New Release at Kat Scrappiness!

Hello crafting friends.  The new Farm House release from Kat Scrappiness is now available at the store.

Here is a project I made with the Qbert Quilt die and the Layered Poinsettia.

This A2 Qbert Quilt die is part of the new Kat Scrappiness release.  It cuts and embosses beautifully.

Here is a close up of the beautiful embossing/debossing and the stitched border that this background plate creates. So many possibilities for this background die 😀

I thought I would show you a close up of this gorgeous Layered Poinsettia too, also a Kat Scrappiness die.

You can visit  Kat Scrappiness for all the new crafting goodness as well as many other gorgeous dies, stamps, beautiful sprinkles for every occasion, beautiful papers, and many other crafty supplies.

Fairy Stamper ~ Sneak Peek ~ Love Shack

Hello friends and welcome back to another sneak peek of our new release coming out tomorrow.

Fairy Hugs will be launching 33 new stamps and 7 stencils on The Craft Store show.  Julia Watts will be demonstrating these new stamps and stencils starting tomorrow, 10 January and will continue on the 11th.  Here is the link to the times these shows will air ~ https://thecraftstore.com/tv-schedule

My card today shows you the Fairy Hugs Love Shack which I have used in a non Valentine way.  In fact I have used it as a Houston Spring day with a surprise Freeze that happens every now and then kinda way!  It's so bad that even the ducks don't know whether to come or go :-)

I began by using a pre made background and arranging all my pieces to see where masks were needed.  Next I started stamping the different images, using a variety of inks, depending on which items needed to be coloured in.  When all the stamping and colouring was done, I added a few finishing touches with a red glaze pen and added the snow using my trusty white Signo pen.

I have a list of supplies for you but remember that some of the items will only be available tomorrow at the Fairy Stamper store during our release.

Fairy Hugs Stamps
Love Shack, Fence, Horse & Foul, Stone Walkway, Flying Birds
Memento Inks
Rich Cocoa, London Fog, Bamboo Leaves
VersaFine Clair Inks
Shady Lane, Pincecone
Brilliance Archival Inks
Coffee Bean

Like I mentioned on Friday, this release is definitely one of my favourites :-)  I hope you have a few minutes to watch the launch tomorrow on The Craft Show.  To see more sneak peeks until then, come join us on our Facebook group page where the DT will be showcasing their projects using products from the Fairy Hugs' new release.

Also, remember that our challenges go live on the first Thursday of each month on our Facebook group.   All you have to do is to create a "Magical" project and upload the pic to our challenge album.  There is a $15.00 prize for one lucky crafter!

Fairy Stamper ~ Sneak Peek ~ Valentina

Hello friends. Today, for my Fairy Stamper Friday share, I have a sneak peek of our new release coming out on Monday.

You're going to love it, it's perfect to make all your Valentine cards.

I'd like to introduce you to Valentina. Isn't she pretty? She is patiently waiting for her Fairy Prince and hoping that he arrives in time for their Valentine celebration.

I began by using a Fairy Hugs piece of Purple Fairy paper and stamped the Foliage Swirl in VersaFine's Rain Forest Green ink. Next, I stamped the Valentina fairy in VersaFine Nocturne ink. Using different green colour pencils, I added colour to the leaves.  For Valentina's dress and the little hearts I used a red glaze pen.  To add a little sparkle to Valentina's wings, I used Fairy Hugs Currant glitter.

If you're wondering about the inside of the card, I have not finished it yet, but I'm going to tell you what I'm going to do.  I'm going to take  a piece of 5.25" x 5.25" cardstock and adhere strips of 1/4" double sided tape to each edge.  Then I'm going sprinkle it with the Fairy Hugs Currant glitter, just as I did on the front.  I'm going to take another piece of the Purple Fairy paper and adhere that to the glittered paper, and stamp my sentiment right in the middle of the oval.  The reason I haven't finished the inside, is because I ran out of the Purple Fairy paper.  I need to get another lot next time I place an order.  As for the sentiment, I'm not sure yet but Fairy Hugs has a fun selection of sentiments just perfect for a variety of occasions, so I'm sure I'll find one.   These, of course, are all available at the Fairy Stamper store.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.   Remember that Valentina and the Foliage Swirl are part of our new release and will be available on Monday at the Fairy Stamper store.  Join our Facebook group and see lots more "Sneak Peeks" that the DT has made for you.  This has to be one of my favourite Fairy Hugs Stamps releases! But then I say that about every new release 😁😁😁

Also, remember that our challenges go live on the first Thursday of each month on our Facebook group.   All you have to do is to create a "Magical" project and upload the pic to our challenge album.  There is a $15.00 prize for one lucky crafter!

