Three Kings Ornament

Hello crafting friends and welcome back to another Fairy Stamper Friday DT share.

I made this card using some of the very first dies I purchased back in 2010 and some of the very new ones I  got about a week ago.  Not only have I used old and new dies, but I also used a stencil and stamps.  Oh, and let's not forget the glitter :-) Love it when I can mix and match various crafty supplies to create a card.

I began by using an ornament die to make a mask. Using the negative part of the mask, I adhered that to the front of the card. Next I began building my scene by blending in the snow banks and sponging in the night sky.  Once I had the snow the way I wanted, I stamped the 3 Kings.
Once my scene was done, I used the positive cut of the masking sheet an covered the ornament while I blended in the background using the Laurel stencil. All that was left to do on the front was to add a couple of little bells, holly and a piece of baker's twine, to finish off the ornament.
On the inside of the card, I first used the stencil to create the background and then stamped the sentiment.  Here I added a few pinecones, some foliage and a few berries.
I think it turned out pretty well.  It measures 6.5" x 5" which fits into an A7 envelope.  Since there is no bulk to it, it will be easy to send overseas without having to pay an arm and a leg in postage :-)

For your convenience, here is a list of all the crafty supplies I used, each linked to the Fairy Stamper store.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will join us on our Fairy Stamper Facebook group and share with us all your beautiful projects.

Merry Christmas!

Crafty hugs,

  4. Beautiful! I think it was a really clever idea to use the negative part of the ornament as a frame for this scene. Lovely.
