My very dear friend in South Africa has just had her last major surgery after a two year battle with breast cancer. She is a survivor and has shown great courage through this entire process. It's really hard being on the other side of the world when I so much want to be there with her and for her. So, amongst a lot of prayers, I have also made her a few cards to encourage her along her journey. Here is the one I made last night. I used a stamp that my son gave me for Mother's Day and coloured it using pencils and blended with gamsol. I went over some of the lines with my Clear Star glitter pen to add a little sparkle to the card. The purple mat is punched with an EK Success punch and embossed with the Caramelo Cuttlebut folder. The image itself is cut with the Spellbinders Labels 22 die. It's off in the mail, so hopefully she will receive it within the next week or so.
Have a wonderful day.
Hugs,
Lena
That is a beautifull card.
ReplyDeleteThe glitter pencil makes it even more beautifull.
I have to look if I can buy them here also.
Stella will love that card i am sure!
By the way is that a die that made the edge?
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice!!!!
Obrigada pela visita no meu blog e pelos comentários! Este seu cartão ficou lindo. Amo beija-flor. A pintura ficou perfeita! Ainda não conheço a Clear Star glitter pen. Vou ter que procurar por este material!
ReplyDeleteHi ladies,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog and for leaving me some love.
The glitter pen I used is the Clear Star by Gelly Roll from Sakura. It adds glitter but remains see-through so it just adds the bling without blacking out the original colours.
Marian: the edge of the card is done with a punch, not a die. When you come over, I'll show you :)
Beautiful card Lena! I pray your friend feels better soon. I love the stamps! Your son has good taste. Great job with the coloring.
ReplyDeleteLots of Hugs,
Laura
