Hello crafting friends and welcome to this month's challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round. On our "The 12 days of Christmas" challenges, this month we have Eleven Pipers Piping.
This is November's inspiration pic.
Our challenge this month is to have Eleven of something or a Holiday Carol/Song.
Here is my card ...
I used the O'Holy Night Scene die set from Crafter's Companion, and stamped the sentiment from the Glad Tidings stamp set by Cardz TV, on the inside.
And here is my holiday carol inspiration ...
O Holy Night!
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary soul rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!
Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night divine
Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the wise men from Orient land
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name!

Here are a couple of fun facts about this Christmas Carol ... it was the very first Christmas song played live over the radio. It was transmitted in 1906 by Reginald Fressenden. The author of O Holy Night lyrics was Placide Cappeau, who was a commissionaire of wines, and part-time poet. He lived in a small village near Avignon in France, during the 19th century (1808-1877).
And now you know! 😀 Thanks so much for stopping by today. Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project that falls within our challenge theme, and come play along with us. You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.
