Since Christmas is just around the corner, I made a couple of projects for this challenge.  Starting with my first one, I used Snoozing Santa from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and created this card.

I used a Google image for the background and a Silhouette image for the Christmas Tree.  The coat rack was created using the Santa's Coat & Rack die from Cottage Cutz.

On the inside, I created the sentiment using the Merry Christmas w/Shadow die, also from Cottage Cutz.

And for my second project, using the pre-coloured Christmas Poinsettia Lantern digi from Fred She Said, I created these tags.

I used the Silhouette to print and cut the images and to create the extra layer of poinsettias that I pop dotted for a little dimension.

I created the back of the tags on the Silhouette and used it to print and cut them.

That is it for today.  I'd like to remind you that Crafty Gals Corner will be taking our Winter Break during December, so we get to spend more time with our families to celebrate the Holidays.  We will be back in January with fresh inspiration for you.

We would love to see you play along with us.  You have until noon, CST, on 11 January 2026, to link your project to our challenge. Remember that although we're on a break, prize winners will still be picked and will be announced in January.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and may the New Year bring you all that makes you smile!!!

With hubby's birthday coming up in June, I used the pre-coloured Hole in One Hal Hole in One Hal Backing Paper from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and made this fancy fold card for him.

I cut and used the background in three separate sections.  I used the golf course background for the center piece of this center fold card.  Then I used the golf balls to make the two side pieces.

I print and cut Hal 5 times and adhered each layer to each other to create a little dimension.

I adhered a golf cart to the right side of the card and ...

and golf ball on a tee to the left.  I also cut a piece of grass to go right across the front of the card.

Remember I mentioned above that I had cut the background into 3 pieces?  Well here is the 3rd piece.  I love these digis! All elements go well with each other and makes it very easy to put it all together.
When folded for mailing this card measures 7" x 5" and fits perfectly into an A7 envelope.

And that is all for today folks.  Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your visit.  I would love to you see you play along with us.  You have until noon, CST, on 8 July 2025, to link your project to our challenge.

Using Simply Santa (Colour) from Dr Digi's House of Stamps, I created this tiered card, as well as a bunch of tags (see below).

Card base is a .cut file from Silhouette.  I changed it slightly in order to add my Santa to the front. I print and cut the Santa once onto photo paper and twice more on 110lb cardstock to make it sturdy.

I love the simple design of this tiered card.

I think the white snowflakes on the white card are beautiful and add a little texture.

I created an extra mat on the back to add a sentiment and to give me a place to write my personal message. The sentiment stamp is from the Very Merry stamp set from CardzTV.

This card is on the larger side, but folds flat for mailing and fits into an A9 envelope.

Using the same coloured Santa digi, I created this tag using a file from Silhouette.

I created a backing for each tag on the Silhouette and used the print and cut feature to cut them all out.  Once I had adhered all the layers together, I threaded each tag with small piece of red and white twine.

I created 24 of these tags. This added nicely to my tag stash so hopefully this Christmas, I will not run short of tags :-)

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I would love to you see you play along with us.  You have until noon, CST, on 9 July 2024, to link your project to our challenge.

I needed a couple of cards for different occasions and so loved the images from our sponsors this month that I have a project from each to share with you.

My first project was made using the Pint (Colour) & Beer Backing Papers from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, to create this masculine birthday card.

I used a Silhouette design to cut out the base of my card and to generate the sentiments.  This is a 6.5 x 5" card and fits perfectly into a A7 envelope. The large beer mug was printed on photo paper.  This gives you a crisp image and the littled added shine from the photo paper adds to make it look more real :-)  On the other hand though, I could not use anything to make the foam more realistic because it would not stick to the photo paper and one of the pastes actually ate away at it.  It was not pretty, I assure you.  Lesson learnt!

Now for my other project:

Using the  Leprechaun Hat with Shamrocks from Pattie's Creations, I created
this St. Patrick's Day card.

The stitched shamrock pattern was found on Pinterest, and resized to fit the corners of my card.  I used variegated DMC floss to stitch the shamrocks and the border.  I was going to cross stitch the entire border, but found that I actually like it better this way.  I print and cut the image a few times so that I could add an additional layer to create a little dimension, and to have a layer of the shamrocks to place on the inside.  When it was all done, I felt that it was just too green and white so I added the cute lil ladybirds. The sentiment is a stamp from the Happy Days stamp set by Cardz TV.  This is a 5.5" x 5.5" card and fits perfectly into a 5.75" square envelope.

And that is it for this month's challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.  Thanks so much for stopping by.   I would love to you see you play along with us.  You have until noon, CST, on 9 April 2024, to link your project to our challenge.

It's a CAS challenge at Crafty Gals Corner

Hello crafting friends. Please join us in a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner hosted by the Crafty Gals.

Challenge # 184 ~ Clean & Simple!

Our wonderful and very generous sponsors for this challenge are:

OddBall Art
Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ $6 Gift Certificate

So it's official! Clean and Simple are the hardest cards for me to make. I feel like a bit of a doofus, but it it what it is - I cannot make CAS cards! I try really hard, but it just doesn't happen for me, mostly, I believe, because I just can't leave it well enough alone with just the image and a sentiment.  It just doesn't look CAS to me, it looks unfinished.  Funny thing is, I admire all the beautiful CAS cards that make the rounds in bloggieland, but when it's my own ... I just can't do it!  So with a lot of difficulty, here is my "borderline" CAS card made with the Sundae image from Dr. Digi's Stamps :-)

Crafting Ingredients:
Image - Sundae - Dr Digi's
Card base - Recollections 5.5" x 5.5" - white
Brown cardstock - GinaK.
Sundae Paper - Not too sure, I've had these digital papers for a long time
Birthday Stamp - Great Impression Stamps
Copic markers used for colouring image
Pink enamel dots - The Paper Studio
Glassy accents for the cherry
Wink of Stella pen to add shine to the Sundae "glass"

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you to come play along with us.
You have till 12:00 pm CST on 12 February 2019 to link your card to our challenge.

Till next time,
Happy Crafting!
