Anything Goes at Crafty Gals Corner

And since Anything Goes, I'm back with a stitched card to showcase Lemon Shortbread's super cute little Penguin with an Umbrella. :-)

Hi everyone, we have a new challenge starting today at Crafty Gals Corner and as I mentioned above, the theme for this new challenge is everyone's favourite  ~ Anything Goes.

Our very generous sponsors for this challenge are:

Prize: 3 Digital Images

Prize: $15 Gift Certificate

Prize: 1 image used by the DT

Prize: $12 Gift Certificate

So now let me show you my card.

Not much to tell you about it other than that I had great fun stitching it.  The other few supplies I used are:I  MS punch for the little snowflake,
copic markers to colour the image,
the stamped sentiment  is from Creative Expressions,
and all the card stock I used is from GinaK.

Not my typical Christmas card at all.  Although green and blue are Christmas colours in my book, they are not in these tropical shades :-)  But in the end, I like the way it came out.  What do you all think? Yes for Christmas or not ? :-)
Either way, I hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog today and feel inspired enough to make a project to link to our challenge #173 ~ Anything Goes.  Remember there are fabulous prizes to be won, generously donated by our fabulous sponsors.
You have until noon, CST, on Tuesday, 11 September 2018, to link your project to the  Crafty Gals Corner blog. And while you there, don't forget to take a few moments and look at what my teamies made for your inspiration.

Till next time,
Happy Crafting!

Challenge #113 at Crafty Gals Corner ~ Polka Dots and/or Stripes

Hello crafting friends. Hope you're all doing well!
Time for another challenge at Crafty Gals Corner!

Challenge #113 ~  Polka Dots and/or Stripes!

Our sponsors for this challenge are:

My Besties
EtsyStore

Prize ~ The following 3 images

Lemon Shortbread
Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

When I saw this image from Lemon Shortbread, I fell in love with it. I always have problems picking an image from our wonderful sponsors. They have so many amazing images, how are you supposed to pick just one? :-) But every so often, an image just calls out to me and in this case this little hedgehog did just that. Now the pressure was on to make a card worthy of him, so I looked through my Silhouette library and found this card fold. I thought it perfect for this little guy.

This image from Lemon Shortbread is called Hedgehog Leaves.
I used copic markers for colouring the image and memento inks for shading the leaves.

The Silhouette design number for this card fold is 179389.
I used Ginak card stocks and DP from a Core'dinations paper stack called Pastels.
The broom is a die cut from Cottage Cutz and the little leaves are from the Leafy Rectangles from Spellbinders.

Here is a close up of the very cute hedgehog.

And a close up of the inside of the card.

A bird's eye view of the card when opened.

And this is how it folds completely flat for mailing. I added a couple of pumpkins cut with a Cottage Cutz die and 3 little candy corn that I had in my stash.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Now it's your turn to make a project using polka dots and/or stripes.  You have till noon, CST, on Tuesday, 14 March 2017, to join in the fun at Crafty Gals Corner.

Till next time,
Happy Crafting!
Hugs,

Sparkle and Shine at Crafty Gals Corner this week.

Hello creative friends!
I hope you are all on your way to having a great weekend.
Due to some computer and internet issues, this post is a few days late, but as the saying goes, it's better late than never :-)  So, onto our new challenge this week ...

Our sponsors this week are ~

Prize: 3 Digital Images

AND

My Besties Shop / Etsy Bestie Store
Prize: 3 digital images as seen below

Although I'm not very fond of glitter, I do love sparklies and bling :-)  I  made my card, for this challenge, using an image from Lemon Shortbread, called Christmas Carol Angel, and some shiny papers from the Paper Temptress.

Recipe:
Card stock ~ Recollections.
DP ~ Paper Temptress & Bo Bunny
Embossing folder ~ Darice - Snowflake Scroll
Sentiment stamp ~ Great Impressions Stamps
Snowflakes ~ MS Punches
Copic markers were used to colour the image
Wink of Stella pen to add more sparkle
Marvy Snow Marker for 3D snowdrifts effect
Gems are from my stash.

You're probably thinking that I'm a little crazy making Christmas cards in June, but I really need to work on my stash throughout the whole year, or it will be a mad rush in November.  With this in mind, stay tuned because I'm going to have a "Christmas in July" celebration on my blog and there will be Christmas blog candy to be won :-)

Alright, bloggie friends, now it's your turn to grab all your sparkly supplies and join in the fun with us.  You have till noon, CST, on Tuesday, 28 June 2016, to link your project to our challenge #77, "Sparkle & Shine", at Crafty Gals Corner.  Can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Till next time,
