Cardz TV Cards Challenge #2 ~ Use Hearts!

TGIF! :-)
It's been a very busy week and I'm so glad it's Friday! How about you?

http://www.cardztv.blogspot.com/

Well, being Friday means that it's time for another challenge from Cardz TV. This weeks challenge is to use hearts on your cards. The prize is a Cardz TV stamp set of your choice generously sponsored by Mary :-)

Here is the Valentine card I made for my little Princess Emma :-)  She is going to be 8 months old in a week and this will be her very First Valentine :-)  I'm sure you've noticed by now that I have made all Teddy Bear cards for all her "Firsts" :-) I used my Cricut Explore to cut out this sweet teddy bear from the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge.  The heart card is from the Hello Kitty cartridge. The heart brads, flowers and bow are all from my stash.

This card came out somewhat smaller than what I had anticipated, so by the time I was done with my embellishments on the front of the card, there was no space left for a greeting.  So, instead, I got out my Beary Sweet stamp set from Cardz TV and went to town on the inside of the card :-) I just love all the different sentiments :-)  I also used the Happy Days stamp set for the center sentiment.

Here are the pics of the stamp sets I used.  Do you see all the "Beary Sweet" sayings? How could I have just picked one?  There is a saying for every teddy bear card you'll ever make :-)

The Happy Days set is one of those that I would recommend as part of a starter kit for a card maker :-) Just look at all the different occasions it can be used for!

I would love for you to make a card, use a heart or hearts on it and join our challenge.  You have till noon EST on Thursday, 12 February 2015 to make your card and to link it to Cardz TV challenge #2.
Can't wait to see all your sweet creations :-)

Till next time,
Happy Crafting!

HIMCR Challenge #175 ~ Any Holiday

This should be an easy one with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up real soon :-)
Our images and prize this week are being sponsored by My Besties. Take a moment to visit their online store. They have cute images and something to suit everyone's tastes.

For my card, I used their Elf Girl image. Isn't she adorable?
I coloured her in with copic markers. Used Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 die to cut the frame around her.  Greeting is a stamp from JustRite Noel Christmas Ornaments set. Flowers, ribbon and gems are all from my stash and the papers are all from my scraps drawer :-)

And here is what I did with the inside of my card. Kept it in the same colours and papers and added a candy cane stamp for a little extra interest. The sentiment is a stamp from Great Impressions stamps.
Scallop punch is from SU!

I hope you come join the fun this week at Hiding in My Craft Room and join us for our
challenge #175 which is all about making a card for a holiday of your choice.  You have till Saturday, 2:00 am PST, November 29, 2014, to link your project and stand in line to win any four of the images used by our DT this week from My Besties.

Thank you for visiting today. Hope to see you back soon.

Till next time,
Have a fun and safe weekend.

HIMCR Challenge # 173 ~ Super Scraps Saturday

Hi and welcome to Challenge #173 at Hiding in my Craft Room! Today's challenge is all about using up those scraps and if yours are anything like mine, then they probably multiply all by themselves in your scraps drawers.  I wonder if it would work if I put a few $20 notes in there? :-)

hidinginmycraftroom.com
Yes, I know it's wishful thinking! :-)  So, on to our sponsor this week.
They are giving away 3 digital images to their store and it will be Winner's Choice!!!
How cool is that?  They have the cutest images for all the different seasons, holidays and style of crafters!  To visit their webstore, you can click here.
For my card, I used one of their cute images called Peppin's Gift
All the papers are from my scraps drawer. I used the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder on the white strip of paper.  The snowflake border and snowflakes were all cut using MS punches.  I coloured in my image with copic markers and used my Gelly Roll Clear Star pen to add a little sparkle to his hat and his gift.  I added a sparkly silver glitter gem to the largest snowflake.

