With Deepest Sympathy

Hello crafting friends.   Today I would like to share a sympathy card I made for a friend who recently lost her brother.  These are without a doubt the hardest cards for me to make.

These are the dies I used to put this card together.

I began with a 5.5" x 5.5" square card and centered the Paris border on it. I normally use the grid on my craft mat to help me centre my card and then the dies on my card.

Now it's time to cut the other pieces. I used all five layers to make the flower and cut a few flourishes for the leaves. I always tend to keep Sympathy cards on the plain and simple side and this one was no different.
Once the front of the card was made, I worked a little on the inside. I cut a mat of the same paper as the flower and adhered it to the card. To finish it off, I stamped the greeting with Memento Tuxedo Black ink

As I've mentioned before, every so often, Dies R Us runs a big sale on international dies. During these times, you will find dies from companies such as Marianne Designs, Lea'bilities, Joy Crafts, etc. The best way to know about these fabulous sales is to subscribe to the Dies R Us Newsletter. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you will be able to enter your email address and be put on their mailing list.

Also, in case you haven't heard, Dies R Us now sells a great variety of crafting products, not just dies!  You really need to take a few minutes and see what there is available. I bet you will find something from your wish list :-)

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope I was able to inspire you to use your dies, create a project, and come play along at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for your chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the first and fifteenth of every month.

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

AMB Illustrations

Prize ~ TBA

This week I chose an image from Lacy Sunshine called Victorian Winter Emily, and made this Christmas card. As you know by now, I love making Christmas cards and take every opportunity to make one :-)

I used the Anja's Oval die from Marianne Designs to create my card. I cut out Emily using my Cricut Explore, coloured her with copic markers and adhered her to the front of the card. I made a small embellishment by using the sprigs that came with this die set, ribbon from Michaels to make the bow, berries from Wild Orchid Crafts and little green sprigs  punched out using a MS punch.
On the inside, I used a stamp from Cardz TV called Tiny Tidings and stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope I have inspired you to make a project to join in the fun with us.  You have till noon, CST, on Tuesday, 7 March 2017.

I would like to play along with the following challenges:
Hiding in My Craft Room ~ Any Holiday
Die Cuttin Divas ~ Ribbons & Bows

Prize: 3 digital images

I used the Bella with Rose image to create this adorable Valentine's card for my little granddaughter.
This makes it the first card for Valentine 2017 :-)

I used my Silhouette to cut Bella Teddy and to flip it and cut it again. I glued them back to back with the white twine in the middle to create a spinner. My "3 of a Kind" for this challenge are the flowers and the gems that adorn the doily ribbon die, which is from Marianne Designs.
For the inside I used two sets of Cardz TV stamps - Happy Days and Beary Sweet.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Please take a few moments and visit our blog for some awesome inspiration from my DT sisters.  Also, don't forget to visit our wonderful sponsors this week.  You have till noon, CST, on Tuesday, 29 November 2016, to link your project to our challenge #99, "3 of a Kind", at Crafty Gals Corner.
