Another Stitch Birthday Card

 My mom is visiting from Portugal and loved being here for her great grandson's birthday. If you read my post a couple of days ago, you know that my grandson is crazy about Stitch.  Well I had to make a card for my mom to give him, so out came another Stitch card!

I used a Silhouette file for the card base.  I also used the Silhouette to print and cut the Stitch image 3 times.  Image was found on Google and was printed on photo paper.

By adhering the 3 images together, I got a more sturdy Stitch to put on the card.

Here is a side view. 

I made a panel at the back to print my sentiment and it's what my mom used to write her personal message.

This tunnel card measures 7" x 5" when folded flat for mailing.

Our little guy loved his card, so grandma did good!!! 😀

Emma's B'day - Moana Box Card

 Hello everyone! As promised I'm back today to share the card I made for my little granddaughter's birthday. Her birthday celebration was all about Moana, so I made her a Moana themed card.

I think it turned out super cute and she loved it.  In the end, that's all that matters :-)

Images are from Google. I used the Silhouette to trace and cut the images, as well as to cut the card base and a few of the other embellishments.

Hello  crafting friends. I'm still in Christmas mode, so today, for my Dies R Us DT project, I'd like to share the Christmas card I made for my grandson.  He's a great Mickey fan, so incorporating Mickey and his friends in this card design was a must  😀 

My little guy is 2 and a half years old and loves trains, especially the one that goes around the Christmas tree, so it was his love for the Christmas train that inspired me to make this card for him.

 I'd like to share a card I made for the birth of my littlest cousin.

As you all know by now, I'm a big Disney fan, so when this little dress popped into my head, I just had to put it to paper :-) Because of the hanger and the fact that I resize it, it does not fit into a regular envelope, so I made one for it.  Since it was going to be hand delivered, it wasn't a problem.

Easter Cards

Hello, crafting friends.  I have a few Easter cards, that I made for family, to share with you.

So as not to make this post too long, I will divide them over the next couple of days.  For today I'm sharing the cards I made for my little granddaughter and my little grandson.

As we all like Disney, I thought I would make them Mickey and Minnie cards. I always try to do the same for the one as I do for the other to keep things fair :-)  Both Mickey and Minnie were obtained from Google, imported into the Silhouette and cut.

So here is Mickey enjoying his Easter egg hunt :-)

The card design is Silhouette design # 174322.

Card stocks in the various colours are all from my scraps but most are from GinaK.

I used the Swiss Dot embossing folder from Cuttlebug to add a little dimension to the "grass"

I also added a few extra flowers by using a small eK punch.

The only place to add a message mat is at the back. The sentiment is from the Easter Punnies stamp set from Cardz TV.

The flowers were cut using various punches.

As you can see, it folds flat for mailing and fits perfectly in an A9 size envelope.

Here is the Minnie Mouse version.

All materials used are the same as described above.

Hello crafting friends.

It's my turn, today, to share a project using one of the many great svg files from

 Simply Crafty SVGs.

My little granddaughter is turning 4 in a couple of weeks and everything right now is about Ariel. She loves the Little Mermaid and even asked mommy for a Little Mermaid party. To go with this theme, I chose to work with the Dragon Castle SVG. Now you might be thinking that there are no dragons in the Little Mermaid and you're right, but that's the great thing about working with SVG's, you can personalize them any way you want.

This is what you get when you purchase this file. Everything that is in the castle as well as the fearsome dragon. This SVG file also comes with a bonus in the form of a Dragon Card.

Now let me show you what I did.

Yes, it is Prince Eric's castle :-) on their wedding day. I used the print and cut feature on the cricut to do all my image cuts. This box card measures 8" by 5.75", but remember it folds flat for mailing, so finding an envelope to accommodate it is not a problem. I made it on the larger side so that I could include all the characters I wanted.

 And ... Surprise! When you open the doors, you find the Happy Birthday greeting.

Isn't is fun?

I used a brick embossing folder for the walls and added small metal gems to the doors for door knobs. On this side, you have Ariel, Eric, Sebastian, Scuttle and Flounder.

On this side you have the goofy Max.  I also tore a small edge of sandy coloured cardstock and added it to the bottom of the castle to represent a small layer of sand. I cut a few pieces of beach grass and scattered them around. The doors (front and moat) were stamped with a background wood stamp.

On each side I continued with the "layer of sand" and beach grass.

On the back you have this fun shaped panel where you can write your personal message.

Although it may look complicated, this is a very easy card to put together. Besides if you feel a little lost, all you need to do is look at one of Sandy's video tutorials and you'll be on your way to completing your project without any problems. Sandy has an instructional video on all her files,  so help is always just a click away :-)

Last Minute Christmas Cards

Hello crafting friends and welcome back.  I have a few last minute Christmas cards to share with you today.  It's the 1st day of December and by now you should have all your cards done, written and ready to mail, but if you're like me, there are always a few last minute cards that you need.  This is where my frame dies come into play.  Here are a few ideas of how you can whip up a few cards that take about 15 - 20 minutes each :-). 

For my first card, I used Jeanine's Art Christmas Tree Frame. I dded a backing die cut with the Silhouette, a winter pic from a recycle Christmas card, a few sequins and it was done. If you want more info on how to make backing dies for your frame dies, please see this post here. 

My second card uses the Ice Crystal Frame by Amy Design. Since this is a straight square frame, it was easy to cut a plain square 1/4" bigger and place it as a backing mat. I then added a pair of bells adorned with holly and tiny silver glitter snowflakes to the centre of each of the bigger snowflakes on the die frame. The bells are a die from Marianne Designs.  Every so often, Dies R Us runs a big sale on international dies. During these times, you will find dies from companies such as Marianne Designs, Lea'bilities, and Joy Crafts, etc. The best way to know about these fabulous sales is to subscribe to the Dies R Us Newsletter. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you will be able to enter your email address and be put on their mailing list. The focal image is cut from an old calendar. I'm always on the look out for these types of images. You can find them on old Christmas cards, packaging, gift wrapping paper, old calendars, Pinterest and Google.

Sometimes, I look for odd pieces that were left over from previous projects, like this Vintage Minnie by Character World, for example. Do you remember her? To read about how I put her together, please see this post.  I wanted a simple frame for her, so I decided on the Christmas Card Set also by Amy Design.

I used the largest die to cut the card shape. Then cut the holly frame in green and added tiny little red gems for the berries. I think this card came out very CAS but still festive and perfect for Christmas. What do you all think?

The last card I'm sharing with you today, uses the Christmas Greeting Frame by Amy Design. In this case, I traced the outside and the inside of the die so that I could scan it and cut it with the Silhouette to create a frame backing die. I did the same thing with the Merry Christmas greeting which is by Yvonne Creations. I added a piece of burlap snowflake paper to background and called it good. Again, CAS but pretty for Christmas, I think.

I'm sure by now you've figure out why I love my frame dies. They are the best to make quick and easy cards that look like you spent a lot of time making them. I made all four cards, the fronts and the insides in a little less than 2 hours :-)
