Baby Boy Cards at Cardz TV

Happy Friday crafting friends!
The Mailbox Smiles Team have a new challenge for you starting today.

As always, our challenge is Anything Goes.
Prize ~ A stamp set from Cardz TV.

As you may already know, a new bundle of joy graced our family last week. My little grandson was born on Tuesday.

Since my daughter has done everything for him in the Lion King theme, I decided to make this card for his birth.

I think that by now you realize that I'm addicted to stitched cards. I really enjoy this activity - it's just so relaxing. Mostly I sit in my hobby room, put some music on softly in background and stitch away.  But it's also something that I can take on the go.  I have a small tin where I put all the supplies I'm busy with and just pop it in my bag :-)  How I wish I knew how to do this when my kids were at school.  It would have made those countless hours of waiting in car lines, band practices, Taekwon-do, etc. a lot more pleasant :-)

Now to get back to this card ... card base is from Recollections - 5.5" x 5.5" in white.  Cardstocks are all from GinaK.  All the animals were royalty free images from Google.  Since I firmly believe that babies are a gift from God, I was so excited to have the Heavenly stamp set from Cardz TV.  Take a quick look at this set ...

Isn't it a wonderful set? Such sweet and precious sentiments that you can use both on the front of your cards and on the inside.  Of course, these can also be used on a variety of projects - the possibilities are endless.

I was commissioned by my son to make a card for his little nephew.  Since he bought him a teddy bear, I thought this next card was perfect.

For this card, I used the Silhouette cut file # 80431.  Cardstocks are all from GinaK.
To go with the whole teddy bear theme, there are no better stamps than those found on the  Cardz TV Beary Sweet stamp set.  Take a look ...

Just look at all these "Beary" fun stamps :-)

Father's Day Card at Cardz TV

Happy Friday crafting friends!
Welcome to our second challenge at Cardz TV.  The Mailbox Smiles team has lots of wonderful inspiration for you this week.

As always, our challenge is Anything Goes.
Prize ~ A stamp set from Cardz TV.

I'm having a ball with the stitched card kits I got for Christmas and for my birthday. Thank you Marian and Tonny :-)  Here is another card I stitched, this one for Father's Day for my son to give dad.

This kit came with the card base, the image decoupage sheet as well as the matching floss.  I began by stitching the border all the way around and then worked on the flourishes. Next I fussy cut the 4 pieces of the image and pop dotted them to give the image a beautiful dimension.
I stamped the greeting on the front of the card and the sentiment on the inside of card with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  Here is a quick look a this wonderful stamp set. With Father's Day just around the corner, this is a must have in your stash!

Mother's Day Card at Cardz TV

Happy Friday crafting friends!
We are starting a new term at Cardz TV. Mary has shaken things up a bit. We now have two teams that post every alternate week, so there is inspiration for you every Friday. I'm happy to tell you that I was selected for the Mailbox Smiles team. Our other team is the Card Crazy Crafters :-)

As always, our challenge is Anything Goes.
Prize ~ A stamp set from Cardz TV.

As promised, I'm going to share with you the very first card I embroidered and what was the start of a new branch of this card making hobby of mine. I love embroidering cards!
I made this card to give to my mom on Mother's Day.

I love these pretty colours together and love the linen card stock base. So elegant! For the center of this card, I used one of the new flower stamp and die sets from Cottage Cutz. I used copic markers to colour in the image. I punched the corners with a decorative punch and added a little gem for some additional bling.

I stamped and cut two sets of the rose stamp, so that I could fussy cut the center rose and pop dot it to add some dimension to the image. I went over the roses and the butterfly with a Wink of Stella pen to add a little sparkle here and there.

On the inside, I used the Going in Circles stamp set from Cardz TV.
Here is a quick look at this stamp set. It has so many greetings for a variety of occasions. I also like that you can add a little image to the center for a little extra interest :-)

Birthday Wishes at Crafty Gals Corner

Hello crafting friends. Hope you're all doing well!
Time for a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner!

Challenge #119 ~  Anything Goes

Our sponsors this week are:

Prize: 3 digital images

Prize: 2 Images DT Used

I chose this super cute fairy from Conie Fong, called Emma and Ellie, to use as the focal point for my card.  This is the second card that I've embroidered and I must admit that I'm addicted. This is really shocking! You see, I dislike any form of sewing! :-) But for some reason, I find embroidering cards, very relaxing and enjoy seeing the progress as I work myself around the card.  Who knew?! :-) I will share the very first card I embroidered  after Mother's Day, as I made it for my mom.

The card kit comes with the white linen card stock. The pink, white and blue card stocks I used are all from Recollections. I used my Spellbinders dies to cut out the circles and a small eK punch for the corners. Bling is from my stash and the stamped greeting is from a no-name brand that I found at the Michaels dollar bin a long time ago.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and if you have a chance to embroider a card, take a shot at it. You'll love it as it is very relaxing.  Now it's your turn to make a project to play along with us this week.   You have till noon, CST, on Tuesday, 25 April 2017, to link your project to the Crafty Gals Corner blog.

Till next time, happy crafting!
Hugs,
