Using the Snow Globe No. 1 digi, from Mirtillamente Craft Shop, I created this card or our challenge.

The card base was cut using a die set from Studio Light Essentials called Circle Zigzag Card Shape. Red cardstock is from Recollections, gold cardstock and patterned paper are both from my scraps drawers and unfortunately I have no info on them.

For the embellishment I used
 Twigs - Marianne Design
Holly Leaves & Pine Branches - Lea'bilities

I used copic markers to colour the images and added a few accents with gel pens.

Full opened card measures 8" x 5.5".

I added a gold and white mat to the back so that I had a place to stamp my greeting and write a small personal message.   I used the Tiny Tidings stamp set from Cardz TV to stamp the greeting.

When closed, the card measures 5.5" x 3" and fits perfectly into an A2 envelope.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I would love to you see you play along with us.  You have until noon, CST, on 10 December 2024, to link your project to our challenge.

CCAYR ~ February Christmas Challenge

Hello crafting friends and welcome to this month's
Christmas Challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

February Christmas Cake Inspiration Pic & Challenge Theme is
Cabin or Cottage with something Pink

For my DT project, I stitched this card and used a cottage layered image from Hearty Crafts.

The stitch pattern is from the Stitch & Do Kit #116.  I just changed the colours to go with the challenge theme and the colours of the cottage.  The small poinsettia is from Poppy Stamps. The holly leaves and pine branches are from Lea'bilities.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Sayings stamp set by Creative Expressions.
Although it came out a very different colour in the photo above, I used the Currant shade of  Adirondack inks, which is more like the dark shade of the mat of the cardstock and the stitching thread.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Crafty hugs,

Dies R Us #172 ~ Father's Day Card

Hello everyone, and welcome to our latest challenge at Dies R Us.

Challenge #172 ~ Anything Goes!
(As long as you use a die sold at the Dies R Us store)

Although Christmas in July is in full swing, I would like to share the card I made for my hubby for Father's Day.

As you know, Dies R Us has Special Order sales events. During these times you can purchase a variety of International dies from companies such as Marianne Designs, Lea'bilities, Joy! Crafts, and a few others.  I normally buy more than my fair share and used a couple to make this card for hubby.

After picking a few papers from Pion Design, My Beloved Son collection, I die cut the mats I wanted and adhered them to the card. Next I cut out all the pieces for the watch and put it together. The shoes and the hat cut out as a single piece.  If you leave the die cut in the die, you can then use any ink you want to sponge in the details. I cut out the Celebrate word 3 times and stacked them to give it a little bit of dimension. The champagne bottle was an image from Google that I uploaded to the Silhouette, traced it and cut it out.

I have listed the dies I used and linked them to the Dies R Us store for your convenience.  You may not find some of these dies in stock right now, because like I said above, most of these are only available during the Special Order sales events.  But you can add to your wish list. The best way to know about these Special Order sales is to subscribe to the Dies R Us newsletter.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you to create a project, and  play along with us at the Dies R Us Challenges for your chance to win a gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the 1st and 15th of each month. Visit our challenge blog, where my team mates showcase their creations to give you a little more inspiration.  Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Pinterest too.

Before I go, let me mention that Didi Crafts is our sister with warehouses in the US and Canada. This means that our Canadian friends no longer have to worry about huge taxes or expensive shipping fees.  It has some products that are the same as Dies R Us, but in addition, it carries international dies,  and other crafty supplies for a variety of crafts.  Go take a peek and be pleasantly surprised!

Till next time,
crafty hugs!

Christmas Birds

Hello crafting friends. I'm on the Dies R Us Inspiration blog today, sharing another Christmas card with you.

As you know by now, I'm a huge fan of Marianne Design dies and when Dies R Us have their Special Order Sales, I tend to buy more than my fair share :-) If you love international dies or are just looking for some to complete the dies you already have, the best way to know about these amazing sales is to subscribe to the Dies R Us Newsletter.

So using one of Marianne's newest dies, Petra's Winter Circle, I cut out all the layers in the different colours that I had planned.

This die is gorgeous and comes with a few embellishment pieces.

After die cutting and embossing them, and while the card stock is still in the dies, I used Memento Desert Sand to add a bit of shading.

Once that was done and I had all my bits and pieces together, it was very easy and quick to assemble the card.

I picked a small greeting stamp and curved it on the stamping block so that it would take the same curve as the greeting space on the banner of the die. I could have stopped right here, but felt that I wanted to add something to the bottom of the card to balance it out.  So I grabbed another few dies, listed below, and made the little poinsettia arrangement.  I added a few gems here and there and adhered the image, which is from a die cutting sheet by Amy Design, called Warm Christmas Feelings.  For the inside, I used the fancy circle from the die to cut out the circle.  The stamped greeting from the Festive Greetings stamp set by Creative Expressions.

Here is a list of the crafty supplies used,
each linked to the Dies R Us store  for your convenience.

Ballerina Birthday

Happy Monday crafting friends. I hope it's the start to an awesome week for you!
Did you catch the sales that Dies R Us recently had on international dies?  I hope so, because I have a sweet card to share with you today using several of them.

If you didn't catch this last sale, don't worry too much, I'll tell you how to get them next time.  Dies R Us runs a big sale on international dies every now and then. During these times, you will find dies from companies such as Marianne Designs, Lea'bilities, Nellie Snellen, and Joy Crafts among others. The best way to know about these fabulous sales is to subscribe to the Dies R Us Newsletter.  When you go to the store's home page,  scroll down to the bottom.  There you will find a box where you can enter your email address and be put on their mailing list.  You really won't want to miss these sales :-)

So now let me show you how this card came together:

I started by die cutting and embossing the card frame, Petra's Amazing Circle, and the ballerina, Balet Dancer from Lea'bilities.  While the cuts were still in their dies, I sponged the embossed areas with Memento Angel Pink ink.

Next, I used copic markers to colour the ballerina, and using tulle and pearls made and decorated her tutu.

Lastly, I die cut and embossed the tulip bouquet. I made the flowers a shade darker by using a copic marker.  All that was left to do was to adhered all the layers, bits and pieces together to create the card.  Since there were so many delicate pieces, I used a Fineline Applicator bottle to apply my glue.I did emboss the center circle with a Swiss Dot embossing folder to add a little texture behind the ballerina.

I'm going to give this card to my little granddaughter, who turns 5 in a couple of weeks.  She loves her "dance classes"!  She does ballet and tap and is the cutest little dancer ever! Yes, this is Grandma Lena, so I am allowed to think so :-)

Here is a quick recap of the materials I used.  You won't find the international dies in the store right now, but you can put them on your wish list and as soon as you get the notification of the Special Order Sales, you can place your order. They are very good quality dies, cut beautifully and are very reasonably priced with the specials that Dies R Us offers.

And of course, if you don't want to wait for these special offers, you can simply enter the items you're looking for in the "search" bar in the store's website and you'll find lots of different options.

That is it from me for today, crafting friends. I hope you enjoyed your visit and that I was able to inspire you to use your dies, create a project, and come play along with us at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for your chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the 1st and 15th of every month.  Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Pinterest too.
