Crafty Gals Corner #262 ~ 10th Anniversary Blog Hop

Hello crafting friends and welcome to our December challenge and our 10th Anniversary Blog Hop at Crafty Gals Corner

Challenge #262 ~ Anything Goes w/optional twist - Make it Merry!

Our sponsor for this challenge is

Prize ~  $10 Gift Certificate

I created my card using the Cardinal digi from Beccy's Place, and the Stitch & Do No. 159 from Amy Design

If you're one of my followers, you're probably thinking that you've seen me use this gorgeous Cardinal before and you would be right.  I just love this pre-coloured digi and have used it in the past to make several other cards as well as a bunch of gift tags.  It is one of my go-to digis when in a time pinch.

On the inside, I printed a sentiment from Silhouette and added a reduced in size version of the same Cardinal digi.  And that was it for this card, my friends.

In addition to our regular challenge, we are also hosting a Blogiversary Blog Hop! This marks 10 years that Samantha got challenges, sponsors and some WONDERFUL ladies together, to inspire you with beautiful crafty creations.

It's a Girl Thing ~ Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!
Prize Winners will be announced on February 15, 2020.
We have many caring Sponsors and DT Members who have partnered together to  bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's TS home page. Thanks for learning About Turner Syndrome.

Seven talented and caring designers are offering prizes on their personal blogs as well:

My TS related project is inspired by the TSA official color board:

Using the Floral Faerie die and stencil from Tonic Studios, I created this fairy card.

First I used the die to cut out the image and then using the stencil feature, I used Nuvo Embellishment Mousse to add  metalic dimensional details to the fairy and the frame.  You can see the beautiful shiny effect on the 3rd photo of the card.

For the background I embossed a piece of card stock using the Dry Stone Wall embossing folder, from Crafter's Companion.  Next I added a little depth by sponging Memento Ink's Desert Sand ink here and there on the "stone wall".  To add a little more interest, I added a piece of organza ribbon and a few butterflies to finish off the card.
On the inside I added a sentiment and a couple of fairies using Lavinia Stamps.

I was asked to write one sentence about something I learned regarding TS during this blog hop.  To be honest I knew nothing about TS before I joined this blog hop and now I'm having trouble choosing just one thing to mention.  But I would have to say that learning about what it actually is has made the most impression on me, so my one thing would be "It's a genetic disease where females are born with only one X chromosome".

You can't have a blog hop without candy, and as you saw above, there are many wonderful sponsors and therefore many wonderful prizes to be won.  I'm offering a $10 gift certificate to a digi store of your choice.  All you have to do is leave a comment on my blog and mention in your comment what your "one thing" is that you learnt about TS.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and for your help in spreading awareness of Turner Syndrome.

Crafty Gals Corner's 6th Blogiversary!!!

Hello and welcome to our 6th Blogiversary blog hop, at Crafty Gals Corner.
To start off the celebration, and to be eligible to win the sponsor prize, you'll have to visit each blog, leave some bloggie love, and collect a secret letter from each teamie.  At the end of the hop, you need to go back to Crafty Gals Corner blog and leave a comment with the Secret Word".

The theme for our challenge #202 is ~ 'Tis the Season
(Anything to celebrate this festive season)

Our amazing sponsor helping us celebrate our 6th Blogiversary is

Prize ~ 3 Digi Stamps

In addition, Crafty Gals Corner will also be sponsoring the following prizes:

1 pair of LulaRoe Leggings
(So you'll be nice and comfy while making your next project😀)

1 x $5.00 gift certificate to digi store of choice.

Using Ginger Spice Cocoa Mug digi, I made this fancy window card.
The base of the card is a design from the Silhouette store. The card stock and candy cane paper are both from The Paper Studio. I coloured the image using copic markers.

Since there was no place to write a message on the front of the card, I made a panel at the back.  The stamp is from Great Impressions and the red card stock is from Recollections.

The final size of this card is 5.5" x 5.5"., and as you can see it folds flat for mailing.

And now, as promised and for your convenience, here is the list of the teamies participating in our blogiversary blog hop.  I have linked each name to their blog, so grab a cuppa, click and enjoy 😀

Lena - You are here and my secret letter is S

Now, don't forget to go back to the Crafty Gals Corner blog and leave a comment with the secret word.  Also remember that you have to leave a comment on every blog as you hop along the way.

