CCAYR ~ Silver Bells

Happy New Year crafting friends.  May 2021 be all that you wish for!
To kick off 2021, we have a brand new challenge at
Deanne has come up with some awesome challenges for us this year.
Each month you will be required to make a Christmas project starting with one of two letters of the alphabet. Put your thinking caps on and come play along with us.  It's going to be loads of fun!!!

This month our letters are A or B.

I chose B and this is what I came up with.

Using an embossing folder that I have had for a while and never used, I decided to make a couple of cards using Bells. On the card on the left, I embossed the piece of the cardstock and then shaded it using a sponge dauber.  I used Metallic Silver Leaf Rub 'n Buff to colour the bells silver, and a red Sakura Glaze pen to colour the berries.  I used letter and star stickers to finish the card.
On the card on the right, I embossed a piece of navy blue cardstock and then lightly brushed the Metallic Silver Leaf Rub 'n Buff all over the raised areas.  I stamped the greeting with Versamark and heat embossed it using fine silver embossing powder.  You can see more of the shine in the pic below.

On the inside I used a very old stamp that I have and heat embossed it using the silver embossing powder. Coloured it using copic markers to match the colour of the card.  These cards were made using the Ring Out the Bells 3D Embossing Folder by Crafter's Companion.   It's awesome to batch produce when you need many cards in a small amount of time.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.