Here is what I did for the inside.  Continued with the scraps navy blue and white papers. Used the MS punch for the border and adhered a few of the snowflake cut outs to the sentiment.  The stamp used for the sentiment is from Great Impressions (ref: F5645), and was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

As you can see, it was a very easy card to make and I got to use quite a bit of my scraps.
So, go grab your scraps, make a project and join in the fun of our challenge #173. You have till 2:00 am PST on Saturday, November 15, 2014 to link your project to the Hiding in My Craft Room blog.
Can't wait to see all your lovely creations!

Till next time,
Happy Crafting!

CardzTV Cards Challenge #4 ~ Give Thanks.

Today, at CardzTV we have a wonderful challenge for you.  It is all about creating a
 Thank You card for Thanksgiving!
 http://www.cardztv.blogspot.com/

So for my card, I used the Teddy Bear Parade cricut cartridge and made this cute little teddy bear turkey :-)
The papers are from the Four Seasons paper pack by The Paper Studio. I used a Spellbinders die called Leafy Squares to cut out the burnt orange frame and the Swiss Dots embossing folder to emboss the dots on the white mat.  The greeting was punched out using SU! oval punches. Lace, brads and flowers are all from my stash.

I used two different stamp sets to make this greeting.  The word "Thankful" is from the Many Thanks stamp set and the "for you" came from the Happy Days stamp set.  Do you all see how wonderful these stamp sets are that you can mix and match at will to make just the right greeting you're looking for?  Here is a look-see at these two wonderful CardzTV stamp sets.  To go to the CardzTV stamp store, click here.

Let me show you the inside of my card.

I used the same burnt orange cardstock to cut another leafy square to frame my sentiment.  This is also a stamp from the Happy Days stamp set.  I added "1st" with a fine line sharpie and sprinkled a few of the cut out leaves around the card - after all it is Fall :-)

In case you are wondering, I made this card for my little granddaughter who is 5 months old, so this will be her very "1st" Thanksgiving.

You have until noon EDT, Thursday, November 20, 2014 to post your name and link your Thankful project to our challenge at CardzTV.  You don't have to use CardzTV stamps to enter, but you do need to create a new project as backlinks are not allowed.

Mary will be giving away one of her CardzTV stamp sets to one lucky winner, picked by Random.org.  I can't wait to see all your wonderful creations!

Till next time,
Count your Blessings and Give Thanks.

Hugs,

HIMCR Challenge # 171 ~ Any Holiday!

Happy Saturday all! A warm and friendly welcome to my newest followers! I'm so glad to have you here.  I hope that I can inspire you with some of my creations.

Now, on to our challenge # 171 at Hiding in My Craft Room.  Today's challenge is all about making a project for a Holiday, and it can be any Holiday.

Our sponsor for this challenge is A Day for Daisies. They are sponsoring the prize for one lucky winner this week and it will be a $12 gift certificate to their webstore, which you can find here.

For my card, I used their Pretty Ornaments digi image.  I used my copic markers and a Gold Sakura Gelly Roll pen to colour in the ornaments.  The greenery, at the top of the card, was made with a MS punch.  The little birds holding the festive lights is a die from CottageCutz.
The border was punched using another punch by MS.  Gems and bow are from my stash.

Here is the inside of my card.  Last week, I won a prize from a blog hop at Cherish Each Precious Day. The prize was $25 to Great Impression Stamps.  I love their stamps and can't tell you how thrilled I was to purchase some more.  This sentiment was one of them :-)

Now, you have till Saturday 2:00am PST on November 1, 2014 to link your project to our challenge, at HIMCR, in order to join in the fun and to stand a chance of winning some very cute images from our sponsor.

Till next time,
Crafty hugs.

CardzTV Challenge #3 - "Scene It"

Yes, that's right, our challenge for you this week at CardzTV is to make a card with a Halloween scene.  Isn't that fun?  So, let all your ghouls come out to play and join our challenge at CardzTV :-)

You will have till noon EST on Thursday, November 6, 2014 to link your card to our challenge.  Mary from CardzTV is giving away one of her great stamp sets!  You can browse and/or purchase CardzTV Stamps here.

