My son's girlfriend loves gnomes, so when I saw this Gnome with a Daisy from The Paper Shelter, I thought it the perfect digi to make a birthday card for her.

I made this diamond easel card using Bazzill cardstock for the base.  The patterned paper is from a 6" x 6" Memory Box paper pad called Magnolia Grove.

I decided to include our optional twist of using an embossing folder, and used the Dotty Flourish 3D embossing folder from Creative Expressions, to create the backgroud for the happy gnome.

On the inside, I used three daisies to create the stopper for the card.

I made this card to be 5.5" by 5.5".  It fits perfectly into a 5.75" square envelope.
Since I am going to hand deliver it, it won't be a problem for me, but I'm pretty sure that the bow will flatten when put in the mail.  In order to avoid from it becoming completely flat, you can insert a couple of foam squares into each loop.  I've tried this before and it fared well in the mail.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I would love to you see you play along with us.  You have until noon, CST, on 10 September 2024, to link your project to our challenge.

Crafty Gals Corner #255 ~ Anything Goes w/Twist being Pearls/Lace

Hello crafting friends and welcome to our May challenge

Challenge #255 ~ Anything Goes with optional twist being Lace &/or Pearls

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is:

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

When I saw this beautiful  Ashlee Toad Faerie, I pictured her in a grassy field filled with beautiful flowers, and so this card was made.

I used a file from Silhouette, and added the Ashlee Toad Faerie to the design.

Here is a close up of this gorgeous beauty. I used tiny pearls on her dress and one on the center of her bow, as part of our Twist option for this challenge.

This is a pop up decagon card with 3 pop up layers.

As you can see I did not add a message panel to the back because it would have been too tiny.  So I'll just write my message on a small note card and place it in the envelope together with this card.

When folded flat for mailing, it fits perfectly into an A9 envelope.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I would love to you see you play along with us.  You have until noon, CST, on 11 June 2024, to link your project to our challenge.

Teen Birthday

Hi everyone.  I have a box of cards that are half done.  Started on them, then got busy and just didn't finish them.  Well, I promised myself that I would start working on them to get them finished.  Another thing that I'm trying to do is blog cards that have been done but not shared.  With the the latter in mind, here is the card I made for my nephew for his birthday which was in November last year.

I thought this would be an appropriate card for a seventeen year old, and since he liked it, I guess mission accomplished 😀

It was done using a card kit made by Marthy from Hand Made Hobby Shop in Holland.  The image has several layers which were fussy cut and then adhered together using foam squares.  I cut out the word Celebrate in blue and white and off set them a tad to make the work stand out a little more against the blue background.

I added the white panel at the back of the card so I had space to write my personal birthday wishes for him.

So, one card shared and many more to go, but never fear, I will get there! 😀

Till next time,

New Home ~ Garden Pop-up

Hello and welcome crafting friends. I have another new home card to share with you today.

Used a file from Silhouette to make this pop up card.

All cardstocks and patterned papers came from my scraps drawers.  These pop up cards with their small cuts are a great way to use up all the bits and pieces left from other projects 😀

I added a plain white mat to the back to write my personal message.

I love that these cards fold down flat and don't really add too much bulk.  It's easy to put in the mail.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back soon with another new home card to share with you.

Till then,

Easter Bunny Hexagon Pop Up Card

Hello everyone. Today I'm sharing another Easter card I made using a Silhouette file.  I love fun folds and this hexagon pop up card is just that.  Easy to put together and fun to display.

All cardstocks and patterned papers are from my scraps drawers.  In fact, I used up a lot of scraps to make my Easter cards this year, but looking at my scrap drawers, it doesn't look like I even made a dent!

I made a little white panel and adhered it to the back so that I had a place to write my personal message.  It's small, so I kept the message small and simple too :-)

Another thing I love about this type of fold is that it folds flat for mailing and does not add a lot of bulk.  Perfect for mailing overseas :-)

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and will come back again soon.

Carrot Bunny Car

Hello everyone and welcome back.
Today I'm sharing the Easter card I made for my grandson.

I used a Silhouette file to cut this cut carrot card.

Cardstocks are all from my scraps drawers except the dark orange one to create the base, that one is from The Paper Studio.

The back has the perfect mat to give you space to write your personal message.

I did increase the size of the card and made it as large as possible by putting the base of the card at a diagonal angle on the cutting mat.  I'm not quite sure of the size of the card, since I forgot to measure it, but it does fit into an A7 envelope perfectly, when folded for mailing.

That's all for today folks.  I still have a few more cards to share, so I'll be back soon.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you'll come back to visit.

Happy Easter!

 Happy Easter crafting friends!
I'd like to share the Easter card I made for my mom.

This is what Easter is really all about for me and I know that since my mom feels the same way, that she liked it.  This design was cut using a Silhouette file. I resized it, and had to put it at an angle on the mat, but this way I was able to make it little bigger than the original file.

Here is a close up of this card. It really was easy to put together and does not have a lot of bulk which is important when you're mailing cards overseas.

I adhered a plain white mat on the back of the card, so that I would have a place to write my personal message.

I mentioned that I resized this card.  It came out to be +/- 5.5" by 5.5" when folded flat for mailing and fits perfectly into a regular sized 5.75" square envelope.

I wish you and yours a very Blessed day filled with love, joy, good health,
and let's not forget the chocolates 😀

I will be back tomorrow with another Easter card.  We, as a family get together again and celebrate Easter Monday.  It's not really a thing in America, but we keep the traditions we grew up with.  It's fun!😀

Easter Bunny Envelope Card

Hello crafting friends. Today I'm sharing the Easter card I made for my lil granddaughter.

I thought this cute envelope card with the peeking bunny would be right up her alley :-)
The .cut file is from Silhouette. The cardstocks are from different companies. They're all from my scraps drawers.

I added the text before using the print and cut feature on this background.  I cut a few additional flowers to adhere to the back to make it more lively.

I love these cards that are 3D but fold flat for mailing.  This card fits perfectly in a 6" x 6" envelope and since it is being hand delivered, it won't cost a penny more in postage 😀

I hope your Easter weekend is gearing up to the best one yet.

Crafty hugs,
