The Paper Shelter #557 ~ For That Special Man

Hello friends! Welcome back to our newest challenge at the The Paper Shelter

Team A - our challenge this week is For That Special Man.

My special man has a big birthday coming up on the 22nd, so I thought that a big birthday deserves a BIG card :-)  Take a look ...

You probably guessed it by now ... there are 70 candles on this card.  Keep scrolling ... 😀

For the front of the card I used the So Classy pre-coloured digi from The Paper Shelter.  How perfect is this?!

I printed the image twice onto photo paper, and then fussy cut part of the classy guy so I could have an extra layer to give it a little dimension.

The card base is a file from the Silhouette store.  Each panel has 11 candles.  I cut out 7 panels.

On the 7th panel, I only used 4 candles and then made up my own embellishment mat.

I cut out a few of my own embellishments to create the Happy Birthday greeting panel, which is also the last on the card.

It was a labour of love to adhere all the candles and especially those 3 layered flames, but I like the way it came out so it was worth it.  I'm hoping hubby will love it.
I've made two of these in the past, and he thought they were awesome, so now it's his turn.  😀

Although this card is 73" long when opened, it's only 8" x 5.25" and is about half inch thick, when closed.  It fits perfectly into an A9 envelope (8.75" x 5.75") and since it'll be hand delivered, it's not a problem.  The other two that I mailed overseas, I placed them in a bubble envelope.

Now before I love you and leave you, I'd like to remind you that The Paper Shelter offers a $30 gift certifcate to one lucky winner.  In order to get this prize, you must use a product from The Paper Shelter.  However, if you have not used a product from The Paper Shelter, you still stand a chance of winning 3 digis of your choice.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope my card inspired you to get crafty and come play along with us.  You can find our challenge blog HERE.

Crafty hugs,
