Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ Trees and/or Barns

Hello and welcome to this month's Christmas challenge at
 Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Our challenge this month is Trees and/or Barns

Here is our inspiration pic ...

I recently received a card kit from my SIL and thought it perfect for this challenge since there are several trees on it.

I used my own papers for the card design. It's a great way to use up some of those never ending scraps.
I cut each circle using a die from the X-Stitch Nesting Circles die set from Tutti Designs. Then I cut them right down the middle and that is how I got the two perfect halves for this card design.

The image is cut from a decoupage sheet and is made up of four layers.  I used foam squares to adhere the layers to each other.

Continuing with the "trees" theme to the back, I added another couple of trees that were included in the kit.

This is a 15cm square card and fits perfectly into a 5.75" square envelope.
Forgot to mention that the little banner that says "Merry Christmas", in Dutch, was also included in the kit.  Since this card will be going to someone dear to us in Holland, the sentiment is perfect!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project, that falls within our challenge theme, and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at  Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Teen Birthday

Hi everyone.  I have a box of cards that are half done.  Started on them, then got busy and just didn't finish them.  Well, I promised myself that I would start working on them to get them finished.  Another thing that I'm trying to do is blog cards that have been done but not shared.  With the the latter in mind, here is the card I made for my nephew for his birthday which was in November last year.

I thought this would be an appropriate card for a seventeen year old, and since he liked it, I guess mission accomplished 😀

It was done using a card kit made by Marthy from Hand Made Hobby Shop in Holland.  The image has several layers which were fussy cut and then adhered together using foam squares.  I cut out the word Celebrate in blue and white and off set them a tad to make the work stand out a little more against the blue background.

I added the white panel at the back of the card so I had space to write my personal birthday wishes for him.

So, one card shared and many more to go, but never fear, I will get there! 😀

Till next time,

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #221 ~ Christmas in July

Hello crafting friends and welcome back to another fun challenge starting
 today at Crafty Gals Corner

Challenge #220 ~ Christmas in July!

Our wonderful sponsors for this challenge are ...

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

************

The Paper Shelter
Prize ~ 3 Digital Stamps

************

So keeping in mind that there are only 164 days left till Christmas, it is definitely time to start working on your Christmas card stash.
Using the Christmas Carols from The Paper Shelter is a great way to begin.

I love, love their files. You get a bunch of different images, some of which are pre-coloured.  The backgrounds are supplied too. How fun, quick and easy is that? Just print, adhere and you're done.  Awesome way to mass produce cards if you're short on time.

I used the pre-coloured images and uploaded them into the Silhouette, printed and cut them.  I print and cut the caroling couple three times so I could pop dot them together to create a little dimension on the card. I used a Wink of Stella pen, Nuvo drops, and a Glaze pen to add a few finishing touches here and there.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you liked my card, and feel inspired to get crafty and come play along with us. You have until 12:00 pm, CST, on 10 August 2021, to link your project to our challenge.

Stay safe and healthy!
Hugs,

CCAYR - October's Challenge ~ No Tricks, Only Treats!

Hello crafting friends, and welcome to October's challenge at
 Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round

Our challenge this month is No Tricks, Only Treats!

Sounds like this challenge was made just for me 😀
 A sweet Christmas, yum!

Crafty Ingredients:
Card design ~ Stitch & Do Kit #
Greeting stamp ~ Cardz TV - Gingerbread Christmas
Doily ~ Recollections

All the gingerbread cookies are more of the real gingerbread colour and not as bright as it looks on the pic.   I thought it would be a good idea to print it all on photo paper, and although it looks very pretty, it was very difficult to photograph.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round

Christmas Cards - Part 1

Hi everyone. Now that ALL Christmas cards have been received, (some must have taken a scenic route to get to their destination 😃) I can finally share with you some of the cards I made from a Christmas Book Card kit called Specialties No. 3 from Find It Trading, Netherlands.

I thought I would share the first 3 with you today so as not to make this post too long.

It was so much fun working on these cards.  I've completed 6 so far and plan to finish the others soon.  I got another one of these books for Christmas you see, so I want to get started on that one too :-)  It comes with 12 cards and uses a combination of stitching, hobby dots and a decoupage image as the focal point.

Thank you for visiting and spending a few minutes of your day with me.
I'll be back tomorrow with the other 3 cards from this kit. As for the remaining 6, I will share as I complete each one and add them my Christmas card stash for Christmas 2019 :-)

Crafty hugs,

January Challenge at CCAYR

Happy New Year friends!!!
To kick off 2019, we have a fun challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round hosted by the Gingerbread Gals

January Challenge ~ Snow Much Fun
Prize ~  please visit the CCAYR blog

I must have been a very good girl, because Santa was very kind and left me some super sweet crafting goodies in my stocking and under the tree!

Here is my card using one of my new toys - 3D Toppers from Hearty Crafts called Balls in Winter.

I used one of my cart stitching patterns to make the frame for this beautiful scenic bauble.  Not at all my usual traditional Christmas colours, but I love the way it came out.

I used silver ornamental corners and stamped a sentiment on the inside. The stamp is from the Christmas Sayings set by Creative Expressions.

Now it's your turn to join in the fun.
You have till the end of the month to link your project to our challenge.
Looking forward to seeing your festive creations.

Till next time, happy crafting and ...

Non Traditional Christmas Colours

Welcome back crafting friends. It's the first of June so time for another challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round :-)
Our challenge this month, hosted by the Gingerbread Gals is all about non-traditional Christmas colours :-)

June Challenge ~ Non-Traditional Christmas Colours
Prize ~  please visit the CCAYR blog

I'm a creature of habit, so for me the ONLY colours for Christmas are green, red and gold. And I'll also enjoy the odd blue, white and silver colour combination.  So for this challenge I had to think of other colours and it wasn't easy for me.  But as luck would have it, my SIL who lives in Holland and knows how much I enjoy stitching on cards, sent me another few kits and I fell in love with this specific one which I think fits this challenge perfectly.  After all, green, blue and grey are not the colour combo I would use for Christmas :-)

So, dear friends, what do you think about my non-traditional Christmas colours?
As always, I enjoyed working on these cards. I find stitching on cards very relaxing and it helps pass the time when you have to sit and wait for somebody somewhere :-)
I added little stitched corners to the inside of each card and stamped my Christmas greetings.
The images came with the card kit and are 3 layers thick. In case you also enjoy stitching on cards and would like this kit, here is the information ~ Stitch and Do 65 by Amy Designs, sold by Find It Trading.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you've enjoyed your visit and will play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your Christmas project to the CCAYR blog.  Please take a few minutes and visit our blog to see all the wonderful projects made by The Gingerbread Gals.  And don't forget to come back on the 15th, when the Christmas Belles will post their projects for your mid-month inspiration.
