  Again, I used various dies to create all different layouts. I also used my Silhouette and my Cricut for a few of the embellishments. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like any information about these pages.

Wishing you all a wonderful week.

Challenge #1 at Cardz TV - Anything Goes

Hello crafting friends.
Welcome to the first challenge of 2017 at Cardz TV.

As always, our challenge is Anything Goes.
Prize ~ A stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.

I had so much fun putting this card together.
I love creating cards with scenes :-)

I used various dies and svg files to create this scene. I also used the Divine Swirls embossing folder, some charms, and copic markers to add a little shading here and there.

On the inside of the card, I used a greeting from the Cardz TV "Big Holiday Wishes" stamp set. It was the perfect size for my card and I decided to stamp it at an angle to add a little bit of interest :-)

Here is a quick peak at all the greetings you can find in this stamp set.
As you can see, I cut my stamp and stacked the words on top of each other.
This does not ruin your stamps, it just allows you to position the text as you wish. You can always put it back together on your stamping block and stamp it as a continuous greeting.

You can view and/or purchase this and other Cardz TV stamp sets HERE.

Anything Goes at Cardz TV ~ Challenge #3

Hello crafting friends. Hope you're all doing well.

We have our third Anything Goes challenge at Cardz TV.
Prize ~ A stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps

I made for this card for my little granddaughter.  Although she still loves her Minnie Mouse, she is also in love with Sophia the First and will be wearing a beautiful Sophia costume for Halloween.  It looks like our weather is going to cooperate this year as it's supposed to be in the 80's with no rain :-).  For my card, I used the Frankly Frightful stamp set from Cardz TV.

Sorry, crafting friends, but I got so excited making this card and adding die cuts as I went along, that I forgot to write anything down. The dies are a mixture of metal dies and cuts from the Silhouette and from Cricut.  If there is anything in specific you want to know, please email me and I will search for it and let you know.
I do love the way this twisted easel card came out and I'm really hoping that my little granddaughter will love it.

Here is a look at this SPOOKtacular and  fun stamp set.
