Pet Sympathy Card

Hello friends.  Sadly, every now and then we need one of these cards.
My daughter's fur-buddy passed away last week quite unexpectedly.  We knew he had a few health issues, but just 2 days prior to his passing, he was at the vet who said he was doing well.  Zeus was almost 12 years old and had a good and happy life, and he certainly took a piece of our hearts with him.

I made this tri-fold card for my daughter, her hubby and the grandbabies.

I used a Hero Arts clouds border die to create the clouds on front of the card. The paw prints, name and years were cut using a Silhouette.

I used the cut out of the clouds as a stencil, and created the clouds on the background by sponging Hero Arts Unicorn ink on a sky blue piece of cardstock.

The dog with the wings, halo and cloud are all from a Silhouette file.

This is what the card looks like when it's open. Closed it is a 6.5" x 5" card.
I made a little panel on the inside so that I could write my personal message.

On the back I printed the Rainbow Bridge poem/verse.

Zeus may be gone, but he will never be forgotten and one day we will all see him again.

Crafty hugs,

Fairy Stamper ~ New Year's Party

Happy New Year crafting friends and welcome to my Fairy Stamper Friday Share.

You're invited to the New Year's Bash at Pinecone Manor.
What a wonderful way to ring in the New Year.
Come join us, one an all!

This was such a fun card to design :-) I used a pre printed background paper and stamped all my elements. I placed them in such a way, that there was no masking required.

To continue the party theme on the inside, I computer printed the greeting and stamped the little Drummer Snowman again.

I used Glazed Pens to add colour to the house and the snowmen.  I used glitter on all of the fairies' wings and with my white Signo pen, I added the effect of snow to the house.  Lastly I stamped and heat embossed the fireworks.  You can see some of the dimension that all these different mediums added to the card.  Oops, I just realised that I forgot to put glitter on the wings of the fairy that is opening the door.  Need to go fix that :-)

As always, I have the list of supplies I used linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Fairy Hugs Stamps
Nellie's Choice Stamps
Fairy Hugs Papers
Fairy Hugs Glitter
Distress Oxide Inks
Hero Arts Inks
VersaFine Clair Inks

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope I have inspired you to create a project and to come join the fun. Our challenges go live on the first Thursday of each month on our Facebook group.   All you have to do is to create a project and upload the pic to our challenge album.  There is a $15.00 prize for one lucky crafter 😀

Fairy Stamper ~ Santa Claus is coming to town ...

Happy Friday crafting friends and welcome to my Fairy Stamper Friday Share.

There is a week left till Santa comes to town. Did you make the "Nice" list this year? Will he bring you lots of crafting goodness? I hope so and that you get everything on your wish list!
For my card today,  Santa is flying over the roof tops. I made a slimline card, using a premade background, to accommodate the height of the scene.  Lots of inking, stamping and fun in making this card :-)

I love this Christmas sentiment and since it is rather large, it fits beautifully on a slimline card.  I wasn't too happy that the sentiment alone made the inside look very blah, so I added a few snowy trees. This still leaves me plenty of space to write my personal message, but adds that something extra 😀

Now for the supplies used to make this card, most linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Fairy Stamper Stamps ~ Roof Tops
Studio Light Stamps ~ Winter Charm
Frog's Whiskers Ink. Stamps ~ Snow Trio Trees, My Christmas
Designer Boutique Stamps ~ Above the Roof Tops
Fairy Hugs Papers ~ Moon Light Night
Fairy Hugs Inks ~ Raven Black
Hero Arts Inks ~ Unicorn
VersaFine Clair Inks ~ Morning Mist, Rainforest
Distress Oxide Inks ~ Mustard Seed

You'll notice that there are a few stamps that do not have links to the Fairy Stamper store.  This is because they were purchased during one of Fairy Stamper's International sales events.  These sales take place every so often and the best way to know about them is to subscribe to the Fairy Stamper store newsletter HERE.  (Scroll down to the very bottom of the page and enter your information)

Fairy Stamper ~ Hoots!

Happy Friday crafting friends and welcome to my Fairy Stamper Friday Share.

Isn't the new release just gorgeous? It reminded me of how much I used to love to read ... until I discovered card making 😀

I began by using a sheet of the Purple Fairy papers and adhering it to my card base.
Next I stamped the Open Book and Hoots on a piece of scrap card stock and did a little bit of colouring. You can't see it from the pic but Hoots is styling a glittery pair of glasses.  Then I fussy cut both images and popped them onto the card using foam dots, one for the book and a double layer for Hoots.

On the inside, I used another piece of the Purple Fairy papers and stamped the Between Pages sentiment.  I also added the Stacked Books and did a tiny bit of colouring to enhance them. Looking back I'm not sure that white was the best colour although it was the colour that made them stand out the most.  But next time, I will definitely try different colours for the books.

I have linked all the Fairy Hugs stamps, above, to the Fairy Stamper store for your convenience.  In addition to the stamps I used the following products:

Fairy Village

Hello crafting friends and welcome back to another Fairy Stamper Friday DT share.

Would it be fun to live in a little fairy village amongst the Dancing Mushrooms 😀
Such a happy place!

I used a combination of stamps and die to create this scene. First I used distress oxide inks to shade in the background.  Next, I stamped the mushrooms stems. Then I masked the stems and stamped the mushroom heads. I had previously made an SVG for these mushrooms, so I used that to cut them out with my Cricut.  Of course you can also fussy cut them if you don't have an electronic cutting machine.
I made a few die cuts and after assembling and colouring them, I adhered them to the card, slotting the mushrooms in between the grass borders. I used foam dots to add a bit of dimension.
On the inside, I continue with the design by stamping the mushrooms and the greeting.
For the final touch, I added sparkle by using various colours of Fairy Hugs glitter.
Listed below are the supplies I used, each linked to the Fairy Stamper store, for your convenience.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will join us on our Fairy Stamper Facebook group and share with us all your beautiful projects.

Till next time,
stay safe and well!

Lavinia World #37 ~ Hocus Pocus

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #37  at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

It's October and in the US, that means Halloween. ðŸ‘» I believe it is now becoming more popular in some parts of Europe too, but here in the US, it's a big deal.  I must admit, that I tend to celebrate on the less creepy side of things :-)  For me it's all about the costumes and the candy. Love seeing all the little princesses, pirates, super heroes, and ghosties at my door getting candy. Being Portuguese, I guess for me it's more like Carnaval - dressing up and having fun, which explains why I don't do the creepy :-)
Another fun activity for me during this time is to make Halloween cards. So with that in mind, here is Willow the witch, mixing potions and casting spells to make sure everyone has enough candy on Halloween to give out to all the little goblins 😀

I used the same stamps for the inside and used a computer generated greeting, leaving plenty of room for my handwritten message.

List of supplies used, each linked to the Lavinia World store, for your convenience.