In addition to the lovely prizes being offered by Crafty Gals Corner, I have a prize for a lucky winner who leaves a comment on my blog.  This will be a $10 gift certificate to a digi store of choice.  I would love for you to become a follower of my blog as well, but it is merely a kind request, not a requirement :-)

Since we are a monthly challenge blog, you have till January 7th to complete your hopping :-)

Crafty Gals Corner Blog Hop

Hello crafting friends! Welcome to the Crafty Gals Corner Blog Hop! We do these blog hops twice a year in order to welcome our newest team members! Some of these lovely ladies have extra candy you can win, in addition to the sponsor prize!

Our sponsor this week is:

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

In order to win the sponsor prize you need to leave a comment ON EACH of the gals below.  Each of these gals has a letter you must collect. At the end of the hop return to the Crafty Gals Corner post and leave a comment with the Secret Word!

Using Lily Mermaid, I created this card for my son's girlfriend who turned 21.

It's an easel card. I used a variety of dies from Marianne Designs and Cottage Cutz to create this underwater scene. Since I'm a tropical girl at heart and love anything and everything to do with the sea/ocean, I had loads of fun putting this card together.

Here is a pic showing the front of the card, closed flat for mailing.

And here is a pic of the inside. I love this message in the bottle die from Cottage Cutz. I computer generated the greeting. All my card stock is GinaK's. I used Memento Teal Zeal ink to sponge in the background and Memento Desert Sand to shade in the large scallop die.  I find it tedious to cut each die out of individual colours, so normally cut them all in white and then use my copic markers colour them in with my colour of choice. The little bottle was cut out of clear acetate and vellum.  When you layer them together, you get the appearance of frosted glass.

In addition to the sponsor prize that you can win by hopping along with us, I have a little package of crafty goodness to give away.  All you have to do is leave a comment on this post.  I will pick a winner on Tuesday night and announce it in next week's post.  Oh, yes, I almost forgot to tell you that Samantha, our team leader, has shaken things up a bit this term.  We now have two teams at Crafty Gals Corner.  We have the Crafty Belles, which I'm proud to belong to, and the Scrappy Gals. Each team will host the Crafty Gals Corner challenges on alternate weeks. Now for a pic of my blog hop candy ...

Just in case you lose your way, here is a list of the blog hop order to help you along your way.

Lena  { You are here and my letter is "L"}

Well, crafting friends, I hope you enjoyed my card and will join in this fun blog hop. Not only will you get to meet all of our new team mates, but you will enjoy loads of inspiration along the way.  Now before I go, I will tell you that my letter is "L" for Lena!   Nah, just a happy coincidence :-)  You have till noon, CST on Tuesday, 11 July 2017, to play along with us and to link your project to the Crafty Gals Corner blog.

Till next time, happy crafting!

Challenge #103 at CGC & Blogiversary Celebration

Hello dear friends. I have to begin this post by apologising for being MIA. I have family and friends visiting from overseas and my time is being spent with them, catching up and just having fun.
I do miss visiting your blogs and looking at your lovely holiday creations, but I will try to make up for it in January.  Until then, I hope you will all be patient with me :-)
I stole a few minutes to write this post to invite you to join in our 2nd Annual Year End Bash and Blogiversary Blog Hop at Crafty Gals Corner.

We have SEVEN wonderful sponsors who are helping us celebrate.

Prize: $20 gift Certificate

Prize: $12 Gift Certificate

In addition, we have some of our DT members, who are also offering blog candy on their blogs.  Please follow their individual instructions in order to stand a chance of winning some wonderful prizes.  Here is a pic of the prize I'm giving to one lucky participant.  All you have to do is to leave a comment on my blog sharing one of your New Year's Resolutions :-)

I made three projects using various images from some of our wonderful sponsors.

I used Blessings of the Season by Beccy's Place to create this birthday card for a dear friend who celebrates her birthday on Christmas Day.

For the next card, I used Friends Don't Let Friends Wine Alone 2 by Bugbaoo Stamps and made this Christmas card. I made this image more Christmas-y by adding a Santa hat to the friend on the left, a holly hair clip to the friend in the middle and some Christmas earrings to the friend on the right.  I believe these gals' celebration will last from Christmas to New Year! :-)

For my last card, I decided to make a start on my Easter 2017 cards, so using Egg Colouring Avery by The Paper Nest Dolls, I made this cute Easter card that may find its way to my little granddaughter :-)

I hope you will join in the fun and help us celebrate our 2nd Blogiversary!   Here is the blog hop schedule for you to hop along.  Remember there are prizes to be won along the way :-)
