On Your Christening Day

Hello and welcome back. It's my turn today to share a card at the Dies R Us Inspirational Blog.  I'd like to share the card I made for my grandson's Christening and show you how I used some of my dies to make embellishments to add to the stamped image.

As you can see above, I used several different dies to enhance my digital image. I started by using the Pinpoint Scalloped Circles from Memory Box and made two mats in different sizes - one for the digi image and the other for the greeting.  Then I cut out one of the sprigs from the Spellbinder's Sprigs die set, to create a green leafy base for my flowers.  Next, I cut and used two of  the branches from the Flourishes and Branches die set by Elizabeth Crafts.  I added tiny gems to these two little branches to add a little more interest and a bit of sparkle.  And there you have it ~ just by using a few dies here and there, you can create your own embellishments and mats to make your images stand out and bring colour into your design.

I have a baby boy Christening card to share with you today. I was commissioned to make this card for my little grandson's Christening :-)

   For this card I used the following crafting goodies:

Joyful Christening

Hello crafty friends. So happy you stopped by today.

I have a card to share with you that I made for the Christening of my grandson, Derek.

As you know by now, I started making a few stitched cards at Christmas time and I can assure you that the novelty hasn't worn off :-) I still love it!

I used a cardbase from Recollections.

Did the stitching on linen paper. Blue cardstock is from GinaK.

Decorative corners are from my stash.

For my project I made this card using the Vintage Silver Lustre paper.  It is absolutely stunning.

I used a Cottage Cutz die for the Christening Gown and a Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4 die for the mat. Added a few pearls and flowers from my stash.

 

 

Although this is not the best of photos, I wanted to post this picture to show you the pearlensce of this beautiful patterned paper.  I made this card for my little granddaughter for her Christening.  She was a star during the ceremony and looked like an angel.  Hubby and I were not only the very proud grandparents but also the very proud Godparents :-)   Here is a pic that I would like to share with you ...
