Challenge # 184 ~ Clean & Simple!
Our wonderful and very generous sponsors for this challenge are:
Prize ~ 2 Digital Images
Prize ~ 3 Digital Images
Prize ~ $6 Gift Certificate
So it's official! Clean and Simple are the hardest cards for me to make. I feel like a bit of a doofus, but it it what it is - I cannot make CAS cards! I try really hard, but it just doesn't happen for me, mostly, I believe, because I just can't leave it well enough alone with just the image and a sentiment. It just doesn't look CAS to me, it looks unfinished. Funny thing is, I admire all the beautiful CAS cards that make the rounds in bloggieland, but when it's my own ... I just can't do it! So with a lot of difficulty, here is my "borderline" CAS card made with the Sundae image from Dr. Digi's Stamps :-)
Crafting Ingredients:
Image - Sundae - Dr Digi's
Card base - Recollections 5.5" x 5.5" - white
Brown cardstock - GinaK.
Sundae Paper - Not too sure, I've had these digital papers for a long time
Birthday Stamp - Great Impression Stamps
Copic markers used for colouring image
Pink enamel dots - The Paper Studio
Glassy accents for the cherry
Wink of Stella pen to add shine to the Sundae "glass"

I know what you mean. If feel the same way with one layers, mine most often turn out looking bland, while others can make the most spectacular designs. And flowers as embellishments? Never quite get the arrangement right, always turns out looking like a clumsy job. Anyway, i don’t know all the rules for CAs, but this is far simpler than your usual designs, for sure, and it doesn’t look bland, and it’s certainly sweet:)
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous, Lena! xoxo
