Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ Away in a Manger

Hello and welcome to this month's Christmas challenge at
 Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Our inspiration song for March's challenge is 𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅯 Away in a Manger 𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅯.  That means that you can use any verse, phrase or word in the song to create your Christmas project.  Here are the lyrics of this song to inspire you ...

~ Away in a Manger ~
Away in a manger
No crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus
Lay down His sweet head
The stars in the sky
Look down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay
The cattle are lowing
The poor baby wakes
But little Lord Jesus
No crying He makes
I love Thee, Lord Jesus
Look down from the sky
And stay by my side
'Til morning is nigh
Be near me, Lord Jesus
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray
Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care
And take us to heaven
To live with Thee there
Take us to heaven
To live with Thee there.

Santa gave me these dies for Christmas and I hadn't had a chance to use them, so when I saw this challenge, I knew exactly what I was going to do 😀

Dies R Us #193 ~ Rose Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to another challenge, starting today, at Dies R Us.

Challenge #193 ~ Anything Goes
(as long as you use a die that is sold at Dies R Us)

I recently purchased the Romantic Florals Paper Pad and thought it would go beautifully with the Precious Marieke Rose Frame die.  So here is the result.

After cutting out all the mats and the dies, it was just a matter of assembling and adhering them together.  I used a 3D Topper Rose from Hearty Crafts, Rose Bouquets collection.  I felt that the rose bouquet needed a bow so made a little one using gold ribbon, and adhered it to the rose stems. When the whole card was put together, I felt like it needed a little something more, so I die cut a few  butterflies from Karen Burniston's Backyard Charms.

On the inside, I used another piece of the paper pad as well as one of the sentiment tags that come on one of the sheets, and the last little butterfly.

Although I like the way this card came out, it's not at all my style.  The patterned paper, although beautiful, is a lot darker than I expected, and as you know by now, I love bright colours :-)

Well, that is it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by and spending a little of your day with me.  I hope I was able to inspire you to create a project, and  play along with us at the Dies R Us Challenges for your chance to win a gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the 1st and 15th of each month.  There is a prize to be won with every challenge, you could be the lucky winner! If you have a minute, please visit our challenge blog, where my team mates showcase their creations to provide you with some wonderful inspiration.  Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Pinterest too.

And don't forget to visit our sister store, Didi Crafts.  It has warehouses in the US and Canada. This means that our Canadian friends no longer have to worry about huge taxes or expensive shipping fees.  It has some products that are the same as Dies R Us, but in addition, it carries international dies,  and other crafty supplies for a variety of crafts.  Go take a peek and be pleasantly surprised!

CCAYR ~ May's Christmas Challenge

Hello crafting friends and welcome to this month's
challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Challenge ~ Christmas Tree &/or Gifts
This is May's Christmas cake inspiration pic.

For my DT project, this month, I went with a Christmas frame die, some pretty winter paper,
and a Christmas Tree with presents topper.

As you can see, it was very easy to put together and I think it came our rather festive, don't you think?

On the inside I used a sentiment die and centered it at an angle on the same paper I used on the front of the card.

Here are the supplies I used to make this card:

Hot Off the Press papers - Snowfall  6 x 6 paper pad
Amy Design die - Christmas Greetings Frame
Karen Burniston die - Merry Christmas Word
Karen Burniston die - Merry Christmas Word Shadow

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project that falls within our challenge theme, and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at  Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.
