Hi and welcome back. I can't believe that we are almost half way through October and I only have 4 Christmas cards! So in the spirit of making more, I have one to share with you today.
The Merry Christmas die is from Memory Box. I just love this die - it cuts beautifully and it practically makes the card. So, you will be seeing a few more cards made using this die, but with a variation of embellishments and since I'm running late in making cards, these will hopefully be quick to make. Remember in my crafting corner, quick means about a half hour, not 10 minutes :-)
The image is called Little Angels, a Stampendous stamp. They are so cute. I decided to stick with white and blue for this card as the little darlings are walking on snow. I coloured it with copics, used my clear dust pen to add sparkle to the wings, and used Liquid Applique for the snow. The ribbon I used for the bow is from my stash as is the little snowflake brad that is holding the bow together.
Some of you have asked me how I make my bows. I mostly make them using my "The Ultimate Crafter's Companion". It was one of the first items I bought a few years back when I started making cards and I still use it quite often, especially to make bows, boxes with lids and even for envelopes.
For the inside, I used a sentiment stamp from Stampabilities, matted it on the same blue paper and trimmed it using a MS snowflake punch. Added a little snowflake at the top with a tiny gem in the middle just to give it a little something special.
And voila, done in about 30 minutes.
I will be working on one last Halloween card for this year, which I'm hoping to be able to share with you tomorrow. Thanks for visiting my blog and for all the bloggie love you have left. Also, many thanks for all the congratulatory comments and good wishes you have left. I'm having a lot of fun being part of the Hiding in my Craft Room design team.
Hugs,
Lena
