Fairy Stamper ~ Spinner and Friend

Hello crafting friends, and welcome to my Fairy Stamper Friday share.

I have a fun summer card to share with you today.
This is Spinner and his friend frolicking at sunset.

To make the background, I cut a stencil using a file from the Silhouette store and I used distress inks to enhance the colours of the background. Next, I stamped Spinner in Fairy Hugs Raven Black ink and then in Memento's London Fog grey ink, masking as I went along. I cut out the same design in green and snipped the green leaves to add a little bit more colour. To create the look of  foam on the splashes I used a little Glitz Glitter gel.  On the inside, I cut out the same design and stamped the greeting.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope I have inspired you to create a project and come join the fun. Our challenges go live every other Thursday on our Facebook group.   All you have to do is to create a project and upload the pic to our challenge album.  There is a $15.00 prize for one lucky participant.

Till next time,
crafty hugs!

Lavinia World #45 ~ The Phoenix at Sunset

Hello everyone and welcome to challenge #45 at Lavinia World, where the theme is always Anything Goes!

When I first saw this Sweet Poppy stencil, designed by Lavinia Stamps, I knew that I had to have it.  Something about it just called to me :-)
So for this challenge, I decided to have a play with it.

I masked the sun and using various inks, all listed below, I created the background.  Once that was nice and dry, I used GinaK black glitz glitter gel  to stencil the Phoenix. It's a beautiful dark black and very sparkly, as can be better seen on the 3rd pic above.

I allowed it to dry for about 10 minutes and then cut all my layers and adhered them together to finish my card.  Then I realized that I wasn't happy with the end result. There was just something missing.  So using another Lavinia Stamps stencil, called Laurel, I added a few leaf shadows.

Here is the list of supplies I used to make this card, each linked to the Lavinia World store, for your convenience.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and for spending some of your time with me. Now, it's your turn to make a project and come play along with us.  Although our theme is always Anything Goes, you do have to use physical stamps, either rubber or clear.

 NO DIGI stamps allowed.

The winner of the challenge will be able to proudly display our Lavinia World winner's badge on their blog, and receive a $15 gift certificate to the Lavinia World store.  Lavinia World offers the complete range of Lavinia stamps and papers.  Although Lavinia Stamps is from the UK, Lavinia World is a US based store that ships worldwide.

Also, please note that we are not part of any other entity or Facebook group that carries Lavinia stamps.  ONLY the cards posted to Lavinia World Challenges will be entered into the drawing for the Lavinia World prize. Also note that the gift certificates are ONLY valid at the Lavinia World store

For more inspiration, visit our Challenge Blog and see all the wonderful and creative projects my teamies made for you.  We'd love for you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram too!

We also have a public Facebook Group called Anything Lavinia, where you can share your projects, interact with the Design Team, get inspired to create your own projects,  and ask any questions you may have about the wonderful Lavinia Stamps.  There are also challenges and prizes to be won!  One winner will be picked by our Designers.
