Lavinia World Challenge #26 ~ Rue

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #26 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

I love the Lavinia papers and have quite a collection going. So today I'm using Silence to create a tall skinny Christmas card, showcasing Rue.

I began by stamping Creeping Vine all the way at the top to give the illusion that Rue is hanging from it. You can't tell very well from the pic, but I part stamped Rue in Versafine Clair, Octurne ink and her hat in Versafine Clair Monarch ink. Next, I stamped by scene on the ground. Pipin and one of the Whimsical Hares were stamped in Versafine Clair, Acorn in.  The Fir Tree 1 was stamped using Versafine Clair, Shady Lane, on both sides of the paper, although you can only see a little piece on the right bottom corner. I thought I was done, but being one that can't leave well enough alone, I stamped the Minni Slender Mushrooms in Monarch ink and then added a few snowflakes to fill in the empty spaces.  I used Versafine Clair Blue Belle ink.  Looking back, I wished I had stamped them in white! I'll know better for next time 😀

On the inside, I stamped the Fairy Merry Christmas greeting and a few more snowflakes, all using the Blue Belle ink.  I like the way this card came out. It measures 8.5" x 4" and fits into a regular #10 envelope.
Here is the list of supplies used, each linked to the Lavinia World store, for your convenience.

Lavinia Challenge #15 ~ Fairies to the Rescue

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #15 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

Sometimes, all you need is an old calendar and a few Lavinia stamps, and voila you have a quick and easy card in no time!  Let me show you how.

Like most of you I love beautiful papers and tend to hoard them.  However, when I was going through a 2016 calendar, I saw this beautiful wintry landscape, and when this card popped into my head, I knew that I had to use it right away 😀

It's the Fairy Foragers going to Santa's rescue!
Not too sure that Santa needs rescuing, but it's nice all the same, that the fairies are going to check up on him  :-)

Since the calendar was made of a semi gloss paper, I scanned the wintry landscape and then printed it on semi gloss photocopy paper.  All that was left to do was to stamp the greeting using StazOn Jet Black ink.

As you can see this was a very easy card to put together and it didn't take me more than 15 minutes.  As always,  here is the list of materials I used to create this card. Each is linked to the Lavinia World store for your convenience.

Christmas in June :-)

Hello and welcome to Lavinia World Stamps' 3rd challenge.

Yes, crafting friends, I started on my Christmas cards in June :-)  Since I love everything about Christmas, it's never too early for me to start on my Christmas cards.  As you know, I also love stitching on cards, so you can imagine how much I enjoyed making this card.

I used Versafine Clair Shady Lane to stamp the Mistletoe image from Lavinia Stamps, and added pearls for each berry.  Next I stitched the pattern, from Stitch & Do 92 kit,  in green, red and white, and accented it with the same pearls. Using Versafine Clair Nocturne, I stamped the Fairy Merry Christmas greeting, also a  Lavinia stamp.

On the inside of the card, I continued the theme by stamping the Mistletoe image several times and in several angles along two of the edges of the card.  Next I stamped the Spirit of Christmas sentiment and added
one of the Fairy Forages.  As the greeting suggests, there has to be a fairy on the card, right? 😄
Since I didn't want to add the extra bulk on the inside of the card, instead of using pearls for the berries on the mistletoe, I added pearl dots by using a Viva Decor Pearl pen.

Here is a quick recap of the stamps I used with links to the Lavinia World store, for your convenience.

Well, crafting friends, that is it from me for today. Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed your visit and will make a project to come play along with us.  Our theme is always Anything Goes as long as you use stamps, either rubber or clear, but NO DIGI stamps allowed.
We prefer that your submissions use Lavinia stamps, but it's not a requirement.  However, if you do use Lavinia stamps in your project, your chances of winning are doubled.
