King of the Grill

Here is the Father's Day Card I made for my son to give Dad.   This card is the image of a very typical Sunday afternoon at our home :) My hubby loves to BBQ and my son enjoys helping him.  We all enjoy it very much. He is always concocting new basting sauces and marinates and it always comes out yummy. A BBQ at our home is always an adventure that ends with us having more than an elegant sufficiency :)  I had to include our puppy, Maverick, who always stands by in the hopes that some scrap makes its way to him, and of course it wouldn't be a complete BBQ without a little lizard stopping by.

For the wall, I used an embossing folder from Tim Holtz and lightly distressed it using Memento Desert Sand ink. For the floor I used a piece of terracotta cardstock and scored the "grout lines" by hand.  The potted plant is a Jolee sticker. The grilling dad is a digi stamp from Digital Delights called Grilling George. The puppy and the grill are cricut cuts from Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. For the little flames on the grill, I used a grass punch - a great idea I got from my friend Laura from The Queen's Card Castle. The little lizard is also a Jolee sticker from Mickey's Safari.

For the inside, I found this sentiment online.  I printed it and matted it using the
Spellbinders Labels 2 dies.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing this adventure in card making with me.
I would love to hear from, so do leave me some love :)

Hugs,
Lena
