Valentine Treats

Hello crafting friends.  Now that Valentine is over, I can post a few of the projects I made.
Since none of us could go anywhere, we decided to have a family Valentine dinner.
I made these cute little heart boxes as table decorations.

I made 8 of them using a cutting file from the Dreaming Tree.  They're called Sweetheart Boxes.
Aren't they cute?  I resized the file to fit a Tunook Tea Cake in each one.  In case you are not familiar with these, they are made of soft marshmallow on a biscuit (cookie) base and then coated with dark chocolate.
Yum!!!

I'll be back tomorrow to share the Valentine cards I made for the grandbabies.
Till then,
stay safe and warm.

Anything Christmas Goes Challenge at Crafty Gals Corner

Happy hump day :-) So happy you could stop by.
We have a new challenge starting today at Crafty Gals Corner hosted by the Crafty Gals :-)

Challenge # 180 ~ Anything Christmas Goes

Our very generous sponsors for this challenge are:

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

The Cutting Cafe
Prize ~ 2 Sets

Here are my DT projects for this challenge.

First, I have these two cute little boxes to share with you from The Cutting Cafe.  I used my silhouette to cut these boxes.  Each box measures 2" x 2" x 1.25". As you can see it's the perfect gift box for those small extra special gifts. This cutting file comes with several different patterned box lids.I chose the snowflake and the Christmas tree and embellished them with a few gems from my ever growing stash of bling :-)

For my next project, I used the Snowboarding Snowman from SheepSki Designs and made this cute Christmas card.  To embellished the front, I used the Ice Crystal Frame die from Amy Design's Wintertide collection. The fancy corners are from Spellbinders' Lace Hearts die set. I added a few gems from my stash for an extra special touch.

On the inside of the card I stamp a sentiment by Great Impression Stamps and added a couple of the fancy corners to tie it altogether. Card stocks are both from GinaK. I used copic markers to colour the image.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and will play along with us by linking a project to our challenge #180, Anything Christmas Goes.  Our wonderful sponsors have donated lovely prizes that will be awarded to random winners.  You have until noon, CST on Tuesday, 18 December 2018, to link your project to the  Crafty Gals Corner blog.  While you there, take a few minutes to see what my teammies made for your inspiration.

Till next time,
Happy Crafting!

Disc Ornament Boxes

Hello and welcome back dear friends.

I'm sharing my final project for Simply Crafty SVGs today. It's with a sad heart that I leave this amazing team, but life has a way of interfering with crafting tine and it's doing that to me right now.

This post is picture heavy, so grab a cuppa, take a few minutes and enjoy 😀

I made a few ornaments to send overseas with my mom when she leaves next month. I will share the ornaments with you on another post.  For today, I want to show you the awesome gift boxes I made for the ornaments.

These are the 4" Disc Ornament Boxes and you can find them HERE!
Let me show you one of them in detail.

I used the round window box for all of my boxes. This file comes with the option of having a round window, a square window, or totally windowless. Because mine are going to be stuffed into a suitcase, I added a piece of acetate to the inside of the box to add extra protection, but let me tell you that they look amazing with the open window look too.
My red cardstock is from Bazzill and the patterned paper is from the Graphic 45's St. Nicholas Collection. This particular pattern is called Bells & Bows.

For the top, I made a little Christmas floral embellishment using a poinsettia from my stash and a variety of dies from Marianne Designs and a punch from Martha Stewart.
I could have gone to town decorating these lovely boxes, but since they are going to be bubble wrapped and stuffed into a suitcase, I decided to keep them CAS.
Let me show you this gift box from all sides.

Front and back.

 Right and left sides.

If you go to the Simply Crafty SVGs store, you will also find these boxes in the 3 inch version.

Now let me quickly share the other two boxes I made.

Blue cardstock - Bazzill
DP - The Paper Studio
Merry Christmas die - Yvonne Creations
Skates die - Cottage Cutz

Green cardstock - Bazzill
Gold Mirror cardstock - Marianne Designs
DP - Recollections - Say Freeze Fige
Bells die - Marianne Designs
Added green - MS punch

These boxes are very easy to put together, but if you feel a little lost, Sandy from Simply Crafty SVGs, has wonderful tutorials for each of her files, so help is just a click away :-)

I hope you've enjoyed your visit today.  If you're looking for some beautiful cards, boxes or 3D decor items, please visit Simply Crafty SVGs. There you will find loads of wonderful files available for purchase and a few freebies too :-) While you there, take a few minutes to visit the blog and meet the rest of  the  wonderfully talented design team.  For your convenience, I have listed all the important links below:

Till next time

Favour Boxes

Over at My Craft Spot, this week's challendge is gift bags and boxes. This got me thinking about all the different favour boxes I have done in the last year and how cute some of them turned out to be. The square flat ones were using mostly for weddings, especially Brazilian weddings where it is customary to give away a cookie called "Casadeiro". Aren't they cute? Some of the others were made for birthday parties and some for bridal showers. There's been quite a lot more, but unfortunately I don't always remember to take a pics of them. Go over to My Craft Spot and take a peek at the beautiful boxes they have there for your enjoyment and inspiration here.
