CCAYR ~ February Christmas Challenge

Hello crafting friends and welcome to this month's
Christmas Challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

February Christmas Cake Inspiration Pic & Challenge Theme is
Cabin or Cottage with something Pink

For my DT project, I stitched this card and used a cottage layered image from Hearty Crafts.

The stitch pattern is from the Stitch & Do Kit #116.  I just changed the colours to go with the challenge theme and the colours of the cottage.  The small poinsettia is from Poppy Stamps. The holly leaves and pine branches are from Lea'bilities.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Sayings stamp set by Creative Expressions.
Although it came out a very different colour in the photo above, I used the Currant shade of  Adirondack inks, which is more like the dark shade of the mat of the cardstock and the stitching thread.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Crafty hugs,

  1. Aww that's a very pretty card. Love the decoupaged cottage and, of course, your fantastic stitching. Since Christmas I have actually been doing a bit of embroidery. I have very good intentions to complete unfinished projects this year...not sure how that will go though!! xx
