Hello crafting friends and welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop, in celebration of The Paper Shelter's 13th Birthday on the 8th of December! This will be a two week challenge, with both teams taking part, and it's our way of thanking The Paper Shelter for sharing their wonderful images with us, and sponsoring our challenges.
The theme for this challenge is Celebrations!
Using the super cute A Curious Cake digi an A Curious Cake paper pack, I created this tower card.
I used my Balloon edger dies from Made to Surprise's Terrific Towers Excellent Edges set.
I printed all the different papers on cardstock, in blocks of 7" x 7". Then used my trimmer to cut the panels and the dies to cut out the balloons.
On the back of the "tower" I made an extra panel to write my personal message.
Here is a view from the top. It really is a showstopper card 😀 On the above pic, you can also see that I cut out the cake a couple of times and layered the images upon each other using foam squares, just to add a little dimension. I printed the cake onto photo paper so that it is beautifully detailed and crisp.
As you can see, the card folds flat for mailing. You may have to create a special size envelope for it though, and pay a little extra postage, but I think it is worth it. For me it was not a problem as mine is going to be hand delivered.
Here is a close up of the lovely and delicious looking cake!
🎂 Happy 13th Birthday The Paper Shelter!!! 🎂
