Happy Anniversary!

Hi everyone and welcome back. I hope your morning started well, and that you've managed to banish the Monday blues :-)

I wanted to share the card I made for my daughter and her hubby as they celebrated their 6th Wedding Anniversary.

It's a heart easel card! Isn't it pretty?

Here is a close up of the "easel" part.

And a close up of the swan. I'm just totally in love with these dies.

And here is a close up of the stamped portion of the card.

Now for the recipe:
Card base - Silhouette design #116469
Cardstock - White - GinaK heavy weight
Cardstock - Blue - The Paper Studio
Swan & Cattails - Marianne Designs dies
Beach Grass - io Dies
Banner - Spellbinders die
Cattails Stamp - Marianne Designs
Stamped greeting - Cardz TV - Happy Days Stamp set
Memento Inks to shade
Copic Markers to colour

I got the inspiration for this card from Astrid from Astrid's Kaarten. She has the most beautiful cards on her blog.  I really do love the way this card turned out. It took me a while to figure out how to reverse emboss the second swan, but I got it :-)

I hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog today and found a little inspiration in turn.

Till next time,
Crafty Hugs

Happy Anniversary card

Hello all.  Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready to face the Monday blues with a spring in your step :-)

I have a wedding anniversary card to share with you today!  This is a card a made for my daughter and her hubby.

The heart easel card with the swans.

A close up of the two swans and cattails.

Close up of the swan.

I stamped the cattails on the bottom of the inside of the card in order to make the scene a little more complete.

Recipe:
Silhouette Card design #116469
Cardstock:
GinaK Heavy Weight - White
The Paper Studio - Blue
Dies:
Marianne - Tiny's Swans & Cattails
Banner - Spellbinders
Tall Grass - io Dies
Stamps:
Cattails Border Stamp - Marianne Designs
Sentiment - Happy Days - Cardz TV
Memento Inks to shade & stamp
Swiss Dots Embossing Folder - Cuttlebug
Copic Markers to colour and shade

The inspiration to make this card came from  Astrid of Astrids Kaarten.  She has numerous cards on her blog using these beautiful swan dies.  The second swan was definitely a challenge till I figured out the way to reverse the die and emboss it.  I had never done this before, but as I always say, you learn something new everyday and you're never too old to learn new things :-)

Well, that is all for today folks.  I hope you enjoyed your visit and will come back.  Remember to leave a birthday comment here to be entered into my birthday give away.
I will be back on Wednesday with another challenge at Crafty Gals Cornet!

Till then,
Crafty Hugs.
