Crafty Gals Corner's 6th Blogiversary!!!

Hello and welcome to our 6th Blogiversary blog hop, at Crafty Gals Corner.
To start off the celebration, and to be eligible to win the sponsor prize, you'll have to visit each blog, leave some bloggie love, and collect a secret letter from each teamie.  At the end of the hop, you need to go back to Crafty Gals Corner blog and leave a comment with the Secret Word".

The theme for our challenge #202 is ~ 'Tis the Season
(Anything to celebrate this festive season)

Our amazing sponsor helping us celebrate our 6th Blogiversary is

Prize ~ 3 Digi Stamps

In addition, Crafty Gals Corner will also be sponsoring the following prizes:

1 pair of LulaRoe Leggings
(So you'll be nice and comfy while making your next project😀)

1 x $5.00 gift certificate to digi store of choice.

Using Ginger Spice Cocoa Mug digi, I made this fancy window card.
The base of the card is a design from the Silhouette store. The card stock and candy cane paper are both from The Paper Studio. I coloured the image using copic markers.

Since there was no place to write a message on the front of the card, I made a panel at the back.  The stamp is from Great Impressions and the red card stock is from Recollections.

The final size of this card is 5.5" x 5.5"., and as you can see it folds flat for mailing.

And now, as promised and for your convenience, here is the list of the teamies participating in our blogiversary blog hop.  I have linked each name to their blog, so grab a cuppa, click and enjoy 😀

Lena - You are here and my secret letter is S

Now, don't forget to go back to the Crafty Gals Corner blog and leave a comment with the secret word.  Also remember that you have to leave a comment on every blog as you hop along the way.

In addition to the lovely prizes being offered by Crafty Gals Corner, I have a prize for a lucky winner who leaves a comment on my blog.  This will be a $10 gift certificate to a digi store of choice.  I would love for you to become a follower of my blog as well, but it is merely a kind request, not a requirement :-)

Since we are a monthly challenge blog, you have till January 7th to complete your hopping :-)
I will announce the winner on our next challenge on January 8, 2020.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Happy hopping and good luck!

Till next time,

It's Fancy Folds at Crafty Gals Corner

Hello crafting friends and welcome back to another fun challenge starting today at Crafty Gals Corner!

Challenge # 192 ~ Fancy Fold

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is:

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

MoonFlower has gorgeous digis and it's like each one of them tells a story. When I saw this beautiful Sakura Maiden, I knew exactly what type of fancy fold I wanted to use to showcase her beauty.

This is a double diamond fold card design purchased from the Silhouette store - design #155185.  The pink cardstock is from GinaK.   I printed the image on X-PressIt cardstock and coloured it using copic markers.   The design paper is from a "Oriental Origami" paper pack.  The pearls are from Marianne Designs and the butterflies were punched out using a Martha Stewart punch.

As you can see, it folds beautiful for mailing. This is a 5" x 5" card that folds flat to fit in a 5.5" x 5.5" envelope.  It may require a little extra postage, depending on where you're mailing it to, because it is more than a 1/4" thick.

Well, crafting friends, I hope you liked my card and feel inspired
to get crafty and come play along with us.  You have till 12:00 pm CST on 4 June 2019, to link your card to our challenge.

I would like to play along with the following challenges:

Crafty Sentiment Designs - Anything Goes
Die Cut Divas - Flowers All Year Round in May
Dream Valley Challenges - Only Girls Allowed
A Gem of a Challenge - Anything Goes

Till next time,
Happy Crafting!

(Formerly Lacy Sunshine)
Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Using Rory's April Showers from Colour of Love, I created this card of encouragement.

Card design - Silhouette #213493
Rain pattern - Silhouette #7037
Wellington boots - Silhouette #56451

It's not often that the focal point of my cards is found on the inside, but with this cutie, I found it to be just perfect. I coloured the image using copic markers.

Here is a close up of sweet Rory. Isn't she adorable? I printed her on white X-PressIt card stock.  All other card stocks used are from GinaK.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and spending a little of your time with me. I hope you'll come play along with us.  You have till 12:00 pm CST on 7 May 2019, to link your card to our challenge.

