Hello crafting friends and welcome back. I know that I've been MIA, but life happens sometimes, and it takes over our crafty time. Very inconsiderate if you ask me! More on this towards the bottom of this post.
Still, I stitched this card to give hubby as we celebrated our 37th Wedding Anniversary today.
It was a wonderful day spent with the kids and grandkids.
Hubby loved his card, so mission accomplished. I got the pattern from Pinterest. I used gold and silver mirri cardstock for the numbers and for the mats and layers. It's been a while since I stitched on a card. It was very enjoyable!
As to why I've been MIA - it all started a couple of weeks ago when I took a tumble and hurt my knee, my shoulders and my ribs. It really does take longer to heal as you get older. It hasn't helped that I've been in a Christmas decorating and house cleaning frenzy. I have not allowed everything to rest and heal properly. But I'm very excited that I have family arriving from overseas next week and I wanted everything done so I can spend all my time with them :-) I'm almost there, so things will continue to heal and I will hopefully get back to the crafty world soon.
To my American friends, I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving weekend. Wishing you all a wonderful time with your loved ones, and safe travels to all who are travelling.
Till next time,
Lena
Oh Lena, I am so sorry to hear that you took a tumble and I know from experience (following my horse related fall in the spring) that we just do not heal quite as quickly these days. I do hope that you are beginning to feel better. Belated congratulations and what a stunning card you made for Hubby. We celebrated our 36th anniversary on 15th November...my, how time flies. I expect you know what I mean when I say that I feel no different now than that 20 year old girl did 36 years ago!! xx
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful, Lena. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! xoxo
