HIMCR # 121 - Use a Critter

Good morning crafty friends and well come back.  Today's challenge at Hiding in My Craft Room is to use a Critter.  It can be any kind of critter stamp, die cut, digi stamp, scrapbook page or whatever else you come up with as long as it is about a critter.  Laurie has a wonderful prize up for grabs this week ~ it's the Wildlife Cricut Cartridge, filled with critter images :-), so do join in the fun to stand the chance to win this wonderful prize :-)

The card I made for the DT post is all about Penguins.  I just love them, they are so cute and adorable and these particular penguins carry a wonderful Christmas message ~ JOY ~ which to me is what Christmas is all about.  It begins with the JOY of celebrating Jesus's birth, the JOY of spending time with family and friends, the JOY of good food and of course the JOY of opening presents Christmas morning :-)  These are just some of the Joyful things I enjoy at Christmas.  There are many, many others, but I wouldn't want to make this a never ending post lol

So here is my card ...

The image is a Whimsy Stamp that I coloured with my bic markers. The papers are all from my scraps stash.  The poinsettia flower is from Prima. I added some red stickles to the berries, some tiny pom-poms to the end of their hats and a tiny gold brad to the middle of the flower to keep it all together. For the snow, I used Dazzling Diamonds glitter from SU! and voila ... a card full of JOY :-)

I would love to see what you all come up with, so head on over to the HIMCR #121 Challenge - Use a Critter and join in the fun.

Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate your bloggie love.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs,
Lena

  1. What a cute stamp. As you can see on my blog I also love pinguïns too.
The colors you used and the different shapes are working so well together.
