A Halloween Cocktail

Hello crafting friends.  I have a Halloween card to share with you today.

I used the Olive Martini and the Boos! Cocktails die sets from Spellbinders to create this card.

The spiderweb patterned paper is from Authentique.

On the inside I used the Spooky Happy Halloween w/Shadow die set from Kat Scrappiness.  This square card measures 5.5" x 5.5".  All bits and pieces of cardstock used for the die cuts are from my scraps drawers.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed your visit.

Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ Away in a Manger

Hello and welcome to this month's Christmas challenge at
 Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Our inspiration song for March's challenge is π… π…‘ Away in a Manger π… π…‘.  That means that you can use any verse, phrase or word in the song to create your Christmas project.  Here are the lyrics of this song to inspire you ...

~ Away in a Manger ~
Away in a manger
No crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus
Lay down His sweet head
The stars in the sky
Look down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay
The cattle are lowing
The poor baby wakes
But little Lord Jesus
No crying He makes
I love Thee, Lord Jesus
Look down from the sky
And stay by my side
'Til morning is nigh
Be near me, Lord Jesus
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray
Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care
And take us to heaven
To live with Thee there
Take us to heaven
To live with Thee there.

Santa gave me these dies for Christmas and I hadn't had a chance to use them, so when I saw this challenge, I knew exactly what I was going to do πŸ˜€

A note from Rachelle Anne Miller:
I am an artist & designer living in the beautiful Adelaide Hills in South Australia with my husband and three amazing children! I love to create and am especially drawn to all things cute. I've worked on children's books, greeting cards, craft supplies, children's room dΓ©cor, tech accessories, and more. I love to bring out joy and imagination in my art and create something a little different to inspire and make you smile.

I made two cards for this challenge, one from each of our wonderful sponsors.  So let's start with Last Minute Manda.

I used the very sweet pre-coloured digi set called Snow Bears Christmas, and created four cards.  Each card uses one of the 4 digis that come in this set. Here is a close up of the 4 images ...

I used "Snow Buddies" for my challenge theme.  Using the Silhouette, I print and cut the images twice, then used foam square to adhere the two layers together to add a little dimension to the card.

On the inside I used a leftover strip of  the patterned paper to add a little interest, and stamped my greeting.

I also used the following materials to create these cards:
Recollections - 5.5" Square card base
Silhouette to print and cut.
Marianne Design - Snowflake Square
Spellbinders - Make it Merry Sentiments
DP - The Paper Studio - Foiled Snowflakes

For my second card, I used the adorable Woodland Snowman scene from RAM Stamps, and as you can see I also went with "Snow Buddies" as the theme for this card.

A close up of this sweet and adorable Winter scene.

In addition to this lovely digi, I used the following products to create my card:

Silhouette - card base
Studio Light - Trees
Marianne Design - Slimline Icicles
Cottage Cutz - Merry Christmas w/Shadow

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I would love to you see you play along with us.  You have until noon, CST, on 11 February 2025, to link your project to our challenge.

Graduation Card

Hello and welcome to my blog.  Today I'm sharing the card I made for my nephew's graduation from High School in Portugal.

The card base is a file from Silhouette, resized to make a 6.5" x 5" card.  I used various dies to complete the scene of this very wise owl.

Here is the list of the crafty supplies I used:
Classic Tales - Spellbinders - Large Die of the Month - March 2024
Wise Owl - Spellbinders - Small Die of the Month - March 2024
Celebrate Word - Karen Burniston
Text Banners - Marianne Design
Sunray Background Stencil - Lawn Fawn

I'm excited that I will be able to hand him this card and his gift in person πŸ˜€

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello dear friends and welcome back.  Today, I would like to wish all you a very Blessed Mother's Day! I would also like to take this opportunity to share the card I made for my mom ...

I used Honey Bee Stamps' Lovely Layers - Roses die set to create the rose. I cut the layers in different shades of cardstock and added a little shading using blending brushes.  The faux twine was created by using the Spellbinders Sealed Twine die.
Next, I got out my seal wax goodies and created the wax heart embellishment.

Although the leaves also come with different layers, I just used the largest layer and added a little shading to them.  On the largest leaf, however, I used two layers so it wouldn't look so flat.

I added Nuvo Crystal - Morning Dew, drops to give the illusion of dew drops. I must admit that I love the way they came out πŸ˜€

All the beautiful layers add a lot of dimension. I just glued the centers together and curled the edges a little. There was no need for foam squares inbetween each layer.

The sentiment was computer generated. The little rose bud is part of the Lovely Layers - Roses die set.

It is small but has beautiful dimension too, as I used all the layers for it. I thought that a little bow, from the Marianne Design Bows Punch die, was the perfect finishing touch.

I love that this rose is on the larger side.  This is a 6.5" x 5" card, and as you can see the rose fills up the front of the card pretty nicely. It fits in a regular A7 envelope and, even though it has lots of layers, it is just about a 1/4" thick so no need for extra postage.

Well, friends this is it for today.  Enjoy the rest of your Mother's Day celebrations. For all the moms who are not having a joyful day today, know that you are in my thoughts and that I've said a prayer for you.

God Bless,

Birthday Card for a Painter

Hi everyone and welcome back. Today I'm sharing the card I made for my son for his birthday.
He has a business 3D printing D&D models and then he paints them by hand. It started as a hobby, but he's so good that he's had several orders (see bottom of post).  Thinking about all the painting he does, I thought this card would be fun for him.

This was the perfect card to use up a bunch of scraps too.  πŸ˜€
The Painter's Palette is a die from Spellbinders.

On the inside I used the Happy Birthday w/Shadow die, from Kat Scrappiness, to cut out the greeting.  The paint splatters were cut out using a file from Silhouette.

I made this into a 5" x 7" card which fits perfectly into an A7 envelope.
And that was that for my card. My son loved it, so mission accomplished.

I thought I would include a few pics showing off his painting.  The details are amazing on such tiny little models.  Of course he does larger ones too, but these little ones leave me in awe, especially when he paints entire armies of them.

These little guys are only 1.5" tall and he managed to paint the pupils in the eyes!

An army in progress ...

This is one of the larger models.  This one is about 5.5" tall.  Isn't the painting amazing?

Look at the detail just on the base.  All painted by hand and then he added the little grass tuffets to make it even more realistic.  I guess he gets his painting skills from hubby, because I can't paint worth diddly!πŸ˜€

Well folks that is it from me for today.
I'll be back soon to share a few more projects with you.

Flying by with a Happy Birthday!

Hello crafting friends. I just got some new dies from Spellbinders and thought this one perfect to make a card for my for my son in law.

I started with a 4.75" x 6.25" card base in sky blue.  Next I cut out a bunch of clouds, in various sizes, using the Silhouette.  I adhered them here and there to add interest to the back ground.

I used scraps from my scraps drawer to cut out all the little pieces of the plane and of the banner.

I used foam squares to pop dot the plane and the banner to add a little dimension.

On the inside, I made a another sky blue mat and adhered the left over clouds. I wrote my personal message in the centre amidst the clouds. I think it came out cute and he loved it!

That's all for today. Thank you for stopping by.