Here is my "Halloween Scene-It" card for this challenge and although it came out totally different from what I had in mind, I'm still very happy with the way it did turn out :-)

Materials used:
Cardstocks - Bazzill
Town border -  Impression Obsession Die - Halloween Hill Town Border
Haunted/lantern tree - Cottage Cutz die - Lantern Tree
Grass border - Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge (cave girl)
Sentiment - CardzTV stamp set - Frankly Frightful

This is the "Frankly Frightful" stamp I used.  Doesn't it have the most spook-tacular sentiments perfect for Halloween? I love it! :-) Since these are clear photopolymer stamps, I was able to cut mine and shape it so it fit on my card.  It's not problem at all to place the pieces back together on a clear acrylic block.

And here is the inside of my card.  Just added a few more Halloween details to bring it all together.  The little poem was found online and computer printed.

I hope you enjoyed my Halloween scene.  I definitely think, that the ghoulies and ghosties will have loads of fun on Halloween night :-)

For more inspiration, take a few moments and visit my DT sisters' blogs.  You won't regret it, I promise you.  These incredibly talented ladies have come up with the most gorgeous cards!  You will find their names with a link to their blogs on the right hand side bar of this post under CardzTV.

I can't wait to see all the wonderful scenes you're going to create for this fun challenge :-)
Good luck everyone!

HIMCR Challenge # 169 ~ SSS

Hi all!  I'm back today with challenge # 169 for Hiding in My Craft Room
This week's challenge is to make any project of your choice using scraps.  Yes, it's that easy!

Our sponsor this week is The Paper Shelter.  They are giving away a $20 gift certificate to their store.  Grab a cup of coffee or tea and take a few moments to visit their store.  They have a very cute and sweet selection of images that you will love to work with.

For my card, I used this cute image.  Isn't this fairy sweet?  I typed in the sentiment close to the image instead of make a special embellishment for it.  I cut the stars border using a MS punch.  Then I added the little star cut offs to the green paper for some interest. I'm so glad that I got to use some scraps for this card.  Even the ribbon was a small left over piece :-)

All you have to do to join in the fun of our challenge is to go grab a few scraps from your stash, make a project using them, and then link it up to our challenge # 169 at HIMCR.  You have till Saturday, 18 October, 2014 @ 2:00 am PST to link your project to our challenge and to stand in line to win the very generous prize from our sponsor.

If you need some inspiration, then take a few moments and visit my DT sisters.  You will find a link to their blogs on the right hand bar of this post, under HIMCR DT.

CardzTV Card Challenge # 2 ~ To Die For

Happy Friday all!  We have a very fun and easy challenge for you at CardzTV today.  All you have to do is use a die cut on your card. It can be made by any one of your electronic machines or by just using one of your favourite dies.

Before I show you my card for this challenge, I want to introduce you to CardzTV new stamp set release.  Mary has really out done herself as usual with these cute, cute stamp sets.  They are ...

Aren't they adorable?  And just in time for all the holidays that are coming up.  To buy CardzTV stamps, or to browse through numerous other choices, click here.

Now for my card.  I used my Cricut Expression to cut out these dies using the Happy Haunting cartridge. I just thought that this frame went beautiful with my Mr. Bones :-)

The skeleton ribbon is from Walmart. The DP is from a stack called Haunted Mansion by Recollections.  The sentiment is a stamp from the new CardzTV "Frankly Frightful" stamp set.
These stamp sets are absolutely wonderful to work with.  They are photopolymer stamps that stamp clean and sharp every time, using a variety of inks.  I used SU! punches to mat the sentiment.

I used the same papers for the inside of my card, computer printed a Halloween poem, that I found on the interne,t and added a few bats for good measure :-)

Now fellow crafters, go dig out your dies or machines and create a card to join in our challenge at CardzTV.  I can't wait to see all your beautiful creations.  Mary is giving away one of her stamp sets to one lucky participant.