February Challenge at CCAYR

Hello and welcome back friends!!!
To help you start your crafty month on a good note, we have a fun challenge
at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round hosted by the Gingerbread Gals.

February Challenge ~ Carols / Songs
Prize ~  please visit the CCAYR blog

Using the Angels Rejoice stamp from Stampevie, I created this window card. I can't remember the last time I used this stamp, but I really enjoy creating the scene on this card with it. It's one of the many items I have in my craft room that although I haven't use in a long time, I just cannot part with.  I guess that is why I have so much stuff in my crafty room!  I don't like clutter at all, but I can't seem to do a good de-stashing of my crafty supplies either.  Maybe because it is all neatly packed, it doesn't feel cluttered at all, so no reason to get rid of it, right? :-) Besides, you know the minute you get rid of something, that within the next couple of days you're going to wish you hadn't, so why set yourself up for regrets?  :-) That is my story, and I'm sticking to it! :-)

Crafty Ingredients:
Card base - Recollections 6.5" x 5" - white
Card design - Silhouette - design #76672
Embossing Folder - Bricked - Sizzix
Image - Angels Rejoice - Stampavie Stamps
Sentiment stamps - Noel Christmas Ornaments - JustRite Stamps
Toffee Crunch & Summer Sky Memento Inks
Copic Markers

Now it's your turn to join in the fun.
You have till the end of the month to link your project to our challenge.
Looking forward to seeing your festive creations.

Till next time, happy crafting!

Hugs,

It's a CAS challenge at Crafty Gals Corner

Hello crafting friends. Please join us in a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner hosted by the Crafty Gals.

Challenge # 184 ~ Clean & Simple!

Our wonderful and very generous sponsors for this challenge are:

OddBall Art
Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

Prize ~ 2 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ $6 Gift Certificate

So it's official! Clean and Simple are the hardest cards for me to make. I feel like a bit of a doofus, but it it what it is - I cannot make CAS cards! I try really hard, but it just doesn't happen for me, mostly, I believe, because I just can't leave it well enough alone with just the image and a sentiment.  It just doesn't look CAS to me, it looks unfinished.  Funny thing is, I admire all the beautiful CAS cards that make the rounds in bloggieland, but when it's my own ... I just can't do it!  So with a lot of difficulty, here is my "borderline" CAS card made with the Sundae image from Dr. Digi's Stamps :-)

Crafting Ingredients:
Image - Sundae - Dr Digi's
Card base - Recollections 5.5" x 5.5" - white
Brown cardstock - GinaK.
Sundae Paper - Not too sure, I've had these digital papers for a long time
Birthday Stamp - Great Impression Stamps
Copic markers used for colouring image
Pink enamel dots - The Paper Studio
Glassy accents for the cherry
Wink of Stella pen to add shine to the Sundae "glass"

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I was able to inspire you to come play along with us.
You have till 12:00 pm CST on 12 February 2019 to link your card to our challenge.

Till next time,
Happy Crafting!

Congratulations Lisa!  Please contact me by email (lenfon@msn.com) with your address so that I can put the goodies in the mail for you :-)
Time for a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner!

Challenge #131 ~ Do It for the Dudes!

Our sponsors this week are ...

Doctor Digi
Prize: 2 Digital Images

Prize: 1 Digital Image

Using Space Puppy by Sasayaki Glitter, I made this card for my nephew who lives in Portugal.  He was voted onto the school's valor board by all his teachers for the way he helped a classmate, who came from England, adapt to school life and school work, etc. in Portugal.  What makes this more special is that he, himself is still trying to adapt too, because his home language is English and he was born in Canada. He is only 10 years old but he is definitely and "Paws-itively the Best" :-)

Since this card is being mailed overseas, I wanted it to keep it as flat as possible so it'll fit in a standard envelope.

I used the following crafting ingredients:
Silhouette design number 21575 for the Rocket Pattern paper
Silhouette design number 149750 for the Star Trifold card
Image was coloured with copic markers
White and yellow cardstocks - GinaK.
Stamped sentiment - CardzTV Critter Punnies stamp set

Thank you for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to create a project to join us in this fun challenge. You have till noon, CST, on Tuesday, 18 July 2017, to link your project to the Crafty Gals Corner blog.

Till next time, happy crafting!
