Lavinia World #42 ~ Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Hello everyone and welcome to challenge #42 at Lavinia Worldwhere the theme is always Anything Goes!

I saw several of these cards being made by some fun crafters and wanted to try my hand at one.  I'm not too sure it's what I was expecting, but it's certainly different :-)  This card is called a "Turn me Inside Out" card.  Let me show how it works ...

So this is the front of the card. I blended the sky using various shades of Distress Oxide inks in blue.  Next I stamped the trees using a variety of Memento and VersaFine Clair inks.

Then when you open the card ... there is Santa and his reindeer flying over the tree tops :-) Cute, right?  Now here is something I have to share ... you really do need stiff acetate.  Mine was not that sturdy and since the Santa stamp is a rather slim image, I added another piece of acetate behind the original and then covered it up by placing a moon behind Santa.

On the other side of the opened card, is where you stamp your sentiment and have plenty of space to write your own message.  I also cut a plain circle in white to adhere to the back of the moon, so you wouldn't see the double acetate.  Lastly I stamped and heat embossed a few snowflakes.

I think I will give it another try, but rectify a few things such as use a different image, use sturdier acetate and probably choose a different size as a card base. But all in all, I'm happy with the end result of this card.

Now here is the list of crafty ingredients, each linked to the Lavinia World store, for your convenience.

Thank you so much for coming by.   Now, it's your turn to make a project and come play along with us.  Although our theme is always Anything Goes, you do have to use physical stamps, either rubber or clear.

 NO DIGI stamps allowed.

The winner of the challenge will be able to proudly display our Lavinia World winner's badge on their blog, and receive a $15 gift certificate to the Lavinia World store.  Lavinia World offers the complete range of Lavinia stamps and papers.  Although Lavinia Stamps is from the UK, Lavinia World is a US based store that ships worldwide.

Also, please note that we are not part of any other entity or Facebook group that carries Lavinia stamps.  ONLY the cards posted to Lavinia World Challenges will be entered into the drawing for the Lavinia World prize. Also note that the gift certificates are ONLY valid at the Lavinia World store
