Lavinia World #34 ~ Laundry day in Fairyland

Hello crafting friends and welcome to challenge #34 at Lavinia World,
where the theme is always Anything Goes!

Yes, dear friends, even in Fairyland you have laundry day.

You just can't escape it!  After all, fairy wings have to sparkle and shimmer.

But can you imagine doing your laundry in this magical setting?

It would be a lot more relaxing without the obnoxious beeps and rings telling you that the load is done 😀.

To create this scene, I started with a piece of Midnight Haze paper. I love the Lavinia papers. Sometimes, when inspiration is a little lacking, taking one of these papers just helps picturing a scene in your head.  Then all you have to do is grab your supplies and put the idea to paper.
  And that is exactly what I did. Once I had chosen my paper, I went through my Lavinia stamps, pulled out a few and built this scene from there, starting with the Spiral of Spells stamp.  I used Memento Desert Sand ink, and using the MISTI, I stamped it several times in order to get the depth I wanted. Next, I stamped the Wet Wings wash line, and then using the Star Blossom and the Willow images, I built the scene around it.  I felt that there had to be a couple of fairies looking out for their wings, so I stamped two of the Fairy Foragers. It still looked like it needed something more, so a friendly dragonfly and a butterfly came into play.  I used Gelly Roll Glaze pens to colour in the star blossoms and also scatter some berries here and there on the foliage. You can't tell from the pic, but I went over each line, on all the fairy wings, with a Gelly Roll clear glitter pen. All I can tell you is that these wings are squeaky clean, and sparkle and shimmer just the way they supposed to 😀

I normally do a bit of decorating on the inside of the card too.  I just think that, bringing in a little magic onto the inside of the card, ties it all in beautifully.