For more inspiration, take a few moments and visit my DT sisters' blogs.  You will be amazed at the wonderful cards they created for this challenge. You will find their names with a link to their blogs on the right hand side bar under CardzTV DT.  You may also want to visit the CardzTV Gallery where an amazingly talented group of CardzTV designers post a card every day for your inspiration.  Yes, that's right, I said every day!!! :-)  You really do want to take a few minutes to visit, you won't be disappointed.

Till next time,
Happy Crafting!

HIMCR Challenge #166 ~ Banners!

It's Saturday, so it's time for another challenge at Hiding in My Craft Room.

Laurie is sponsoring this challenge and she will have four winners this week.
Her prizes for challenge # 166 at Hiding in My Craft Room are:
1.  A cricut cartridge
2.  A blending set of 3 Copic markers
3.  A Gypsy silicone case
4.  An embossing folder.

Instead of a card, I have a calendar page to share with you today.  As you may know by now, every year I make calendars to send to my family overseas.  I normally put one or two photos on the top section, but keep the decorations to a minimum because layers add weight and right now, overseas shipping is astronomical!

I buy the calendars at Hobby Lobby ready made. All I have to do is adhere the little stickers for the days, and then figure out a theme for the month.  Here is a closer look at the month of January 2015.

Don't we look festive ringing in 2014? :-) That's me, my daughter and my SIL who normally comes to the US to spend Christmas with us. For this month, my background paper is from the Stardust stack by DCWV. I added a few snowflakes cut out of holographic paper and made the banner.  The word "January" is computer generated and printed. I used one of the Spellbinders Ribbon Banners to cut it out.  I went over it with my Clear Star Gelly Roll pen to add some sparkle. All the snowflakes were cut using MS punches.

What will you create for this challenge?  Just remember to link it up to our Challenge # 166 at Hiding in My Craft Room, by Saturday, September 27, 2:00 am PST.  Can't wait to see what you will come up with :-)

I hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog.
Thank you for stopping by and for the sweet comments you leave.

Till next time,
Happy Crafting.

Cardz TV "Anything Goes" Challenge and Blog Hop

Happy Sunday all.  I'm so excited to welcome you to day 2 of the Cardz TV Anything Goes Challenge and Blog Hop.

My team mates and I have made a card for your inspiration using one of the new stamp sets from CardzTV.  These are "Picture This", "Summer Fun", "Many Thanks" and "More Critter Captions". I have included a pic of each so you can see for yourself what great stamps these are.  So fun too!

For my card, I used "Summer Fun".  Yes, that is correct I used a summer themed stamp for my Christmas card :-) That is one of the great things about CardzTV stamps, they are so versatile :-)

I just love the way this card came out and how appropriate this stamp is for this image. I'm thinking that this card is going to make it's way to my hubby :-) The DP is from Doodlebug Design called Home for the Holidays. The oval mats were cut using Spellbinders Large Ovals and Scalloped Ovals.  Mr. Smores was cut using a die from Cottage Cutz and the sentiment, stamped using the "Summer Fun" Cardz TV stamp set was matted on ovals cut using SU! punches. The little hearts banner is a die by La La Land.

I used the same green Paper Studio cardstock for the inside and another heart banner. All in all, a pretty simple card to make but festive too :-)

Now in order to hop along with us, there are a few things you need to do.
Make sure you visit all my team members and leave a comment.  There is candy along the way to be won, all you have to do is to follow their directions.  Mary at Cardz TV is giving away two of her new stamps sets, and I know you won't want to miss this, so make sure you leave her some bloggie love too :-)

I thought that since I used the Summer Fun stamp set, that it would be great to give one away to one lucky participant as my blog candy.  All you have to do is become a follower of my blog and leave me a comment on this post.  I will use random.org to pick a winner and announce it on Wednesday.

Here is the blog hop line up.  If you get lost along the way, just come back and you can see where to go next.  You should have arrived here from our fabulous Rhonda.  Your next stop along this fun hop is the amazing Anne-Marie.
