Graduation Congrats

I have a couple of graduation cards to make this year.  So for my first one I thought Mickey would express the happiness of graduating from High School.  One chapter closed and another one about to open in these young men's life.

The school colours for the first young man are blue and silver.  Well I had to add a little black to make it pop and to match Mickey, whose image was cut from the Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge. I embossed the silver mat with the Diamond Plate Cuttlebug embossing folder. The 2013 was cut using two EK punches and the numbers were stamped. The mortarboard is a cut from the Locker Talk cricut cartridge.  I used some silver thread and a brad to make the tassel.

For the inside, I added Mickey again and a combination of different sentiments. I added a few silver stars just to add a little interest.  You can't quite see from these pics but the silver paper has a pretty shine to it without being very sparkly which I thought was perfect for a young man. They aren't too much into the sparkly things in life :)

I'm not quite sure yet what I'm going to do for the next grad card I have to make, but as soon as I figure it out and make it, I will be back here to share it with you.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Lena
