It has become tradition in our family to make the second Sunday in December, our Christmas game night.  We play a few different games that involves the whole family.  This year, our family get together will be smaller, but the tradition will continue with those present.

One of the small gifts I made is this concertina fold box. 

Not only is it cute, but it is filled with delicious yummy treats :-)

Christmas Ornaments

OMGoodness! Can you believe it?  It's the first of September!   Autumn is on it's way followed closely by Christmas which is in 16 weeks!!  If you haven't started yet, now is the time to begin working on all your Christmas projects, be it cards, gifts, or whatever you have on your agenda.

For this challenge I made a few ornaments for my little cousins. Since my mom was visiting, I was able to send them to Portugal with her when she went back.

HIMCR Blogiversary # 4 ~ Freestyle

Woohoo, we are up to our 4th challenge which is Freestyle!  Yup, you can do anything you want in whatever theme you want!  These are my favourite :-)

No card this time.  I recently made this small thank you gift to give to someone very special, our mail lady or to be politically correct, our letter carrier :-), although I prefer to use her name which is Nancy.  She is one of those people that really do go above and beyond the call of duty :-)

 

The contents of this gift are two face cloths, one botanical candle and a little surprise in the form of shower gel that is tucked in the face cloths :-)

 

I love the colour yellow, it is just so bright and cheerful.  And of course, daisies are such happy flowers, it really is too bad they don't smell that great, because they truly are very pretty.  They remind of happy days, sunshine and the movie "You've got Mail" :-)  Anyway, I wrapped it all up in cellophane and gave it to Nancy.  She liked it very much, so mission accomplished :-)

Monogrammed Beer Glasses

Good morning everyone. Today I have a glass etching project to share with you.  I bought some beer glasses for my hubby and decided to monogram them with the family initial. It was really hard to take a picture that shows how pretty they came out, but this one should do the job. I did 8 of them.

 

I used the font from Tie the Knot. I cut it out of vinyl on my cricut but used the negative image to place on the glass to etch it.  Hubby was very happy with them.

Rosemary Bunches

We have two huge bushes of rosemary in our yard. One of them has practically taken over our dedicated area for herbs, so we decided to give it a good prunning.  We had so much rosemary left that I made these little bunches so that my hubby could take to work and give it to his co-workers.  I made little recipe cards and attached to each bunch with a ribbon.  I think they came out pretty cute and his co-workers loved them!

Spa Socks Cupcake

After seeing so many of these on the message boards, I decided to try one for myself, and let me tell you, they are a load of fun to make! They come out so cute! It makes such a cute little gift. I'm not sure who the original creator of this cupcake was, but all I can say is thanks for sharing your great idea. :)

Bookmarks

One thing I'm always short of is bookmarks. I have plenty of them, but can never find one when I need one! S0, take a look at these that I made - they are so easy to make and so much fun. Let me know what you think.

Look at the small pampering gifts I have been making. They are perfect for teachers, friends, birthdays, members of a wedding party, get-well and just general gifts of appreciation and friendship. They are all presented wrapped in cellophane.
