Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Hello and welcome to this month's Christmas challenge at
 Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Our inspiration song for April's challenge is 𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅯 Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree 𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅯.  This means that you can use any verse, phrase or word in the song to create your Christmas project.  Here are the lyrics of this song for your inspiration.

~ Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree ~

Rockin' around the Christmas tree
At the Christmas party hop
Mistletoe hung where you can see
Every couple tries to stop
Rockin' around the Christmas tree
Let the Christmas spirit ring
Later we'll have some pumpkin pie
And we'll do some caroling
You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear
Voices singing, let's be jolly
Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Rockin' around the Christmas tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone dancin' merrily
In the new old-fashioned way
Oh, you will get a sentimental feeling when you hear
Voices singing, let's be jolly
Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Rockin' around the Christmas tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone dancin' merrily
In the new old-fashioned way

So here is my take on the "Voices singing, let's be jolly" 😀

Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ Santa Ornament

Hello and welcome to April's Christmas challenge
at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Our challenge this month is Gnomes/Santa/Elves.
Here is our inspiration pic ...

I decided to go with Santa and came up with this card.

I used the Christmas Ornament die from Marianne Design and cut out the ornament using gold mirri cardstock.  I also cut out additional trees and stars in green, red and gold cardstock, respectively.

This card has a beautiful shine to it but it sure was very hard for me to photograph.  Still want to do those photography classes sometime :-)  Even the Santa pic is made of a shiny cardstock.  It is from the 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, Mirri Magic Pad by Hunkydory.

I used the Swiss Dot embossing folder from Cuttlebug for the background and the Bows Punch die from Marianne Design to create the little bow on the ornament.  I topped it off with a tiny gold star.

On the inside, I used the bottom half of the Merry Christmas Tree die by Impression Obsession and used a left over tiny gold star to dot the "i".

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project, that falls within our challenge theme, and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at  Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ Snowflakes

   Happy New Year crafting friends!

Welcome to a brand new year of Christmas crafting at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Our challenge this month is Snowflakes.

Since my family is still here, visiting for the holidays from overseas, I needed to make a quick and easy card.  At times like these, I tend to pull out my Hunkydory card kits and that is exactly what I did today.  Not exactly a whole kit, but I used one of their little books of images, this one with various scenes with snow.

I used an image from the Little Book of Frosty and Friends and cut it to a square. Then I used a sheet of Petite Plaids and used that to create one of the mats on my card. I thought it match the snowman's jacket perfectly.⛄ I matted the image and the plaid paper onto gold glossy cardstock and then adhered all the layers to a white card base.  To add that little something special, I added a few snowflake sprinkles from Kat Scrappiness.

On the inside I just used a few left over pieces to create a little border for my stamp.

Crafty Materials used to make this card:
Hunkydory's Little Book of  Frosty & Friends
Divity Designs Petite Plaids Paper Pad
Marianne Design Gold Cardstock
Kat Scrappiness White Snowflakes Sprinkles
Paper Inspirations - Christmas Peace Sentiment Stamp
VersaFine Onyx Black Ink
Recollections 5.5" x 5.5" White Card & Envelope

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project, that falls within our challenge theme, and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at  Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Wishing you all the very best for 2024!
May it be blessed with all that makes you smile!

CCAYR ~ Twelve Drummers Drumming

Hello crafting friends and welcome to this month's challenge  at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.  On our last "The 12 days of Christmas" challenges, this month we have Twelve Drummers Drumming.

This is December's inspiration pic.
Our challenge this month is to have Twelve of something or a Musical Theme.

My musical theme card was inspired by this sweet image from Hunkydory's Little Book of Season's Greetings. To cut out the shaped mats, I used dies from the Christmas Card Set by Amy Designs.  The music note paper came from my scraps drawer, so no info on that. The stamped sentiment is a stamp from Stampabilities, called Glory of Christ.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project that falls within our challenge theme, and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at  Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

CCAYR ~ Nine Ladies Dancing

Hello crafting friends and welcome to this month's challenge  at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.  On our "The 12 days of Christmas" challenges, this month we have Nine Ladies Dancing.

This is September's inspiration pic.
Our challenge this month is to have Nine of something or For a Female.

This month I went with the "Nine of Something" which is the number of people standing by the Christmas Tree, in the town square, singing carols on Christmas Eve.

As you can see this card was very easy to put together and only took me about 15 minutes to make.  Here is the short list of crafty ingredients:

Hunkydory -  "Square Little Book of Festive Deco Shimmer" (image)
Marianne Design - Anja's Square
Hampton Art Stamps - We Wish you a Merry Christmas Tree

Under the Mistletoe

Hello and welcome back. Do you know that there are only 95 days left till Christmas?
I definitely need to work on my Christmas card stash, so with that in mind, I created this card.

