Fairy Stamper ~ A Birthday Cocktail

Hello friends and welcome back to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

I have one of the birthday cards I made for my daughter's birthday.  And yes, I actually made 3 because I was commissioned by my mom and son to make a card for her πŸ˜€

This was one of those stamps that called my name as I was browsing thru one of the European Stamps sales events that Fairy Stamper holds every so often.  The best way to know about these special order sales events is to subscribe to their newsletter HERE.

Sometimes, a fancy card fold, a few dies and one stamp is all it takes to make a card πŸ˜€
I coloured in the image using copic markers.  For the card fold, I followed a tutorial by Sam Calcott from Mixed Up Crafters.  The stamp I used is called Dolphin Cocktail and it is from Studio Light, designed by Laurens Van Gurp.  During the last European Stamps sales event, there were quite a few of these new stamps by Laurens Van Gurp, all with a tropical "flavour". πŸ˜€  The two greeting stamps I was going to use were Birthday Wishes and Deepest Wishes, both Fairy Hugs stamps.  Unfortunately, the two diamonds came out a little smaller than I expected, so I had to look thru my stash of stamps to find something that would fit. The patterned paper was also purchased from Fairy Stamper a long time ago.  It is from a paper pad called CΓ΄te d'Azur and it is from Marianne Designs.

As you know I love anything and everything tropical or/and nautical so I had a lot of fun putting this card together.  And the best part ... my daughter also loves anything and everything tropical or/and nautical.  I guess the apple did not fall far from the tree in this case πŸ˜€  But then hubby/dad feels the same way, so it's in the genes 😁

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you will come play along with us and share your magical projects on our Facebook group.

Till next time,
crafty hugs!

Fairy Stamper ~ Sunrise Lake

Hello friends and welcome to my Fairy Stamper Friday share!

As the weather gets warmer, my mind is always near the water somewhere, where I would like to be :-) With that in mind, here are a few fairies visiting her duckling friends over at Sunrise Lake.

I began this card by inking in the far away shore. Next I inked in the sunrise and then the water.  Once all the inking was done, I stamped the ducks, cattails and fairies. Took a bit of time and added glitter to all the fairies'  wings.  Then I thought that the sky was a little to empty, so I added a few birds flying over the lake looking for a few fish for breakfast πŸ˜€

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment, inked the edges of the card and then stamped the cattails and the fairy.
I matted both the front and the inside onto black card stock and adhered them to a pink 5.5" x 5.5" card base.

Here is the list of supplies I used to make this card.  To visit the Fairy Stamper store, please click HERE.

Fairy Hugs stamps ~ Ducks, Fairy Dwellers, Fairy Life
Nellie's Choice stamps ~ Birds, Bullrushes
Fairy Hugs glitter ~ Pink, Lapis, Emerald
Distress Oxide inks ~ Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Spiced Marmalade
Kitsch Flamingo, Mustard Seed, Ground Espresso
VersaFine Clair ink - Nocturne

Nellie's Choice stamps were purchased during an European Stamps sales event that Fairy Stamper has every so often.  This week is one of those times when this special order sale is taking place.  There are many companies to choose from, such as Craft Consortium, Marianne Designs, Frog's Whiskers, Hefty Doodle, and many others. To visit a specific brand, click on European Stamps and then go through the drop down menu. So grab a cuppa and enjoy some retail therapy πŸ˜€

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you will come play along with us. Our challenges go live on the first Thursday of each month on our Facebook group.   All you have to do is to create a project using your stamps, and upload the pic to our challenge album.  There is a prize drawn for one lucky crafter, at the end of every challenge. πŸ˜€
