My original idea was to give it the impression of Scooby Doo fog :-), but that is way beyond my capabilities, so I went with the spooky sky instead, and even then I'm not too sure I succeeded the way I wanted to. I began by making a mask for the moon and one for the grass. Then I sponged London Fog Memento Ink lightly all around the page. Once that was done, I went back, removed the mask and used Dandelion ink to sponge in the moon and Bamboo Leaves to sponge in the grass.
I have to tell you that because some of these pieces are so small, I cut them all in white and then used my copics to colour them in. For the larger pieces, I used the correct colour of cardstock.
For the inside, I used a spider web die, also from Cottage Cutz. I cut it out in white and then went over it with my light grey copic marker. The spider is part of the same die combo. The sentiment was stamped with an Inkadinkado stamp. To give it a little colour I used a green copic to go over the flourishes and coloured in the little pumpkin orange.
I'm totally in love with Cottage Cutz dies. I'm fairly new to them because it wasn't till recently that I discovered that I could used them with my Cuttlebug. I love that most of them have the ejection foam. It helps so much not to have to pick out the little bits and pieces. They cut smoothly and cleanly - always a bonus to not have to go back and to do some fine trimming with my little scissors :-)
This is definitely not your "half an hour" card, at least it wasn't for me, but since I really like the way it came out, it was worth every minute it took me to put it together.
I hope you enjoyed your visit today. If you like my card or have any suggestions, I would love to hear from you.
Till next time,
God Bless.
