CCAYR ~ December's Christmas Challenge

And just like that, Christmas is around the corner and another year is almost over! 😀
Hello crafting friends and welcome to this month's
challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Challenge ~ Waiting for Santa
This is our Christmas cake inspiration pic for December.

When I saw this cute image, I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. Rudolph and his polar bear friend made gingerbread cookies and are busy decorating the tree while waiting for Santa.  This card is part of the Stitch & Do kit number 116.  I added a few snowflakes to fill in the corners of this 5.5" x 5.5" card.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment which is from Great Impressions Stamps, and added a few more snowflakes.

That's all for today crafting friends.  Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing a little of  your time with me.   Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project that falls within our challenge theme, and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at  Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

CCARY ~ November's Christmas Challenge

Hello crafting friends and welcome to this month's challenge
at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

November's Challenge ~ Pink & Green Colour Combo
This is November's Christmas cake inspiration pic.

For this month's DT project, I made a cute shaker ornament for my little granddaughter, Emma.

I  used the Snow Globe dies from Hunkydory, to cut out the snow globe several times in order to turn it into a shaker ornament, and then I used several other dies to cut out all the elements inside the snow globe. I added a sequins mix from Kat Scrappiness as my shaker fillers.

Products used to make this card:

Hunkydory - Snow Globe
Marianne Designs - Presents Bag
Elizabeth Craft Designs - Holiday Elf ~ Hers
Kat Scrappiness - Iridescent and White Snowflake Sprinkles, Sparkling Clear Drops

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project that falls within our challenge theme, and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at  Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

CCAYR ~ July's Christmas Challenge

Hello crafting friends and welcome to this month's
challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Challenge ~ Snowflakes
This is July's Christmas cake inspiration pic.

While browsing thru winter designs in the Silhouette store, I came upon this card that I thought would work well for this challenge.  It came out a little smaller than I would like, but it's still very pretty. When folded flat, it fits into a regular A7 envelope, so easy to put in the mail using regular postage.

The Silhouette file is called Snowflake Bendi Card.  It's reference number is 155194, and it was designed by Suzanne Cannon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project that falls within our challenge theme, and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at  Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ "R" is for Rudolph

Hello and welcome to our September challenge at

This month our challenge is to create a project with something beginning with
 the letters  "Q"  or  "R".

On my card, "R" is for Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer  :-)

So a while back I got a card kit from Hunkydory called Santa & Friends.
I've decided to start working through this kit and this is the first card I made.
It has the cutest images and most of them are all foiled - really pretty in my opinion.

After doing the front of the card, I used scraps to bring the theme onto the inside too.
I used a stamp from the Creative Expressions - Christmas Sayings stamp set and added a couple of gold stars. Quick, easy, fun and very Christmas-ee :-)

Well, dear friends, I hope I have inspired you to make a Christmas card and to play along with us. You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round - " F " is for Figgy Pudding

Welcome to our March challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

This month our challenge is to create a project with something beginning with
 the letters E or F.

For my DT project, I used the letter "F" for Figgy Pudding.

Looks pretty delish, doesn't it?

This is  not a good pic, but it shows all the sparkle and shine beautifully.

Love this sentiment.  If features in a lot of my Christmas cards, together with this Holly penny stamp.

As I was making this card, I realised that I have never had Figgy Pudding and that I wasn't even quite sure what it was.  I know the Christmas carol, but not much about the actual pudding.  So I decided to visit my friend Google and investigate a little.  All I can say is that back in the day, many centuries ago, I would not have touched it, but after looking at a few modern day recipes, it sounds very yummy.  The one recipe I found has figs, dates and dark chocolate as it's 3 main ingredients. What's not to like, right? :-) I don't think I'm going to wait for Christmas to come around before trying this :-)
I love figs! We have a fig tree in our back yard that gives us the most juiciest, sweetest, large figs I've ever seen, the purpley kind (Black Mission Figs).  Well at least it did until  this ice storm, Uri, hit us last week.  Spring will tell, I guess, because right now this fig tree is looking very sorry for itself, as is the rest of everything in our garden.  Anyway, during the month of July, I pig out on figs.  They are so delicious when freshly picked from the tree.  I even love them with ice cream :-)  We get such an abundance of figs that we make approximately 10 jars of jam every year.  Now bear in mind that this is just a small tree.  And this is even after fighting with the birds and the squirrels that seem to find our tree irresistible too!

Okay, so now that I feel like some figs, and there are none to be had, let me tell you what I used to make this card, instead.

Yvonne Creations - Holly Jolly Card Set
Elizabeth Craft Designs - Christmas Pudding
Holographic card stock -
Cuttlebug - Swiss Dot embossing folder
 Stampabilities - Holly stamp

CCAYR - October's Challenge ~ No Tricks, Only Treats!

Hello crafting friends, and welcome to October's challenge at
 Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round

Our challenge this month is No Tricks, Only Treats!

Sounds like this challenge was made just for me 😀
 A sweet Christmas, yum!

Crafty Ingredients:
Card design ~ Stitch & Do Kit #
Greeting stamp ~ Cardz TV - Gingerbread Christmas
Doily ~ Recollections

All the gingerbread cookies are more of the real gingerbread colour and not as bright as it looks on the pic.   I thought it would be a good idea to print it all on photo paper, and although it looks very pretty, it was very difficult to photograph.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round

It's a Christmas CAS at CCAYA for our December Challenge

Hello and welcome back crafting friends.   Did you know that there are only  24 days left till Christmas?   It's coming to that time of the year when all your Christmas cards should  be ready to mail, but just in case you're more like me, here is the perfect challenge for you.  Clean and Simple also means quick and easy :-)

So, finish up those cards with some CAS sketches and  join us in this month's challenge at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round.

I always have the darnest time making a CAS card though.  And that is because I can't leave it well enough alone.  It always seems to need a little something extra, so this is my version of a CAS card.  It was definitely quick and easy :-) I grabbed some papers from my scrap drawers, used some dies, did a little stamping and voila, one CAS card :-)

Now it's your turn.  Can't wait to see all your festive CAS creations.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed your visit today and will play along with us.  Take a few minutes and visit Christmas Cards All Year 'Round Blog to see all the wonderful projects my DT sisters have made for your inspiration.

So, why not join us this month on our brand new challenge at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round?  Our challenge this month is O' Christmas Tree!  All you have to do to play along with us is to make a Christmas card with a Christmas tree as your focal point :-)

For my card, I chose a stamp called Elves Decorating Tree from Sweet Pea Stamps. White and red cardstock are from GinaK. DP's are from The Paper Studio.  Pine tree dies are from Cottage Cutz. The stamped sentiments are from CardzTV's Very Merry stamp set (front of card) and from Great Impression Stamps (R5645) for the inside of the card.

"No Stamping" allowed at CCAYR for our October challenge :-)

Hello and welcome back crafting friends.  I can't believe September is already gone and October is here!  Just two more months and it's time to start mailing out all those Christmas cards to family and friends!

With that in mind and this being the this first day of October, we have a new challenge for you at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round.  Our challenge this month is No Stamping!  Time to get out those dies, y'all :-)

And that is exactly what I did.  I had so much fun playing with my dies, that I ended up making 3 cards for this challenge.  Please email me at lenfon@msn.com if you want any information on any of these cards.  To list all the supplies used, would make this post very long.
