Fairy Stamper ~ Berry Picking

Hello friends and welcome to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

This was inspired by a childhood memory of cherry picking.  I remember going with my aunt and uncle to friends of theirs who had a cherry tree orchard. I was only about 7 or 8 at the time, so this was many, many moons ago. But I still remember the elation of climbing the trees with a little basket to pick cherries.  Of course, since they're are my favourite fruit, very few made into the basket, and those few that did got gobbled up on the way back to the house 😀
Now I know that these are not cherries, but I can only imagine that Fairy Berries are as sweet, and juicy, and as delicious as can be!

If you notice, Amia doesn't even have a basket near by.  Why bother, right? None will make in there anyways 😀
I began by inking in the ground, then stamping the berries in light green.  Next I went over all the berries with a red Faber Castell pencil.  This faded the little spots on the berries, so in order to get them back I used a Signo  white pen. Then it was time to stamp Amia positioning her just right to give the impression that she is picking a berry. I used a red glaze pen to give her dress a little dimension and colour. Her wings were coloured in shades of green and blue and then dusted over with glitter.  Lastly, I stamped the greeting, a few butterflies, and added little tufts of grass and small bushes to the ground.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment, another few butterflies and a delicious looking berry.

Now for the list of supplies I used to make this card, all linked to the Fairy Stamper store for your convenience.

Fairy Hugs Stamps
Sivelle (for the butterflies)
Fairy Hugs Glitter
Distress Oxide Inks
VersaFine Clair Inks

Lavinia World Challenge #25 ~ Fairy Pond

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #25 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

Sometimes, you just need a quick card and this is where the Lavinia background papers help.

You pick a design, a few of your stamps to create your magical scene and voila, you have a birthday card in less than 20 minutes. And it's such fun putting your different stamps together to create just the scene you want. I used Eden, Squirrel, Miniature Snail and Lily Pad stamps to build my scene. And then for some added fun, you take a few dies and complement your scene. I used tiny fairies from a Marianne Design die and placed them strategically on my card.  Doesn't it look cute - those little fairies sitting on the Lily Pads?

It's a magical card, right? So don't forget to add sparkle, lots and lots of sparkle 😀
In my card, I added Stickles to the Eden's wings and then taking a Wink of Stella clear pen, I highlighted the halo on the paper. You can see it on the above picture.  It looks beautiful in person but not so great to photograph. I also left a few blank spots in between the Stickles to show the lacy structure of the fairy's wings.  If you don't, it will all run together and look like just one solid wing.

For the inside, I used another tiny fairy just above the Fairy Birthday stamp.
I would like to mention that I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp all my images.

Here is the list of supplies I used, each linked to the Lavinia World Store for your convenience.

 Background Paper - Water Mist

Eden

Red Squirrel

 Miniature Snail

Lily Pad

Fairy Happy Birthday

Versafine Clair Nocturne

Lavinia World Challenge #23 ~ River Fairy

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #23 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

Sometimes, you just need a quick card and that is where the Lavinia papers come in handy.  There is such a wide variety of patterns and sizes, that there really is one suits your needs.  With this in mind, I used a sheet of the Moonlight Glow set to create the background for this card.

Next, I die cut the large River Faerie out of black card stock and her wings out of vellum.  Lastly,  I stamped the various images to create my scene.  I have listed all the stamps I used further down in this post.

I wanted to show you a close up of her wings. I went over the vellum die cut with a shimmer pen.  The sparkle is beautiful and give the illusion that the moon beams are shining on her wings.

On the inside of my card, I used a few distress oxide inks to imitate the colours of the patterned paper. In real life, it the colours look a lot closer to the front of the card than what I could get on the photo.  I masked and little bank to put little Pipin on top.  He's looking a the Happy Birthday greeting. All images were stamped using VersaFine Clair inks.

That finished off my card which only took about 30 minutes to make.  I spent most of the time deciding where to stamp what on that beautiful paper to create just the right scene. As promised, here is the list of supplies I used, each linked to the Lavinia Wold store for your convenience.

Poppy Stamps - River Faerie (Large)

Memento Ink - Grape Jelly

VersaFine Clair - Nocturne

"Under the Sea"

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #6 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

It's August and I'm in full Summer mode :-) With that in mind I made an ocean themed card using the lovely Guinevere mermaid.

I started by making my sea shell shaped card using the Sea Shell die from Marianne Designs.
I used Memento inks to shade in the embossed areas - Desert Sand and Angel Pink.  Then I added a few burlap flowers and pearls from Petaloo.

When  you open the card you see a pretty "under the sea" scene :-)
Here are a few close ups of the inside of the card.

First I stamped Guinevere and made a mask for the entire stamp.  Then, using Broken China and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks, I created the background using blending brushes.  For the sand at the bottom of the ocean, I used Memento Desert Sand ink.  Next I filled in my scene by stamping the little seahorse, seaweed and fairy barnacle. To finish it off, I added Stickles to her dress/tail and a few bubbles.
I coloured the rock with copic markers being very careful not to go over the black lines.  Pigment inks do not do well with copic markers, but I only remembered that after it was all done.  Colouring the rock was the last thing I did.  I'll have to try to remember this next time :-)

I continued the scene by stamping the jelly fish, shoal of fish and more seaweed, barnacles and bubbles, using Versafine Clair inks - Shady Lane, Acorn, Nocturne, and Monarch.
I also added Glassy accents to the bubbles to give it some dimension without making it more bulky.

Since I didn't want to ruin the scene with my written message :-), I created this mat for the back of the card and stamped the Fairy Birthday message in the center giving me plenty of space for my message
If you're wondering why my stamped image looks different than the original stamp ... well, the stamp was longer than my mat, so I cut it in half.
Oh boy, I can hear your shocked gasp from here :-)  These stamps are made of very good quality material.  You can cut them in half and use them as you wish, and then use them again as it was originally intended by placing the two pieces side by side.  You won't ruin your stamp as long as you don't cut any piece of the actual words or stars.

Here is a quick recap of all the products I used,
each linked to the Lavinia World store, for your convenience.

Well, crafting friends, that is it from me for today. Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed your visit and will make a project to come play along with us.  Although our theme is always Anything Goes, you do have to use physical stamps, either rubber or clear.