Fairy Stamper - Trixie, Dixie and Pixie

Hello crafting friends, and welcome to my Friday share.

I have 3 cute little sisters to introduce to you today.
They are Trixie, Dixie and Pixie.
Look at all the splish splashing fun 😀

To create this scene, I tore a piece of paper in half, and using it as a mask, I inked in the grassy area.  I used the Splashing Puddles die to create a stencil and inked in the water. Once the background was complete, I stamped the fairies, the greenery and the little rocks.  As a finishing touch, I added glitter to the fairies' wings.
On the inside, I used the same stencil to ink in a bit of water and stamped the fairy sentiment.

Here is the list of crafty supplies, each linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Fairy Hugs stamps ~ Trixie, Dixie, Pixie, Wild Leaves, Fairy Life
Nellie's Choice stamps ~ Bulrushes
Amy Design stamps ~ Friendly Frogs
Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, Mowed Lawn
Shady Lane, Rain Forest
Raven Black

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope I have inspired you to create a project and come join the fun. Our challenges go live every other Thursday on our Facebook group.   All you have to do is to create a project and upload the pic to our challenge album.  There is a $15.00 prize for one lucky participant.

Fairy Stamper ~ Marina

Hello crafting friends. It's Friday! Yayyy!
Well being Friday also means that I get to share a project for Fairy Stamper.

Meet Marina, the sweet mermaid.  Isn't she lovely? She is part of the new May release of Fairy Hugs stamps. You can see all the new stamps at the Fairy Stamper store. Once you're on the home page, click on "New Arrivals" and you will see the entire collection.

I needed a bit of card space to build my scene, so I decided to turn it into a Z-fold card. It worked perfectly for the scene I wanted.

I began by printing the ocean background, using a pattern paper file from the Silhouette store. Next I planned where I wanted all my elements by using the acetate images, and then started building it just as I had envisioned it.
I used various stamps from the new release and a couple from older releases. I also used a variety of inks to stamp my images. I will add a list of all the crafting supplies I used, further down on this post.

For her tail, I wanted to try something different from glitter, so I used my Sakura Glaze pens. The effect is beautiful. From the above pic, you can see how beautifully shiny it is, but it also has dimension as can be seen on the pic below.

After stamping all the images, it was time to add a little pizazz. So I added a string of pearls to ... umm ... don't really know what to call it to be honest with you 😀, maybe her waist, midsection?
I also added a few highlights to the seahorse using an orange glaze pen.
Gems were then added to the treasure chest.

On the back, I made a mat so that I can write my message.  I left it blank for now, but I think this will turn into a birthday card.  And that was it, fun to make and not too difficult. Having a printed background helped save time.  I'm always on the lookout for backgrounds that I can use on my cards. Right now, I have an old calendar from 2016 that is ocean themed, and has several pages with beautiful ocean bed scenes.  I'm busy pulling it apart, chopping and cutting and will be using them in future cards. I think it's a great way to recycle old calendars and will save me some time on making cards.  But if you don't have any old calendars, don't despair! There is a wonderful variety of Fairy Hugs scene papers, also available at the Fairy Stamper store. When you use of these premade background papers, your stamping just flows to create the scene you want 😀

As promised, here is the list of supplies I used to make this card, each linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Marina
Treasure Chest
Rock Formation
Ivy Seaweed
Flat Plants
VersaFine Clair inks - Rain Forest,   Charming Pink,   Acorn,   Pinecone,   Twilight
Marianne Design - Punch Die Fish

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you will create a project and come join the fun. Our challenges go live every other Thursday on our Facebook group.   All you have to do is to create a project and upload the pic to our challenge album.  There is a $15.00 prize for one lucky participant.