I'm really loving this Christmas Stitching Border die from Marianne Designs.  I used it on a 5.5" x 5.5" card. I used 4 strands of DMC embroidery floss of each colour to stitch each element.

To pair with this beautiful edge, I picked a tag from the Christmas in Acorn Woods Tag Pad, by Hunkydory, and cut it using the Arched Window Nesting dies also from Hunkydory. I cut another arched window out of GinaK's red card stock and used that to mat the image and to match the red border of inside of the card.

To finish it off, I stamped the Christmas sentiment which is from Paper Inspirations and it is called Christmas Peace.  An oldie but still a goodie 😀

I'll be back soon with another Christmas card, so stay tuned.

With this card, I'm playing along at

Christmas in times gone by ...

When you're running out of time and still need a few Christmas cards, the "Little Books" from Hunkydory really come in hand to make a quick and easy card.

This image is from the Square Little Book of Festive Deco Shimmer.  It has beautiful images of Christmases gone by and is absolutely beautiful.

That is all for today, friends. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Masculine Birthday Card

Hello crafting friends. Today I would like to share the card I made for my son-in-law's birthday.

It wasn't the happiest of days for him, but it could have been a lot worse, I guess.  He spent the day helping my hubby outside in the sub-freezing temps trying to get the generator to work, to no avail.  The thing just went and gave up the ghost on us, on the coldest day I have ever lived thru.
Murphy's law, right?

Well, Shane loves cars, especially vintage muscle cars, so using a design from the Manly Moments Decoupage book, from Hunkydory, I made this card for him.

This card measures 6.5" x 5". Black and red cardstocks are from The Paper Studio.
I used a chevron embossing folder to emboss a piece of mirror cardstock.

I fussy cut all the layers of the car and adhered them together using 1mm foam squares.
I used the Happy Birthday element that comes with this sheet. I made a little mirror cardstock mat for it.
The number pins were made using a die from Marianne Designs. The stars were cut using a small punch.

On the inside, I made the same layers as I did in the front but used white cardstock instead of the mirror cardstock. This is my message panel. I used another element that comes in the sheet and made a little embellishment to add a little more interest. I also punched out a few more stars to bring it altogether. The stamped sentiment is from the Good Times stamp set, by Cardz TV.

I thought I would show you a close up of all the layers. It has so much dimension, especially on top of the 3D embossed panel.

Well friends, that was it. I'm glad I got this Manly Moments Decoupage booklet.  It will definitely help when making more masculine cards.

Till next time,
stay warm, safe and healthy.

February Challenge at CCAYR ~ Hearts of Love

Hello crafting friends, and welcome to February's challenge at
 Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round!

Our challenge this month is Hearts of Love!

It's February, the month to celebrate your love for the special people in your life - other half, kiddos, family, friends, etc.  So, when I saw this card from Hunkydory's Festive Deco Shimmer booklet, I thought it would make a perfect Christmas card for this challenge.  Don't they look so much in love?

I used the Silhouette to cut out the deco shape and the gold mat.
I then layered more gold mirror card stock and deep purple card stock to create another set of mats on this 5.5" x 5.5" card.  I used a copic marker to colour the little gems and although they photographed light blue in the picture, they are actually the same deep purple as the card stock in real life. Proof that cameras do funny tricks sometimes 😀

I kept the inside pretty simple. I just cut another two deco shaped mats in the deep purple and white card stocks and stamped a greeting from the Festive Greetings stamp set by Creative Expressions.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you  make a Christmas project and come play along with us.  You have till the end of February 2020 to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round!

The Stockings were hung ...

Hello and welcome to November's challenge at
November Challenge ~ Stockings or other Winter Clothing
Prize: Please see the CCAYR blog for prize details.

This card was so easy and fun to put together. Since the image is so sweet and festive, I decided to use a fancy frame and not add any more embellishments that would take away from the image.

Here are the crafty ingredients I used to make this sweet Christmas card:

Card base - Recollections - 6.5" x 5" - white
Red and white card stock - The Paper Studio
Embossing folder - Swiss Dots - Cuttlebug
Decorative Frame - Spellbinders - Romantic Rectangles
Image - Hunkydory - Little Book of Snow is Falling
Glitter Dots - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Stamped sentiment - Great Impression Stamps

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'd love for you to create a project and join in the fun by linking it to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round
