Dies R Us #194 ~ Kindergarten Graduation

 Hello and welcome to another challenge, starting today, at Dies R Us.

Challenge #194 ~ Dad's/Masculine

(as long as you use a die that is sold at Dies R Us)

My little grandson graduated from Kindergarten. I made this card for him to celebrate this milestone in his young life :-)

This was one of those "I got to have" stamp and die sets :-) These chimps are just too darn cute and having a 5 year old grandson ... well, I just "had to have it" 😀

I started by stamping a bunch of images, and then coloured them using copic markers.  Next I die cut them all.  I also die cut the card frame and all other bits and pieces I wanted to use to create this "jungle" scene. Once all the die cutting and colouring was done, it was just a matter of playing around to put each little chimp where I wanted it.  As a final touch, I added glassy accents to the trophy as well as to all the bananas.  I'm hoping the little guy will love it 😀

Dies R Us #152 ~ Back to School

 Hello crafting friends and welcome to a new challenge at Dies R Us.

Challenge # 152 ~ Back to School

With the uncertainty of sending children to school amidst this pandemic, my daughter decided to homeschool my little grandchildren.  My little Emma, will be starting 1st grade and my little Derek will start Pre-K3. At the beginning of every school year, I always put a little treat together for the kiddos when returning to school, so this is what I came up with this year.

I used a Silhouette design to make the box. To decorate the belly bands, I used the  School Supplies die set from Cheery Lynn Designs and the Globe set of dies from ScrapMan dies.

Inside each box, I placed 12 pencils for their school work. Normally, we also all go out for ice cream the day before school starts, but this year, we'll have to bring the ice cream home.  The important thing here, is that there will be ice cream 😀

Here is a close up of my granddaughter's box.

I used the glue bottle, ABC, scissors, ruler and pencil from School Supplies die set.

The books and the Fall leaves are from the Globe die set.

 For my grandson's box, I used the glue, pencils, scissors, ABC and ruler from the School Supplies die set and the Fall leaves from the Globe die set.

Another look at Emma's box - her favourite colours are pink and purple, so pink pencils it is.

And another look at Derek's box. He likes blue and green, so this was perfect.

I got lucky that I found a large box of pencils at the school supply section at Walmart that had all these as well as a few purple ones. The purple ones, Emma can use when she comes to visit grandma. The little guy has his own little set that has cars on it.  Grandma has to get this right! 😀

Cardz TV Challenge ~ Fun Fold

I made this Joy Fold card for my little nephew to wish him a happy and successful year at school. 

The crayon part of the card is actually a card from the Silhouette Store - design # 31607, but I folded it inside out and used it to make my joy fold card :-)  For the sentiments I used the "Just Saying" and "Let's Face It" stamp sets from Cardz TV.  You can purchase them from Mary's online store.  Here are pics showing you all the different phrases and faces that come in these awesome stamp sets.

Super Scraps Saturday at HIMCR

Hello bloggie friends and welcome back to another challenge at Hiding in My Craft Room.

Here is my card for this week showing you how I used my scraps!

 All card stock used is from my scraps drawer with the exception of the card base.  I used this cute image called "Nerdy Pencils" from 2 Cute Ink and coloured it using copic markers. The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug, called Script.  The stamped greeting is from JustRite Stamps. I thought this was perfect to give to my daughter her hubby as they are both heading back to college for the Fall semester.

It's Back to School at Wags 'n Whiskers

I used this super cute Wags 'n Whiskers image called  "Let's Go Team" to make my card for this challenge. To purchase this stamp and look at all the other adorable stamps for sale, please visit their STORE. 

My son goes to the University of Houston so I made this card for him.  You guys had to see his face though when I gave him the card with the cheerleader on it. The look of total confusion was priceless ... until he opened the card and read the sentiment :-)

Their mascot is a cougar called Shasta.  I print and cut a couple of  the "coogs" logo to incorporate into my card. The cardstocks are all from Paper Studio. I used the Swiss Dots and Music Notes embossing folders.  Ribbon and card candy are from my stash. Copic markers were used to colour the image.

Back to School Card

Hello, my crafting friends, I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  If not, hang in there, it's almost the week end again :-)

 

I have a back to school card to share with you today, that I made for my daughter and her husband.  I gave it to them when school started at the end of August, but forgot to share it.

 

 

I got the inspiration to make a S-fold card from Mary from CardzTV. The apple, backpack and laptop were all cut with the cricut. The papers are from an All-Seasons paper stack.  They are both at college, my daughter is doing her classes online this semester in order to stay home with her baby girl. He is going to classes at the campus.  This is why I have the backpack and the laptop :-)

 

 

I left the inside blank so that I could write my own personal message.  It was a quick and simple card to make, but I think it came out very cute.  What do you all think?

HIMCR Challenge #161 ~ Ribbon!

Happy Saturday all.  We have a fun challenge for you today, at Hiding in My Craft Room, and that is to use Ribbon!  Yes, it's that fun and it's that easy!

 

Our sponsor for today's challenge is The Scrapbook Stamp Society.  They are also sponsoring the prize this week which is 4 pre-selected images.

 

 

 

For my card, I used their very cute Sailor Boy image.  I fell in love with this little sailor the minute I saw him, so I was very happy that I was able to choose this image to work with.  If you want to see more cute images like this, just stop by the Scrapbook Stamp Society web store.  You won't be disappointed :-)

The solid colour cardstocks are from Co'ordinations, the striped one is from Colorbok. Ribbons are from my stash and the buttons were purchased at Jo-Ann. I coloured the image using copic markers.

 

 

For the inside I used the same papers and added an anchor from the SU! Open Sea stamp set.  The sentiment was written by yours truly :-)  I have a very special young man in mind to whom I'm going to give this to :-)

HIMCR Blogiversary # 3 ~ Back to School

 

Our 3rd challenge at HIMCR Blogiversary is for you to create a "Back to School" project.

I made this card for my little nephew.  I didn't want to add too many layers because it is being mailed overseas.  The books are from the Hello Kitty Cricut Cartridge.  I fussy cut the apple from Digi Digi Doodle and placed it on top of the books. The paper is from an "All Seasons" pack from the Paper Studio.

 

For the inside, I also used a Digi Digi Doodle stamp.  I thought that the black board image was the perfect sentiment for this card.
