Dies R Us #178 ~ Witch Scene

Hello everyone, and welcome to our latest challenge at Dies R Us.

Challenge #178 ~ Anything Goes!
(As long as you use a die sold at the Dies R Us store)

Since it's the 1st of October, I thought I would kick off the month with a Halloween card.

I began by cutting the Witch Scene die in black, orange and mossy green card stocks.
I cleared all the bits and pieces from the black die cut and placed it on a piece of wide double side tape.  Next I paper pieced all the different colours onto my black outline die cut to achieve a colourful Halloween witch scene.  And what is Halloween without a ghost or two, right? So I added a couple of ghosts for a little more spooky look 👻  I also added a triple loop bow made out of orange organza ribbon to finish it off.

On the inside, I cut out a little pumpkin, adhered all the pieces together and added the remaining little ghost for good measure.

Here is a close up of the paper piecing I did in order to get all the different colours to create the scene. I forgot to mention that for the ghosts, I die cut them out of grey vellum and white card stock.  I put each vellum ghost thru my Xyron sticker maker.  This way, when I adhered them to the white card stock, the glue does not show thru because each ghost is uniformly coated with the adhesive material.

Now for the list of supplies, each linked to the Dies R Us store, for your convenience.

Lavinia World Challenge #22 ~ Fairy Prince, Oberon!

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #22 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

I have a very handsome fellow to share with you today.
This Fairy Prince, Oberon, has my faeries all atwitter 😀

Isn't he just a handsome fellow?

And yes, word has spread that he's coming to visit!!!

I used a clear Wink of Stella pen to give his wings this beautiful sparkle.

As much as I would love to tell you all that my colouring has improved this much, it just wouldn't be true.  I didn't colour him at all.  When you go to the Tattered Lace webside, they have a Floral Fantasy PDF download.  Once you've downloaded the images, you can then use your die to cut him out.

He is a rather large fellow, but so handsome.  My card is 5.75" x 5.75".  With his wingtip sticking out, the whole card does fit into a 6" x 6" envelope.  It may cost a little extra in postage, but he's totally worth it 😀  Please note that the above craft mat is in inches

On the inside of my card, I sponged some of the same inks I used in the front and then continuously stamped the Vine in VersaFine Clair, Shady Lane ink.

I had a lot of fun making my scene on this card. I love the combination of using dies and stamps.  It really is the best of both worlds 😀

Now for the supply list.  I've linked each item to the
Lavinia Wold store for your convenience.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed your visit and will make a project to come play along with us.  Although our theme is always Anything Goes, you do have to use physical stamps, either rubber or clear.

Lavinia World Challenge #21 ~ Silver Lining

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #21 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

If you're wondering why I have changed my blog to St. Patrick's day already, it's because I'm trying to rush out of February and into Spring 😀  I'm so tired of this cold already and I know that our temps are a lot warmer than yours, if you live up North, but I just don't do well with the cold and waking up to 42 deg F in the morning is way to cold for me!  Oh I can hear some of you going "Whimp!" and you would be right!😀  I really am, when it comes to cold weather!

Anyway, let's leave the weather and step into Fairyland where everything is always  beautiful, including the weather!  For my project, today, I'm using the beautiful Fairy Dust Silhouette.

When I saw the Silver Lining stamp, I envisioned this card in my head, and purchased the lovely fairy too.  Isn't it a beautiful wish to send to someone?  And, best of all, it can be used for a variety of occasions!

I began by inking the background using oxide inks in shades of blue. The I stamped the sentiment on a cloud using Memento Tuxedo black ink.  Next I placed all my clouds where I wanted them to be and stamped the fairy.  I love it that her fairy dust is lining this bottom cloud with gold 😊

Lastly, I added gold pen to the fairy dust and Ice Stickles to her wings.
I like the way it turned out and it didn't take very long to put together.

Now for the supply list.  I've linked each item to the
Lavinia Wold store for your convenience.

Lavinia World Challenge #20 ~ Alana Under the Sea

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #20 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

Today, for my project, I'm using the beautiful Alana.

I began by cutting a piece of the Spellbound paper to 5.25" x 5.25".
Next I stamped Alana using Memento's Paris Dusk ink.  Then, I stamped the Seaweed and the Shoal of Fish using Memento's Teal Zeal and Ranger's Distressed Pine Needles ink.

I put this aside to ensure that it was all nice and dry and went to work on my frame.  This is a 5.25" x 5.25" die by Jeanine's Art, called Beach Frame, which I cut out of kraft card stock.  I thought this would make the perfect frame for Alana.  I used several inks, which I've listed below in the supplies list, to colour the various elements on the frame.  When this was complete and the frame was dry, I adhered it to the underwater scene and then adhered it to a 5.5" x 5.5" top folding kraft card stock card base.
For the inside, I used the same Spellbound paper and stamped the Deeper than the Ocean sentiment in Memento's Teal Zeal.  And that was it crafting friends. This card didn't take long at all to make.

Now for the supply list.  I've linked each item to the
Lavinia Wold store for your convenience.
