Baby Name Plaque

I made this for a friend and although it didn't quite come out the way I had first envisioned it, I think it's cute. The baby's room is all done up in blue and brown with monkeys. I had to add some green to make it pop though, because when I just used blue and brown it was too blah. You can't quite see it from the pic, but I added little tiny dots with a silver pen to the name. It makes it look like little nails are holding the wooden planks together. I should have photographed it before I put the glass in, but ... live and learn. Maybe I should take a photography class next?! The thing I like most about this plaque is that it looks like the one mischievous little monkey is about to steal the other's banana :-). I didn't plan that way, but I sure like the way it turned out. I hope mommy likes it too, since little Marshall is way too young to care either way.

Cinderella Name Plaque

So, as promised, here is the last Cinderella item of this series. It is a name plaque. After going through many different scenarios, I decided on this one. It was a lot of fun to make and I'm happy with the way it came out. I hope that Rebecca loves it too! After putting it together, I actually decided that I didn't like the black frame for a 4 year old, so with the help of my great hubby, it is now a bright pink the same colour as the name. Unfortunately I forgot to take another pic so this will have to do. I may still ask my friend to photograph again and if that happens I will edit this post. The picture is not the best ... I had the darnest time photographing it. Not only because of the glass, but also all the images are cut using shinning cardstock. Hope you all enjoy it too and if you have any comments, please let me know.
